Porter is a dark stout famous in Ireland, and gives this recipe its distinctive flavor. It's no wonder this confection's popularity has spread worldwide! Get your Irish on with our interpretation of the famed St. Patrick's Day dessert: two beer accords (One for each hand!) are folded into brown sugar, vanilla, milk and cream, then seasoned with ginger, cinnamon and other dessert spices, and studded with dried candied fruits (lemon, orange, berries and plums) as a scrumptious finishing touch...you'll be the delicious life of any party (and save yourself the hangover)!
