  1. I have my eye on Cuddle Bunny, Goddess of the Blue Moon, Topper, and OCCO: Ambrosia.
  2. Thanks for the ideas girls. I love the idea of scent lockets. I have started a new thread on this so I don't get too off-topic here!
  3. Yep, that's exactly what I meant Basically I hate wasting anything, so why not add my own colour or fragrance to the wax and make them into new candles? Most of my candles are recycled wax from other bits and pieces anyway Good to know I can do it with the wax tarts once they have lost their efficacy rather than throwing them out!
  4. I'd been sticking clear of the OCCO line because I figured I had EoW so why not just buy my own scents to mix with it? But I have heard such good things about them and the new Ambrosia just sounds soooo good and right up my alley, so I am going to give it a try! At least I won't have to worry about getting the ratio right
  5. This is from my journal on PheroTruth in regards to Essence of a Woman copulin smell. I have to agree with Raq On and others who say they actually like the smell, I kind of do too! I had read a LOT about the smell of copulins before this arrived, and everyone was saying it was terrible – words like urine, butt cheese, baby poo, and cat pee were being bandied around – and I was honestly expecting something really rank and awful. I was very surprised when I smelled it in the bottle and all I really got was alcohol and a faint, not too unpleasant scent behind it. But I figured the bad smell must happen when you apply it. So when I did apply it, I was still expecting the worse. But what surprised me was that I actually – dare I say it – kind of liked the smell? I mean it didn’t smell pretty like flowers or fruit or something, but it was pleasing to me. It actually smelled really familiar... and I realised it smelled a bit like, ahem, myself? I don’t really know how to describe this... Even though the smell was what I would consciously describe as unpleasant (I got the strong cheese smell from it personally), on an unconscious level I kind of enjoyed it and wanted to sniff in more. I think I found it pleasing because I had some good associations with the smell, which I had never registered consciously before. Smelling it brought on memories of sex, and being aroused or turned on. It even just smelled like myself after a workout or heavy sweating, particularly the smell around my crotch when I am sweaty (sorry for the imagery there). Maybe it sounds a bit gross but I think we are all somewhat programmed to like our own smell, which is sometimes why we don’t recognise when we have bad BO. Now that I know what to smell for, I can definitely recognise the smell of my own natural copulins on me, and Essence of a Woman comes pretty close to imitating it. Application: I recognise that while I have pleasant associations with the smell, not everyone wants to smell that directly, so I will reiterate what has probably been said hundreds of times here and say that a cover smell is a must. I read around on this forum and followed the advice I found, and applied two drops, one split between my wrists and one on my cleavage, and let it dry down for 20 minutes. It did change smell as it dried, becoming weaker, although maybe that was just me getting used to it. Having ran out of my only fruity sample, I tried covering it with several perfumes – first the sample of Summoner’s Spell (citrusy and incensey to my nose), JLo Live (sweet, commercial perfume), and Moroccan Rose (gentle, rose smell) from the Body Shop. None of them covered it, in fact they all seemed to clash with the smell and actually made it smell like I was trying to cover up something foul I would NOT recommend these smells as covers for Essence of a Woman. I did go out in them but I just *felt* like I smelled unclean.
  6. I know this is an old post but I've just found it, what a good idea! I just wanted to add another way I like to scent my room is I leave scented candles on the windowsill. My room gets sunlight mostly in the morning and early afternoon, and as the sun melts the candles just a little the scent wafts throughout the room, becoming stronger at times as the sun is stronger. When I feel the scent is growing weak I burn the candles down a few centimetres and start again. With this method I don't even have to remember to scent the room from time to time, it just happens naturally with the sun!
  7. Tried spraying a heap of Passion in Pink on a cotton pad, let it dry out, then put it in my cleavage today. The heat from my skin warmed it but I don't think there was a lot of melding of chemistry as most of it wasn't in contact with my skin. Still got a bit of the "curry" smell, but it was definitely fainter! I got whiffs of the nice smell throughout the day, but didn't fell like it was really strong at any time, even though I put heaps on the cotton pad. I think it diffuses much more slowly and maybe more evenly this way. So this method is a winner for me! The main problem was I was scared the cotton pad would fall out of my cleavage, or someone would see it there and think I was trying to enhance my bust with tissues or something! I'm also not sure how well it would work if I wasn't wearing a low cut top. Anyone know of some other good places to try? I was thinking maybe getting a cheap, cotton bracelet that would soak up oil or liquid and getting some on that. Any other suggestions?
  8. Sorry if this has already been answered elsewhere and I've missed it but I have a question about the post-use condition of the pheromones in the phero enhanced wax melts. I like to make my own candles and I understand that pheromones, even in wax form, should not come into contact with an open flame, so would the wax from the wax tarts be safe to use for candles after they have been heated and cooled a few times, e.g. after they have lost most or all of their scent? Do the pheromones "burn off" or is it just the scent that gets used up?
  9. Ok, I'm definitely intrigued enough to try it now with my next order! It sounds like even if I don't like the smell that much on its own it is light enough to be blended with something else, so maybe a full bottle is in order. How sad, my last order hasn't even arrived yet and I'm already planning out the next one!!
  10. Yep... I really appreciated hearing that at the time Halo, thank you I got so confused by the discussion that started there, especially the "there is only one type of androstenol" part, but I didn't want to question an expert...
  11. Ahh ok. I've never used a primer (I don't even really wear make-up) but my flatmate has one... Maybe I will squeeze a little out to see what the texture is like... lol
  12. Wow, they each have 30 drops?? That sounds like so much - how can they possibly cover the smell?! Ok, adding an OCCO to my next order!
  13. Hey, that's actually a pretty cool idea!! I might have to give that a try!
  14. True, I had no doubt my skin chemistry is *special* lol... but I definitely think the smell that I am describing as "curry" (although the more I think about it, the more I think it is just sweet pepper) became more pronounced when I diluted it with alcohol... Maybe only because the alcohol caused the pink note to die down? Nonetheless I am interested to see how the scent changes so I will try a few different ratios I think. All in the name of science! I wore just a little of the PiP spray today but also a few sprays of Pink Sugar and I think the combination was perfect scent-wise, however it was pretty light phero-wise. Plenty of ways around this though (add pink sugar to the mix, add pheros to the pink sugar, wear unscented heart & soul with the combo, etc....)
  15. Ok I have an update on the "curry" smell - I wore this again and a THIRD person who had no connection to anyone else and again in a different setting walked into the room I was in and immediately said, "is someone having curry??" I had to fess up then and say I thought it was my perfume. I had her and a guy with her smell my wrist and they definitely said the "curry" smell was coming from the "perfume". But when I asked them if that was a bad thing they were both adamant that they did like the smell - they said it was delicious, like food, made them hungry - unusual, but very good! My feeling is that maybe the smell of curry is not that great, but this just smells similar enough to curry that it gets mistaken for it, but it is still good in a way that actual curry is not. Also just wanted to mention this was with an alcohol spray I mixed myself with 1/3 perfume oil and 2/3 alcohol, which clearly has an amazing level of diffusion from even one spray. I think the curry note really comes out in this ratio, and I know different ratios bring out different notes, so I am thinking of altering the ratio to try to mellow out the curry a little. Does anyone have any thoughts on whether I should add more perfume oil or more alcohol to achieve this? I am leaning towards more perfume oil as I think the curry smell was weaker in the original oil version?
  16. Ok, thank you. It is still a bit hard for me to "visualise" what it is exactly, but I guess I can only try it and find out!
  17. Also I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who can get that way with alpha androstenol. Some of the people on PT had me feeling like I was a bit weird for it...
  18. Oooh a Heart's Ease wax melt sounds nice! I have ordered in the phero wax melts and can't wait to try them out on my household. We could sure use it at the moment...
  19. Ok thanks for the help guys! I think a sample of this is in line for my next order
  20. That is such a cool idea! My cat gets very stressed when we are not home, she really likes human company and doesn't like being left alone. Maybe this will be just the thing for her! I'll definitely look into it!
  21. Thanks for all the reviews. I ordered a sample of this because I wanted something that would make a couple of people I know feel less "defensive" around me, sort of help them relax and take what I say the best way possible. Couldn't hurt to have something to help me relax too! I'll let you know how it goes when it arrives!
  22. I'm looking forward to this arriving just so I can experience the self-effects. I suffer from a lot of anxiety and have trouble calming down sometimes. Even alpha androstenol seems to make me feel nervous. Anyone noticed this having an effect on those around you as well? My house mates could do with some chilling out sometimes...
  23. I've been thinking about getting this one as it sounds like a great carrier for La Femme Mystere, but I'm just not sure the scent will work on me... how strong is the musk? Does the lotus in it give it an "aquatic" smell?
  24. Wore my sample vial of this out today. This is one that changes drastically on me from the time I put it on until it dries down. I get all the lovely, sweet fruitiness at first, but then within twenty minutes the musk seems to come out to play, which on my skin makes it a little soapy and powdery. The combination actually smells a little bit menthol-ly to me. Sadly musk just doesn't seem to work on my skin, no matter how much fruit is with it
  25. Thanks for all the info! Reading this post helped answer a few questions I had! One more thing though - what exactly is silicone? Is it closer to an alcohol or oil, or is it something else altogether?
