Eastwood22
I feel a little silly to be first person posting in this thread, but it is the first one I’m wearing solo (without other scents on my body.) It is an odd choice for my first grab of the new releases, as I was not a fan of Bonflower, just because I’m not a huge wearer of floral perfumes. I do like the concept of a smoky floral, though, and I loved the carnation in Velours Frais, so I’m giving it a spin. After drydown, I find it both cheerful and mysterious, the bright flowers and the “where’s that coming from” fall smoke. It’s only been a half hour, so we’ll see how it changes on me, but it’s very pretty!
oceanjewel
Wet I get mostly carnation at first, very similar to the carnation in Velour Frais. As it dries its morphing into something that reminds me of the scent of faintly lingering smoke from last nights bonfire in the woods on skin with just a smidge of floral remaining. Another FB for me.
Eve
My initial impression was distinct chrysanthemum when I first applied it. I didn’t smell any carnation really, and I love the scent of fresh carnations. I’m going to give it a little while later to rest, and try it again. I like the smokiness, it is very much like an autumn flower bouquet. I get that impression of having raked a pile of dry rustling leaves. This is very fall like, and a departure from gourmand spices we associate with autumn. It’s not a “me” type scent, but I don’t dislike it, I was hoping for more carnation though. I’ll revisit it later on. Adding that the oak made an appearance after a while, it gives it a more complex quality, and I liked it better after I had it on for a while. I meant to state this in my review above.
luna65
This is so interesting to me because it's far less smoky (for me) than the original, but I do get the Autumnal mood. The floral aspect comes out immediately to my nose, and then begins to settle back into the overall vibe after a few minutes. The woody notes are quite nice and complimentary. There's a bit of what I think of as the natural spicy quality to the blend. And much like the original it is quite full-bodied and layered, which the black musk attar helps to amplify. I would say for anyone who thought that the original was maybe too smoky, they would want to give this version a try.
Beccah
My skin decided to amp the Oakmoss in this to 11 and I smell like a dryer sheet. Like, an expensive one, but that is where my skin took this. I still like it but probably won't put it on my full bottle list.

I personally can't get over this one but to be far I'm not sure if I've actually wore it OR just smelt the HELL outta it I could totally see that happening on the right (wrong) person!
