Tink's Lampolo Heart ❤️ 

Tink's loving tribute to the best kitty ever, (aside from mine), was described like so:

"Strawberry: symbolizing the heart and Lampolo's sweetness.

Tonka: for Lampolo's courage and spicy edge, but also the regalness he had.

Sandalwood: symbolizing the lion and the dry and hot Serengeti.

And maybe a very tiny lick of musk, that soft deep musk cats have.

I want this to be more of an adult Strawberry perfume, one that is bordering the unisex line, but still leaning feminine."

Ingredients: Strawberry, Tonka and a touch of velvety Vanilla, Sandalwood, Fuzzy Musk, Civet Musk (synth)

Well, I definitely messed up where I wanted the label picture to go! I have no idea how to edit it. 

 

Anyway, I was going to add more information about this PE. This is some more information from the email that I sent to Mara. 

 

This is Lampolo. He was so BEAUTIFUL. He was regal, and I often called him Prince Lampolo. He had a heart and soul of a lion and was so brave and confident. He was named after a video game character 😂. I am not a gamer but my partner is. The game was called Gladius and Lampolo was a centurian fighter who said this silly phrase "Back in the frey!" and it made me laugh. When we got Lampolo, it just seemed to fit him. 

He was my familiar, closest companion, shadow, my heart. He was also so incredibly sweet. He was often cuddling with me or next to me. He slept by my head every single night until he was older. When he was older, he slept with his head on my left arm, and the rest of him nestled underneath the blankets, every single night. The last couple of years, he had kidney disease and they were failing. Every chance he got, he would lay on my chest directly on my heart, every single day. I miss him so very much. I got a tattoo in honor of him. It's of a lion and a paw print in triangles representing "as above so below".

I feel this same way about my cat, I always had cats (and dogs) but thought I was more of a dog person until I adopted Baymax and he turned out to be my literal soul mate! I know you still probably feel him with you but I hope this blend brings you all the peace he did.

Oh Tink, I teared up reading your description of your beloved Lampolo! The sleeping cuddled up under the covers....the most amazing feeling in the world.  I'm so sorry for your loss, I know how devastating it is. I hope your PE ends up being a comfort.  I am so honored to be getting a bottle. 🐈‍⬛ ❤️

Okay, so I've let this rest a few days and I'm wearing it right now. 

I've had it on for about an hour or so. 

When I first put it on, it is musk and sandalwood forward but with the strawberry adding this sweetness that is unexpected with the other two scents. (I say that because I've never smelled anything like this before.) It very quickly turns into this deeper, spicy musk. (Listen. It's been a bit since I've reviewed a perfume so I'ma little rusty here.) It's so fascinating because I get the strawberry but it's subtle. It's like this spicy strawberry with a hint of vanilla musk. It's fuzzy and cozy. 

I'll update more about it later after wearing it for longer periods of time.  

Overall, it's pretty amazing and it warms my heart. To me, it's a complex and unique spicy musk. It feels full of love and confidence. It's so much more beautiful and amazing than I ever could have imagined. I just want to sniff my arms all night now. ❤️

Ahhhh I've been waiting for this to settle so I could review.  First off, what a unique set of notes!  I love strawberry scents but I've never encountered such a non-foodie take.  This goes on with a gorgeous splash of strawberry, wonderfully natural and not too sweet.  Then as the strawberry mellows that amazing base of tonka, sandalwood and musk just blooms. I would never in a million years have envisioned adding strawberry to this base but it works. It's smooth but full of subtle little currents -- sweet and animalic by turns. Just absolutely fabulous.
