Medications and Pheromones

Recommended Posts

I take about 8-9 scpits a day.So I wannted to know if thet has any effect on us or if it depend on the meds or what?

What is it that you take?

Birthcontrol will significantly decrease your natural copulin production so if you've been on BC's for a long time then you'd likely need more cops.

Other phero's on the other hand I don't think are affected. Phero's aren't hormones and phero's don't affect your natural hormone levels, but if you have low hormone levels (clinically low as in an actual deficiency or medical condition - and this is rare) then you might have a lower natural production depending on which hormone you are deficient in.

I am ever so slightly hypothyroid. Would that affect anything phermone related? Lately I haven't been taking my medication because it honestly never changes my levels very much and because it makes me sick to take with my ADD medication that I have just started in the last few months.

Oh yeah, all the time. I get tested at least 3 times a year. I am prescribed the lowest dose available and have stopped before I have been tested before and my levels are not hugely different. The ADD meds take precedence for me right now since it's a newer diagnosis and more life changing. I am going back to the dr this week, so I will get it worked out hopefully. Thanks Tee, hugs back to you!

What do you mean when you say you "get sick" when you take both your Thyroxine & ADD meds? What type of sick? What do you take for the ADD? There's no reason why you shouldn't be able to take both. To be honest I'd go back to your Doc & chat to him/her. If you are hypo you need your Thyroxine, not just for your metabolism but other important processes...including brain function.

Hugely sick to my stomach. I take Concerta in the morning and the levoxyll has the same instructions. They are both meant to be taken before anything else on an empty stomach. If I take them within 2 hours of each other I am sick for the first half of the day. I go back to the dr 2 days from now and am planning on addressing it. I will likely have changes anyway. Part of the problem is having 2 specialists as well as a General Practitioner. Even when you give a complete list of what else you are taking, the meds prescribed by another dr tend not to get priority. As far as the thyroid meds go, I haven't been too concerned since I have had 2 doctors tell me that I could stop taking it if I wanted because my levels were borderline.

My dr told me to take the thyroid meds before I go to bed. Thanks for making the point about brain function, Rosebud. That really made me remember to address the problem since brain function is what I am trying to get under control!
