In our tradition of Thinking Pink for the holidays, we present a pinkalicious take on gingerbread: a scrumptious trio of gingerbread oils blended with rich butter and cake-like vanilla, given the sparkle of a fairy’s blessing of magical pink sugars, and slathered with thick rich buttercream. But to protect you against the ravenous cravings which will erupt when the world gets a whiff, we’ve made this perfectly perfumed with a base of gooey sweet amber.

GINGER ~ Fiery and fortifying, induces passion. Intensifies love spells and success spells. Love, money, success, power. Ginger increases sensitivity in the erogenous zones.
PINK BERRY SUGAR ~ Attracts love, luck, sweetness and riches. Lust inducing, wishes granted.
BUTTER/CREAM ~ Nurturing, soothing, eases troubled relationships. Goddess energy.
AMBER ~ Fertility, creativity, love, luck, riches.

In those wild places where the veil between the magical and the mundane is gossamer-thin, it is not unusual for mortal souls to cross the borders into the Fae realm for Yule, bespelled by all manner of sweetness which can drive man and woman mad with desire. The Fae love to celebrate - especially to observe the final crossing of Darkest Winter, to finally leave the cold behind for warmer, lighter realms - and their shops and alehouses are filled with delicacies and crowded with those who enjoy them, human and fairy alike. One such particular treat which has made its way into our world is the Pink Elf, a type of gingerbread cookie. It takes the form of the familiar gingerbread man or woman, but if you look closely you can spy a pointed ear and an exotic face, and it sparkles and shines with that special sugary glow which all of the Fae project so effortlessly. The flavor is that familiar spicy-sweet goodness but with first bite for a moment all the world has a decidedly pinkish cast to it, glittering with wonder, as if you had become fairy yourself. But as with all Fae gifts, there is a price for this pleasure: once you’ve tasted a Pink Elf, you can never eat just one, and your cravings will haunt you always….
