The Southern Belle sits on the veranda listening to the crickets and cicadas, breathing in the heady mixture of Gardenia and Magnolia that waft in on the breeze. Her nose inhales the smooth aroma of Freshly Crushed Spearmint Leaves in her glass of cool Iced Tea. The Zinnias and Hyacinths are in full bloom, but what's that scent lurking behind them like a thief in the shadows? It's barely a whisper of Musk, just enough to notice but where does it come from? Perhaps from a dashing scoundrel come to pay the virtuous mayor's daughter a scandalous visit, hoping that the thick humid air has lowered her inhibitions and ripened her for the honeyed words dripping off his rogue's tongue.
