Onyx
"Thick and rich and densely fragranced, these go on silky smooth and have a night cream style of consistency, so you might have to blot off extra oil if you are a youngster and wearing them during the day. They leave your skin so hydrated and fabulously scented - the scent lasts for hours and hours!" Ingredients: Soy Butter, Apricot Kernel Oil, Fragrance, Food Color. (8 fl.oz. per jar.) Onyx
This was one of the products I used when I got my package on Wednesday! I really wanted to see how it does as my second layer of face cream since I'm almost out of my first Olive & Apricot Cream jar. (Honestly, you could say it's out but there's a tiiiiiny bit left that I think I could still use for a few nights since it goes a long way lol.) I was excited to try this scent. I was torn on which scent to get, but decided on the Lavender Crème Brûlée one (hence the picture I included). Oh my goodness, this is so delicious! I think it's the crème brûlée working really hard here and the lavender is there to give it a touch of something different. 🍮🪻 It really smells good enough to eat! It reminds me of a sweet I've had at or associate with a carnival but I can't recall the exact one. The consistency is definitely different from Olive & Apricot Cream. That one was thinner and goes on smoother but goes a long way. This lavish cream is definitely thicker. I agree with the description that it has a night cream-style consistency. It also feels a bit like it has a whipped consistency. The first night I put it on, I used too much that my face was oily lol. I wasn't used to the consistency yet cause I was used to how the Olive & Apricot Cream spread very easily. I also really liked the scent so I slathered it on. I figured I can just wash it off my face the next day if I wake up looking very greasy. Well, I don't know if my face just absorbed it or it rubbed it off on my pillow (or both lol) but my face was fine in the morning. I also felt normal (didn't feel dry or greasy) so I think it did have a similar moisturizing effect as the Olive & Apricot Cream. Last night, I used a more moderate amount and applied it on my damp face which helped spread it more easily. Comparing the scents though, this one is more heavily scented. The Olive & Apricot cream smelled neutral to me. This one definitely has a distinct scent of its own. I put on a fresh shirt and the scent is already on my collar area. I was confused about how a scent might have gotten there since I test fragrances on my arms, but then I remembered my face went through it and that's how the scent transferred. I do like the scent though and I like how it seems to linger, so it works for me. I'll do testing on my hands and maybe the rest of my body at some point and come back to report, but I already recommend this to those who would like a thick, yummy-smelling cream!
