Lisa's Hot Peach Compote

Holy crap, the moment I smelled this stuff my mouth began to water because it reminds me exactly of a piping hot, buttery, spicy peach cobbler oozing that lovely fruit goop made possible by mounds of brown sugar melting in the oven. I love the Halloween spices, which are just right and don't take over; this is really putting me in a fall mood, but I'll wear fall/winter fragrances year-round because that's just me. The only downside is that I'm really badly craving peach cobbler right now...
