Question about Hedione

I have read research on this and decided to try the trial from Pherotine. I also had received a sniffie of Mystic Mountain (which I LOVED) that had Hedione in it. I will post my review in the appropriate thread for that. BUT...my question is this...have any of you noticed any specific reactions when wearing a scent that contains hedione? I have read the reviews of scents and how they turned out on people, but didn't know if anyone had tried it to see if it actually created a response similar to a phero. OR if you have noticed that the scents that DO contain hedione have a longer lifespan or greater throw that YOU can tell? Just trying to figure out how to best utilize this. I really am hoping it will increase the throw of the pheros. And I'd love it to have an effect on the target, too, but not sure what to expect since it says it affects women more than men....and not exactly sure in what ways that would be noticeable.

I honestly don't know anything about that - but then again I haven't worn it a lot. What I like about hedione is I think it lends a beautiful sparkle to the scents I've tried it in, and it does impart a lovely jasmine aura in some cases (as example, I really don't register the hedione in Sable Vert as jasmine specifically). I'm not the best person to discuss phero effects from others anyway because I rarely get that kind of attention from people anymore.

I've worn Hedione by itself as well as in scents like H2OOO (Love that scent) and the best way I can describe it's reaction as I've noticed it is to say that it functions in a similar fashion to a social pheromone such as alpha-androstenol or a low dose of pregnenelone. It seems to enhance any good mood a person is in and bring a bit of attention to the wearer. Just my 2 cents from my experience.

Thanks for the input. I have tried adding it to a few scents (on my body, not in the bottles) and I do think it increases the throw a little. But hard to say. I am still experimenting with all of this but if I could get a better throw with the oils, I'd love that. I will keep testing it. I was worried it would change the scents, but so far, it hasn't. I want to be able to reach further with the pheros and the scents without utilizing the spray because they don't seem to last long for me.

Hedione is a 'signature scent' that activates the portion of a womans brain in the limbic system, which is associated with emotions, memory and drive. It activated a specific area of the hypothalamus in women more strongly then in men. The activation pattern is typical for sexual hormone release. It turns women on.. It was able to buffer strong sexual mixes and take off their harder edge similar to Alpha Androstenol or something like Androstadienone or EST. In this part it is more neutral in its effects gender wise. I found it raised mood in everyone which is great for all but fallout inducing blends. Chris of AD said it lowered inhibitions but I did not see that yet. It seems to work best for me applied to separate app points (75% alcohol/25% hedione works for me) instead of mixed directly into the blend in some cases. There is some diffusion enhancement as well.

 

If you are just trying to increase the diffusion throw to hit all those sexy guys like me around you, here are a few options: You can try adding some AJA as I found while testing it and Sheer Essence that the Aja enhanced the diffusion range quite a bit, potentially 10 feet. Aja has a dirty honey type scent and is strong so it isnt going to go with everything that already has a scent and of course has its own attraction properties. Another option that is much more likely to blend is to use Sylvamber or IsoESuper, which both contain a scent that women love (sandalwood/cedar/velvety/smoke-like fragrance - molecule 1 is made from this) , blends well with most scents, and will greatly extend the diffusion range as well as the longevity of the scent. At times it also extends the diffusion and longevity of the pheromone molecules at the same time (I'm currently playing with it and Oxytocin as that is a very heavy molecule). I'm finding ISOE can act as a bridge to help molecules work better together as well as some light buffering properties like a social.

 

C16H260 by Cinnis Labs on Etsy is 35% ISOESUPER in alcohol ready for use to layer over other things you apply separately and is cheap, or they also have the ISOESUPER Super Oil concentrate you can add drops to your mixes directly, such as using 5-10 drops per 10ml to start or 1ml per 10ml etc.... Stick to under 40 drops per 10ml or 35% or you may find the mix may get too thick to squirt like a spray.

 

PS - I suggest Mara should sell 75% Alcohol/25% Hedione so people can layer it, it does work well.
