ROSE ~ Self confidence, strong aphrodisiac properties, attracts affection & love, fertility, divination/clairvoyance.

COFFEE ~ Focus, stamina, concentration, determination.

CHOCOLATE/COCOA ~ Lightens emotions, evokes feelings of love.

MYRRH ~ Stimulating, soothing. Powerful guard against evil.

OUD (Agarwood) ~ Love, aphrodisia, spirituality, health.

HONEY ~ Enticing, seductive; use to bewitch a straying or hesitant lover. Happiness, fulfillment.

Mara's ingredient list:  Rose attar, Rose Otto, Black Coffee, Bittersweet Chocolate, Chocolate Fudge, Black Myrrh, Oud, Honey drop.

Here is my email to Mara for this one:

This is the closest to a rebrew I'm asking for, but I absolutely don't expect the same scent.  But I'm longing for a dark love potion with these same notes I've had before.  Not the pink effervescent limerence of youth, but a dark gorgeous potion for the crone love, for knowing who you are and what you are worth and being able to find a perfectly imperfect partner who knows himself and what he is worth who is willing to risk a last adventure, with all the scars and strengths and lessons learned grabbing for a last chance at wild joy in the teeth of mortality.  But no pressure!  😁

Rose attar
Darkest blackest coffee
Deepest darkest chocolate
Myrrh

A deep velvet darkness. Sky under the new moon, something rich and haunting and mysterious, stirring.  Subtle and wildly alluring

Last time out we called it Inviting Aphrodite.  I'll leave it to you if that feels like the best fit, or if once you have it something else feels better -- I trust your instincts.

(Narrator's voice): Mara did indeed have something better!

Once again, I'll update this when I have bottles on Saturday.  Can't wait!

This one is almost leaving me speechless.  It's haunting, mysterious but also ripe and luscious.  A gorgeous non foody chocolate rose of the deepest swirling darkness.  I was a teensy bit worried the honey would make it too sweet but it's just perfect. I was also a little worried the oud might take over but nope. Just gorgeous.  A love potion for the ages.

This feels mythic and archetypal but also enormously accessible. I'll wear it for myself but I would feel very comfortable wearing around others

And I also wanted to say how spectacular the label is!  I absolutely adore the style Mara uses for all my labels and when you look closely at the beautiful woman on this one I can see marks of age and I just love it.  The style of the art makes me think of the Phryne Fisher books by Kerry Greenwood and I love that vibe.

I may need two extra bottles of this. Unlike the other two I want to start wearing it right away, I am hard pressed to imagine it being more devastatingly perfect than it is now but I generally do find Mara's creations get better and better so maybe!

This sounds really gorgeous and I really wanted to try it but had to cut my list of PEs down. I think I've also shied away from the chocolate and coffee combo since my skin chemistry rejected Earth and Urn. But I'm thinking it was the tobacco in it or the combo of tobacco with the other notes. I love the description of this PE though. Anything dark and mysterious is intriguing to me. I think the potential for more depth and transformation of these types are very satisfying to me too. Hopefully I'll have a chance to snag a bottle later. Looking forward to more reviews on this one!

@Black Cat, I will have to grab a bottle of this next month, your review leaves me mad at myself that I did not go thru with my original desire to purchase this because of being nervous of the chocolate, as that goes wonky on my skin.

This is absolute perfection! I just received it yesterday and couldn't resist trying it this morning. And, I cannot agree more with how well all these age, so this is only going to get better than perfect. It's dark and mysterious. The rose, chocolate, and coffee go so well together, with a lovely slightly smokey base of oud. The mryyh is blended in so well. And that subtle kiss of honey? Oh, it's so good!!!

I needed to add that this is the perfume that I didn't know I needed in my life. It's seriously so amazing. I'm already considering another order so I can grab another bottle of this.

Oh it's so fun to read someone else living on this as much as I do!  Yay, Tink, so glad you're enjoying.

I was restrained and only ordered one extra bottle but my memory is went through the first of version of this faster than anything else I've ever ordered.  In many ways this quite similar to the first version but there's something about Enticing that is just ... MORE.  The vibe for the first was a bit quieter, maybe? And this isn't loud at all but it's just... there's a juiciness to it which is a bit surprising to me in something so smooth and dark and elegant.

@Black Cat, it has this quiet confidence and knowing that Inviting Aphrodite only hinted at, almost like it's the wiser sage version.

FYI, I love Aphrodite. I have a Venus statue that sits on a shelf by my desk. I adorn her with bracelets. I also have a Birth of Venus shirt that I wear often. I love Aphrodite/Venus. ❤️
