FIG ~ Wisdom, fertility, love, luck, protection, aids restful sleep, divination. Feminine sexuality. MUSK ~ Self confidence and strength, sexual attractant, heightens passions and arousal. ALLSPICE ~ Luck, health, prosperity, money.
pheroserenade Posted October 29 Posted October 29 Has anyone tried this and can review it yet? I have it and have tried it every day for the last few days, but I'm a bit puzzled by it. It's lovely in the vial. I get a lot of the powdery cocoa and pumpkin while it's wet. I'm getting the fig and maybe a bit of the currant as well, but I'm not too sure. The dry down leaves a light cocoa and spice scent. This lighter scent lasts for hours on me. But every other day I put this on, it goes completely wonky on my skin. Also, if I reapply it in the same spot. I think it might be the pumpkin mixed with the cocoa and musk for me. Or maybe I'm just noticing another layer each time I apply it. I want so badly for this to work and would love both a fb and spray, but my skin chemistry won't let me be great. I'm not sure how much a scent will age in the vial, as opposed to the glass bottle, but I'll put this away and try again in a couple weeks. Hopefully I'll still have a chance to purchase a fb.
raydee8_love Posted November 5 Posted November 5 I’m getting a chocolate-ty wine really nice but too sexy for the office
LexiJo Posted November 9 Posted November 9 This one reminds me a LOT of Cougar Panther. I think it is the (on me) WHAM...CURRANT! Currant takes over totally on my skin. I am not a fan, and although I adore the label, this is the one I enjoy the least of the Weenies this year. I will put it away for a while and want to try again. I also want to compare this side by side with Cougar Panther.
pheroserenade Posted November 9 Posted November 9 @LexiJo hmmm you got me thinking. Maybe its the combo of chocolate and currant that's going wonky me. I didn't even consider it could be the currant before. It turns to baby poo on my skin. I love it in the vial though. I'm hoping aging will make this wearable for me, but we'll see. You win some, lose some. I'm learning a lot in the process.
luna65 Posted November 10 Author Posted November 10 This does remind me somewhat of Love at First Bite. The cocoa powder does not read sweet on me at all, it just has a particular quality. There's an interesting contrast between powderyness and a sort of "wet" intensity of the fruit notes. The musk is also doing something but I'm not sure it works with my chemistry.
tink333 Posted November 23 Posted November 23 I got a trial of this because of the label. I love this label so much! I'll be honest, I only got trial because I was skeptical of this because I don't always love pumpkin scents and musks can sometimes go all wonky with my skin chemistry. I am so pleasantly surprised by this! I love it! When I first applied it, the cocoa was the most prevalent note with an undercurrent of musk. It quickly morphed and the current and fig became a bit stronger because it became a bit brighter. Now it's this soft well blended musk scent. Everything is blended so well together. To me, it's fancy, like a rich lady perfume, but with this undercurrent base that's darker because of the cocoa and pumpkin. It reminds me a lot of another older LP perfume that I cannot for the life of me remember the name. It was a fig musk type of perfume and I LOVED IT. The description said something about smelling like the fur coat area of a department store. (I only ever had a sample of it.) To me, it is similar to that, but with a dark edge. I love this! I'll be needing a FB of this one too.
luna65 Posted November 24 Author Posted November 24 You're thinking of the original version of Luxurious.

Onyx Posted yesterday at 02:45 AM Posted yesterday at 02:45 AM Your exchange @luna65 and @tink333 in this thread has me picking up a trial of both Luxurious and Ethereal Darkness 🦇. Even though the original Luxurious is no longer available and I wasn't interested in this one initially, I'm really curious now.
