Snoozle w/Savage Beast

First time I tried it was straight out of the shipping box when the new releases arrived.  It reminded me a lot of Velvet Kisses.  Not so much now.  Which is actually good for me, because as much as I tried to get Velvet Kisses to work for me, it was just too sweet 🙁.  
 

Snoozle has now had a few days to rest, and it it distinctly different than my first impressions of it were. 

All the notes are there, although not particularly creamy, which is a good thing in my case.  It is definitely not as sweet as I first thought, and I’m super happy I went with a fb.  I plan to get more for backup.  
 

PS

Even though this is listed under the mens pheromone fragrances, for me it wears on  feminine side of unisex.

This is good news for me, Velvet Kisses was great in the bottle but not on my skin. I love me some Savage Beast so I’m hoping it turns out perfect on me!

Having smelled this, I will say it immediately reminded me of Moondust Cocoa.

I am over the moon that I can wear this, AND that I respond to the calming ingredients in it.  Is it the pheromones? 

 

Other than DHEAS and the very sexual ones,  I don’t have noticeable selfies from pheros.  And, the fragrance for the original Savage Beast didn’t work for me.  (Although, that might be a scent association thing because I received it around the same time as I lost my beloved dog.). 

 

Regardless, two nights running, I’ve worn Snoozle to bed, and slept incredibly well.  I’m not a good sleeper.  I could be the president of the “Get Less than Four”  sleep club, if there was a club for that.

 

Snoozle smells fantastic.  I’m hoping Mara will add it to the permanent collection. She definitely makes magic!

Being a fan of Mara's hot cocoa scents (I have three others, to the best of my recollection at the moment) I was very excited for this, as well as wanting a scent with Savage Beast for bedtime.  As I noted above, this reminds me of Moondust Cocoa, it's powdery-soft and starts off sugary and then the chocolate aspect is a bit more dark than I expected (I think that's where the "not too sweet" aspect comes into play) but it's a nice weight for bedtime.  It's not overpowering but you can definitely get a lovely whiff of yourself up close.  Savage Beast works really well for me for sleep, about as good as Teddy BB or Balm Bomb.

Oh wow, this is rich. Huffably good, or at least right out of the vial. Getting the Moondust Cocoa vibe, slightly less powdery on me than that was. I love Savage Beast, I hope it helps my daughter drift off to sleep tonight.

We already have so many awesome reviews but my impression is just odd enough I wanted to document it.

Background:

I have the same reaction to this phero as Luna, it calms me immensely but I wasn't a fan of the scent that went with the previous release so I didn't wear this more than twice.

Today:

Just arrived in the mail, forget travel shock, tore into this, two 2 inch stripes down the sides of my throat over the carotid arteries. Before my brain can even register what the scent is, I am transported smackdab into the movie set of "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" (based on the book by C. S. Lewis) and I am smelling the wood in the wardrobe, the fur of the lion, I hear his voice and I feel very comforted. This association is *extremely* unusual for me as I neither cherished the books, did enjoy the movie but not more than other people, am not Christian these days or really any other reason that makes sense to me. I also did not grow up with the books. Only thing I can think of is the illustration on the lightly scented Savage Beast label is a young woman sitting on a lion. Whatever created the association will now be a cherished part of my experiences with LPMP. Scent goes so deep for me - my inner child will likely grab for this again and again now for that comfort  I felt. A heartfelt thank you for this creation.

Snoozle is simply delicious! I love all of Mara's chocolate scents and am really enjoying the richness of this one with the marshmallow, vanilla, and cream. It reminds me a lot of Breath if Nirvana, just without the mint. It's like my brain thinks it's there because something about the chocolate mix seems congruent. I'm wearing this again for bed tonight as I find it soothing, especially after a busy work week.

I know I should let my bottle rest, but really can't. I really like this one, however I don't get any chocolate, it's all marshmallow root and vanilla, so to me it is pretty similar to Sogni Incantati, which I love. Hoping to get a bit more chocolate after the travel shock's gone.

The chocolate seems to be of a darker type - at least to me - so it may not read as such to your nose, at least not immediately.

It's difficult for me to remember that she has only been here for a few months. I think she is still trying to settle in with us. Each of the humans have a different attitude toward her, she knows and uses this to her advantage. For instance I am a sucker when it comes to meows and I give her a treat. My son thinks this is horrible and that it spoils her. I have also cut back on giving her wet food, because my son wants her to stick to dry and he believes that I am overfeeding her.  Yes, everyone gets fat here! 

 

Sometimes she wants to be with people and she looks for someone. However, she does like to chill and nap by herself. She does come to the door when I get home..... (she doesn't do that for everyone - not mentioning any names). She does not like me to pick her up. She does let my son pick her up and carry her. 

 

She ON PURPOSE does naughty things! Her favorite naughty thing is to go behind the television set or go under the desk - this upsets me, there are too many wires. She knows I get upset and yet she will do it 3 or 4 times in one setting!!!!!! That is on purpose!! And she purposely gets my attention before she sneaks in there!!

 

She also likes to try to sneak into the basement. She has snuck down while I'm trying to get the laundry baskets up and she has been locked there alone several times! It's dark and cold, once when we had been out, when we returned we looked for her. Her paw was sticking out under the door. I found this distressing as she had been down there for about 4 hours. But she tried to get down there again !!!!

 

I am not sure about play. She seems to be very fussy when it comes to play. She often has no interest in toys but does like  to play with things that are NOT toys? She just looks at the toys walks away then spends time playing with a pencil.

 

She likes to sit next to my cases of LPMP.  I keep them under the bed and she likes to go under there and sit next to the boxes. Go figure

For me the cocoa stands out above the other layers of this when I wear it. I do find it calming and great for evening/bedtime wear, but I don't find it sedating. The scent is nice and comforting. However more recently I've tried the balm bomb from my wife's sampler pack and that stuff puts me out to the point that I actually dream which only happens once or twice a year typically.

This one is so good! I wore it last night. Lovely cocoa smell, so cozy. This will be perfect for cold autumn nights 

 

In the morning I could still smell it, but cocoa was in the back, and vanilla was the star of the show. I really like this one.

So happy that my cat made buy a bottle! It’s like walking into a room filled with dry cocoa powder and the powder puffs up as you walk around the room The phero relaxes me, but not like how B2.2 knocks me out. And my cat absolutely adores me and insists on snuggling when I wear it.

It’s a bowl full of cocoa pops! Loving the phero effect, I must try it again to see if it was coincidence that I felt really calm.

It smells too yummy to sleep for me. Tested it for sleep and it made me think of a vanilla ice cream covered with chocolate and peanut/nut pieces. There are no peanuts in the description, but I could almost taste the crunchiness of the nuts on my teeth. Made me want to do groceries first time in the morning
