This is interesting - I like the violet note but it does take on a different context within the other notes.  It's complex, nothing is really standing out for me other than the violet - it's a seamless background of depth and a bit of soapiness (for some reason, maybe just my chemistry).  Definitely unisex because of its' complexity, I would say.  It's not heavy, though, so it could work for day or night.  However, there's something in it - for ME - which doesn't quite work, it could be the dragon's blood, as historically my skin chemistry has had beef.  It's, like, "Nah."

BUT - dudes, especially, give this a try because it's very classy and versatile.

So I’m not big on florals, but received a tester of this and see there wasn’t many reviews. Honestly if you like florals or violet in particular and are a woman I wouldn’t be afraid of this being unisex. It wasn’t overly strong. I’m mainly getting the violet also, no soapiness though. It was a well blended floral on me with violet being what I smell. I couldn’t detect the patchouli or stronger notes at all.
