johnsonlisa90012
Love, love, love this. I didn’t order this in FB but after smelling my sample, I made an emergency order. It’s spicy, it’s got some creaminess from the oats. But the Elderberry and Alcohol (one or the other) gives it this punch of brightness. Wowzer. I freakin’ love this. The fact that the magical meanings are exactly what I need right now (good luck for a new job opp)...that’s just a bonus. This doesn’t smell like a perfume...it smells like you are inside the best smelling kitchen or candle and you just radiate the smell. It’s awesome.
Black Cat
It's crazy because I'm not sure there's any overlap in ingredients but this reminds me so much of my beloved Prophetic Pie! It's got the same buttery bakery yumminess with a bright sparkle and it has the same mood lightening effect. I wasn't expecting to want a bottle, especially since I have so much that my standards for bottle buying are much higher. But other than Prophetic Pie, which I think I've almost finished by supply of, I have nothing else like this. So bottle ordered. I've already almost emptied the sample! luna65
This one is incredibly yummy and I can totally understand why it's an instantaneous fan favorite. The oatmeal stout is, in this scent, more of a gourmand note than an alky one (like it is in Bad Elf, for example) so to me this ends up smelling more like Gimme Money rather than a relative of something like Nip of Autumn. Spicy, sweet, kind of cake-y/bread-y with a cheery fruitiness (like jlisa and Black Cat have pointed out) - it's sooooo goooood. Compulsively sniffable and total Fall coziness. DAT ELDERBERRY THO - the more it comes out in the drydown, loving it!
SirenSong
Well, I thought this would be good. Smells good in the bottle, smells good on my shirt, but, my skin? Not so much. I have real problems with the fermented alcohols note—turns nasty on my skin. Nip Of Autumn does the same for me; I almost smell like natural gas. There was one recent scent with that same note in it that I didn’t have an issue with, but I don’t remember which one it was. It really is the combo and they are all different. But usually this is a disagreeable note for me. It also reminds me of some spicy Christmas Yankee Candle scent I can’t recall. Later I did get the creamy dry down, but getting to that point was not pleasant and I tired of it. Definitely sample this one first if you have issues with the fermented alcohols note like I do. bliss3
This one smells thickkk. I'm definitely getting the stout feel from this one. Once it's dried down a bit, the elderberry comes out and combines with the oats and cloves to make a really nice fall fruity scent.
greenappletart
I get the alcohol and the carb-iness of the oats. That sort of carb/starch note reminds me of Warm and Toassty, and even a bit of Nekomusume, but it is fresher than either of those thanks to the other notes. There's something I'm reading as almost anise-like, but I'm not sure what it is. At first, the elements seem sort of disparate, but once the clove comes out, it's starts to bring the scent together more. It's intriguing, but not enough of a me scent that I want to wear it all day, so no full bottle. It's a good example of how a fragrance can very much have a personality and a voice of its own, though.
NuTrix
@bliss3 You got me with that stout comment! Shucks...a bottle just fell into my cart.... Really though, you all make this sound right up my alley and I'm splurging on myself with a Christmas order ❤️
NuTrix
Mmmmmm! This jumps out all fermented, fruity, sweet alcohols on me. I mean syrupy sweet, and I LOVE it. Then inncomes the creamy, oaty goodness floating over spices. It doesn't lose the sweetness in the dry down and I love the creamy feel it has. I am such a sucker for those oat and oatmeal notes. @luna65 oatmeal stout you say? Adding to my list of ingredient loves...
bliss3
@NuTrix so it was as good as I made it sound, I hope? This one was a surprise love for me; I bought it on impulse and ended up really liking it.
