  1. Haha, skin chemistry can be so weird. But it's great when scents change on your skin because it makes the scent completely your own.
  2. This one didn't work for me. It smelled like I was drinking cherry cough syrup in a smokey, floraly bar.
  3. This is a very pretty delicate scent. It reminds me of one of my favorite teas that contains licorice, mint and cardamom. It was spicier on my skin than on my mom's, but it was very pretty on both of us. It's not overpoweringly spicy, just delicate.
  4. I just wanted to pop in and add that I'm very glad the perfumes are all natural. I have exceptionally sensative skin and these have all been great. I was just curious what made it cloudy.
  5. This smells exactly like peach juice. It's a very believable fruity note that makes you smell like peaches! Fruit perfumes aren't usually my favorite as they have tendency to morph on my skin and then smell terrible, but this one smells lovely. Very feminine and pretty. I don't get much sugar out of it, just juicy peaches.
  6. This. Is. Gorgeous. I must own a bottle I think. I had to really, really shake it to get it cloudy ( If it's ok for me to ask, what makes it cloudy? I'm curious.) It's an incredibly sweet vanilla. It might even be a little too sweet, and has a touch of maple syrup. ( You'll notice that my family and I think lots of things smell of maple syrup, so it could just be us.) I just love the scent. It reminds me of good creme brulee. My brother likes it enough that he was sort of huffing the sample vial until I took it away from him. As it dries down it gets less syrupy and more very gorgeous vanilla. I certainly hope that other guys love this as much as my brother did. ( He really, really loved the smell of this one. Enough that he asked why guys can't go around smelling like girly vanilla. )
  7. Wow...really? It really does smell like Vanilla to me. I've had it on for a few more hours now and it ages beautifully on the skin.
  8. This is very pretty, it's a light vanilla-y scent. You can smell the sugar, and it really does bring to mind spider webs. I don't get a lot of baby powder from it. It's slightly powdery, but nothing too overt. On me, it smells a lot like BPAL's Dorian.
  9. Mmmm...this is delicious. I'll be getting a bottle of this for sure. It smells like incense, mostly sandalwood on me and has lots of throw. On my mom it smells like sweetly spicy baby powder.
  10. When wet this is very sugary, and smells kind of fruity. As it dries down I get more hints of sandalwood, but its still very carmalized. If I can get in there fast enough to get a bottle of this, I might.
  11. I'm for sure going to get a bottle of Phero Girl with my next order ( I'm afraid of the stock running out before I have money to get a bottle) on me it smells thicker. The oil itself is the thickest perfume oil I've ever seen. I remembered to shake the oil until cloudy, and the one day I didn't it did have a much " thinner" smell.
  12. Magical Properties: Lust, Passion, Desire, Extreme Sexual Stimulant! Prominent Notes: Vanilla, Amber, Patchouli, Cinnamon, Dark Sugars, Woods, Resins. For years I was reluctant to re-release this formula. This is in fact, a close duplication of my very first Love Potion® recipe, that worked so well, it was absolutely scary. For the final version, I chose to temper it to a "safer" level...adding more ingredients for respectful and cherishing love, rather than pure animal attraction. Eventually I could no longer ignore the multitude of requests to bring this version back. I did so, but still added some tiny notes for gentle sweetness and protection to assuage my conscience. By popular demand, Love Potion®: RED is now a part of our permanent collection. I certainly understand the attraction to the idea of a perfume potion that drives men insensible with lust, but I do not exaggerate when I say that the wearer should absolutely wear this fragrance with caution. I would not, for example, wear this out for a night on the town with the girls. I wouldn't walk alone while wearing it, either. This is best reserved for a night with your own beloved, or the specific person you want to seduce. I relate this to you from personal experience. When I was first creating Love Potion®, I tested each adjustment by wearing it around for a week or more. With the original version of this, I had three very unnerving scary days in a row, where different men stalked me down the street, at my shop, and as I went about my day. Not the kind of guys one dreams of attracting, mind you, but the hungry wolf-ish predator types, that look like they are waiting for the opportune moment to grab you and drag you into an alley. I don't mean to frighten you, but I hope I make my point. This potion is not to be used with a frivolous attitude. I believe my addition of ingredients for gentleness and protection has smoothed some of the dangerous edges off of this potion, but it still tends to inspire a rather extreme sexual response in men, so please wear it with caution. VANILLA ~ Extraordinary aphrodisiac, inspires happiness, playfulness, sexual arousal, lust, and is physically vitalizing, familial sense memories, soothing, nurturing, comforting. AMBER ~ Fertility, luck, riches, sensuality. PATCHOULI ~ Soothes and uplifts, sensual, sexually stimulating, lust, fertility, money. CINNAMON ~ Male sexual stimulation, passion, lust, healing, protection, energy, creativity, psychic powers. DARK SUGARS ~ Attracts love, luck, sweetness, riches, lust inducing. WOODS ~ Enhances perception of beauty, love, sensuality, money, luck, hex-breaking. RESINS ~ Sensual, sexually stimulating, lust, fertility, money. _______________________________________________________ I couldn't find a topic for this, so I get to be the first to review it! This unfortunately has a hint of cough syrup on my skin, it has that really sweet syrup scent I get with all the love potions I've tried, but it has a cinnamony cherry scent that ends up like cough syrup on me. Which is a pity.
  13. I can smell the hints of the buttery, maple syrupy original LP in the vial. As soon as I put it on, I get the maple syrup. But, as it dries down it's heavier with a more resiny backing. It's still very, very sweet and I agree with the sexed up buttercream analysis. At one point I was getting a hint of dirty patchouli, but thankfully it went away.
  14. This is my promised update after wearing this all day. It lasts a really long time, I put it on at 6ish this morning, and it's now 7ish and I can still smell it. The greenish smell fades after a while and goes into an ambery smell. (Bpal O fades similarly on me, I like it.) As to the phermone type effects, everyone was really super nice to me today. ( And I seemed to be in a really good mood, according to many people.) I had people opening doors ( including a guy who is normally sort of a jerk) and offering to do things for me. I only got one overt " you smell gooooood", but it was from a pretty oblivious guy friend. Overall, I think I might get a big bottle of this. ( And it should definitely be added to the permanent collection. For sure.)
  15. I too was very excited to get this as a freebie! In the vial it has that same sort of hint of " love potion" maple syrupy sweet smell. ( I'm assuming this is the honey/oatmeal bit) On my skin I get a more subdued sweet scent combined with a clean soapy sort of scent. I think the soapy scent might be the lily. I'm only getting hints of rose. Very clean and pretty smelling.
  16. Mmmm..this is very sexy, it smelled similar to Phero Girl in the vial, but once I put it on it was much sweeter than Phero girl. It's less of a skin scent, and has a hint of something ambery and very pretty. I like this one a lot.
  17. This smelled extremely buttery in the vial, almost a touch of movie popcorn. Once I put it on it smelled ( and continues to smell) exactly like pancakes. It smells very much like maple syrup. I like it, and am excited about trying the other versions! ( And I was super duper excited that the patchouli didn't show up!!!) It has excellent throw ( not overpowering, but more than I'm used to) and my brother keeps asking me what smells good.
  18. In the vial- This hits something at the back of my sinuses hard. It's heady ambery honey scent in a good way. For the first little bit on my skin it has a hint of honeyed smell, but then it goes a bit more green. Dry it ends up as a slightly honey-y, slightly green scent. It's pretty, but not overtly in your face. I haven't had an opportunity to test the phermone qualities, but I shall tomorrow and will come back to update then.
  19. Weeeeird. However, I find it to be less creepy that buying used underwear. I think vaginal bacteria/ yeast should probably stay there.
  20. Oooo...I love the new rolling pictures, it's a nice display. I'm really excited about trying the Christmas Clove Cookies.
  21. Hello everyone! My name is Jocelyn, but I post under the same handle at the BPAL boards. I haven't tried any of the scents yet, but I'm excited to!
