Lina's I Halloween Lina asked for: "Totally foodie- pumpkin cupcake style. Pumpkin, cream cheese frosting, walnut and brown sugar " I started with buttery pumpkin notes as Lina suggested in her email to me, blended with a few diff kinds of cream cheese and buttercream frosting oils, brown sugar, and drops of walnut and pecan. Super sweet and buttery, like fresh out of the oven! This smells so good! It really does smell like it's fresh out of the oven. And it won't be limited to Halloween- it's totally and completely Fall-Time appropriate. It's not as sweet as I thought it would be- but that's fine! I think it's perfect the way it turned out. Smelling this, I can picture perfectly spiced, hot pumpkin bread with melted butter. I'm not getting much cream cheese action here. It's very bready and spiced pumpkin with a hint of the nuts:) It almost bordered on smelling like gingerbread. Love, love, love!
(Per Mara's description under Private Editions for APRIL 2014) Coconut cream, almond milk, apricot and a dash of cucumber. Wendy's theme was a dense hot summery thickness, with that occasional welcome fresh breeze. It came out great! She's always got very interesting ideas. I don't see a review post for this one yet. I know there aren't any remaining bottles, but regardless, I would love to see reviews from forum members because it is so interesting to see what notes amp differently for everyone. Additionally, reading these helps formulate ideas for newbies like myself who are looking to the future when there is enough *confidence* to pull off our own PE! Since forum etiquette dictates that Wendy should do the first review, I'll wait to leave mine until after she's done hers. Suffice to say (spoiler alert) not a surprise: it.
After a stupendously shitty Friday (I didn't realize "Friday the 13th" was actually a thing!) I came home to two awesome packages. Day: brightened. But as I almost immediately had to leave again for the weekend I didn't get to really play with anything till now. But play we shall! Wet: immediately get the oatmeal cookie dough, I feel like I'm getting a little buttery in a guilty-pleasure mmm-I'm-not-baking-for-health way… After a few minutes on me the chocolate-chips come out a bit more with the vanilla and is fast becoming an ice-cream sandwich on my skin. Temptation to gnaw wrist: Increasing. (Unfortunately my body remained comprised of flesh and bone and not, in fact, dessert.) Maybe it's just my chemistry but I am not yet able to detect the bacon, but it's early yet; we'll see what happens over time. Maybe if I go to the gym and sweat like a pig… So far so love. Thanks, Mara, this is brill! Am I supposed to be able to stop smelling myself, because that's not going to happen. Just holding out hope for a bit more bacon - but really, whoever isn't?
