NuTrix
Mmmm! Just put on a touch of OC Black and I love how chewy it goes on and how rich it smells AND the staying power it has...I'm looking at the notes in this and in Decadent Diva...and I'm wondering if they will have any similarity and how the addition of a sandalwood note might change it... StoremyWhether
I didn't even think of OCCO Black when I ordered Decadent Diva but looking at the notes, you're right! donsie
I can't technically review Occo Blue because I got it as a very kind pay-it-forward gift from another user (thanks Storemy!) rather than from LP directly. But, I'll think I can ask my question: am a total weirdo for liking the smell of cops, at least in Occo Blue?
NuTrix
I don't think it odd at all It's my belief that something carefully and skillfully crafted can work what might otherwise be an odd note (cops) into something genuinely enjoyable...like OC Blue

StoremyWhether
Donsie, I think there are plenty of others that don't mind the smell of cops. I've kind of liked it myself! There's only been once or twice when I first started that I got the nasty sort of smell that others talk of and that was because I inadvertently got some on my shirt. When you smell on your clothing a few hours after application, I can see why it's important to let it dry down!! It does give off a scent that makes you want to move slowly in a windless room. It's not for everyone as the diversity of reviews here go to show but you are certainly no weirdo for liking the smell! Â RE Blue, I've got both NOCO and OCCO Blue and on me, although the cops itself blends in to obscurity, I still get a faint "twang" that changes the scent just the slightest bit and personally, I actually like that more! donsie
There's no reason you can't review it! I thought I read somewhere that swaps and other things that don't come directly from LPMP weren't supposed to be reviewed in the normal review threads, but it's entirely possible that I imagined this! Oops! If that's wrong then I shall have to do a proper review later this week. Edited January 20, 2014 by donsie

I knew Dolly and some other folks had written that they the didn't mind them; I would go so far as to say they actively smell pleasant to me. I guess I just like funk. This explains why I like smelling my cats (fur only, nothing dodgy!). Or was that ? Â I don't want to waste any Occo or ruin a tea towel, but I am *sorely* tempted to try seeing what cops smell like on fabric after a few hours. For science! Â Â Ugh, sorry. StoremyWhether
If it helps any Donsie, I didn't have to burn any clothing because of the smell. LOL I just threw it in the washer and it came out just fine. You'd probably have to worry more about clothing such as coats/jackets/etc. that aren't or can't be washed on a regular basis. I wouldn't suggest putting a shirt, let alone a jacket, on before letting the cops dry down!!!

bruiseviolet
OCCO pink is my favorite! It starts off very girly like pink cotton candy and lemonade. As it dries, it softens and smells more elegant. The lemon burns off and the amber comes out more. It's a soft pink amber scent that stays close to my skin and is so pretty. It's a talent to be able to sniff out dog disease; usually it's the other way around and it's dogs who do the sniffing out of human illness. Â I had a boyfriend who loved to smell his dog's paws. He said they smelled warm and fuzzy. And I had another boyfriend who said my hair actually has ginger in it (I often grumble that I don't think I have red hair like my siblings) because he could *smell* the scent of a ginger coming off me. Â Â Mini Occo Blue quickie review until I have a chance to test it properly on specific targets: unsurprisingly it goes a treat with Sneaky Clean. The funk calms down pretty much completely on me to a lovely sort of blue musk, too, but it takes a few hours. Luckily no one in my cathedral choir (HA!) asked what smelled like salacious ass. Sure does come through clothes, even after 20 minutes of dry-down. Edited January 22, 2014 by donsie

vladmyra
I still don't have a functioning quote button . Donsie: "That explains why I like smelling my cats..." Â LOL! I love to sniff my cat's head, especially when he comes in from the backyard on a cold day. Sometimes he smells sweet and soft like baby powder, and sometimes he smells clean and lightly smoky, like autumn evenings. In summer, as it gets really hot here, he sometimes gets a little kitty BO under his arms legs. Then I bring out the blueberry muffin scented dry cat shampoo (because I cannot bathe him- he would skin me out of fear). Â I must get some OCCO Blue to wear with Sneaky Clean. It's one of my favourite perfumes and I love mixing it up with other scents to change it. These two seem to be made for each other.

ephoebe23
Hello to all  I've tried OCCO Red and can I say that I'm in love??? I oredered a full bottle in oil form a couple of days ago.  I have a question for you ... If anyone has tried the OCCO red in both oil form and spray form, which one do you prefer and why?
StacyK
I've never used an OCCo in spray. I have a LAM in spray, the specific scent is a good cover but if I find the LAM to be a lot of cops.. for me an OCCo would be too much IMO. If you really love the scent, what about NOCO Red (same scent) with just a light boost of cops? Edited April 2, 2014 by StacyK
hearts
If you get OCCO in a spray, just avoid your hair and allow time for dry down. I prefer my OCCO in oil though. It wears closer to the body and easier to control IMO.
ephoebe23
Thank you both for replying I'm completely new to this. So ... two more questions: Â What's the difference between OCCO Red and NOCO Red? I get that the second one doesn't contain cops, but does this mean that it's actually LP Red? Â Also, what happens if OCCO Red in spray gets to your hair?
hearts
I have never got cops in my hair, but I hear it's hell to get the smell out. Think cops before drydown: rotting fruit/cheese/snatchy. NoCo red is the same scent as OCCO red minus cops. LP red is a different scent.

Also, what happens if OCCO Red in spray gets to your hair? Cops in your hair smell dirty/snatchy. Generally an unclean impression. Cops need to "meld" with your skin, when they dry down you get a sexy/fruity'ish scent. They can also make scents you wear them with seem sweeter.  The NOCOs are the OCCo scents without the cops. They are not the same as the scents from the LP line (Like LP Red). Some similar notes but not the same thing.  lol I see Hearts & I pretty much said the same thing. The great thing about this forum is that questions are encouraged, and you're asking the questions on the right thread. You are asking the right questions. IDK if you know this but in the Journal thread if you look at "Dolly's" journal she has a post in there about pheros for newbies. I love it. But please ask away. Not everyone always has the same experiences but there are definitely some tried and true rules. Edited April 2, 2014 by StacyK

luna65
So, one question: has anyone tried the NOCO version? Unlike OCCO Red/Black/mostly White, this one I can definitely smell the cops in as it dries down. Does the NOCO smell the same or do the cops change the dynamic a lot? I definitely see FB of this in the future, but I'd love to have a virgin bottle for when I don't have time to dry down properly. NoCo Blue is definitely softer than OCCO Blue, it's very sheer and powdery. It's really the only powdery scent I like. I recommend it absolutely, but just with the caveat in regards to its intensity. Rose Blackthorn
Sorry, a bit off topic here, but the other night I broke out my little trial vial of OCCO Black and am chiming in. To my nose OCCO Black is darkness incarnate in scent form. Truly, I am an avid lover of dark scents and this one is incredibly black in a dense, shadowy, incensey sort of way. It is almost TOO dark for me. I am not saying that I do not like it because I do, but I have to go VERY easy on this. The tiniest dab is quite intense on my skin. The cops are under there for sure, but this is a very heavy and dark cloak indeed. Beautifully dark and mysterious, but resist the impulse to go heavy with this. As with all of them, easy does it, but with this one even more so. A trial vial of this will last me a very long time.
