Archive: Brigid's Amber

Brigid, keeper of the flame, is also the guardian of the apple: a fruit that was considered extremely valuable as it was one of the few which flourished in the Irish climate. Damage to the trees or theft of the fruit carried a heavy penalty and the cultivation of apples was highly encouraged according to law.

Our scented tribute to one of the most beloved figures of Gaelic mythology incorporates ingredients sacred to Brigid as well as inspired by the "Apple Amber" of Irish cuisine. This is an Amber fit for a goddess: beautifully rich with a tinge of citrus, enhanced with touches of apple and apple pie spices, thickened with lemon creme and chestnut, and finished with decadent brown sugar and patchouli.
