He pressed on through the forest, into the cathedral of green which never failed to draw him ever onward, for his livelihood depended upon it. Save the chattering of birds overhead all was quiet, even as he strained to hear the slightest sound which meant prey might be nearby. Moments passed, and then he could hear laughter which sounded like tiny bells carried on the breeze…and a whiff of lust. The Fae, they were mischievous and beautiful and hungry. He knew himself handsome to their eyes and was wary when their enchantment filled the air with golden shimmer and playful teasing. He saw her, an exquisite nymph, observing him from above in a pine tree. She giggled to see his wide-eyed wondrous stare, blinked slow with her seductive dark eyes and sang him a song to keep him there as she crawled down the tree. Oh fair hunter who ventures within my realm thou art so brave and strong can you catch me quick as you trap your prey? And he was surprised…normally the nymphs were the ones who did the hunting, luring anyone who came along to be their partners in pleasure. But she moved up the path and it was more than instinct which caused him to give chase, her mocking laughter and beautiful body spurring him deeper into the forest, flushing with the passion they would share when he caught her.
