The woods, as they say, are lovely, dark and deep upon the realm
they call the Dark Side.
Anyone should be wary to roam within that tangle
of sylvan limbs like grasping arms
paths leading onward to mystery and potentially lethal
charms.
But his scent calls to me from somewhere within
amber light of seductive eyes glinting in moonlight and the sound
of his mocking laughter when I demurred
spurning the villain, the wicked rogue
and his teeth were tantalizingly white as he smiled
we seek the euphoria within the fright
to prove we are alive.
He says, “Be careful what you desire
for it will surely appear at your door,”
and I have shunned that hungry growling beast called Lust
as if I could not relinquish my caution
could not trust
myself
not to succumb
offer my throat
not to turn wild as he, dark-haired amber-eyed wolf
who longs to show me
what it means to be free.

 

A swift-seller upon its’ debut in May 2007, Mara described her inspiration:

“I created this potion after receiving numerous requests from men for a Vanilla-based fragrance that smelled as delicious and lust inducing on men as my Love Potion®, LP:RED and LP:BLACK smell on women. Ok, boys, you win, here it is! Expect to be devoured, mrrrrow!!”
