Sugared English Toffee

In vial: smells like Werther’s Originals! Yum!

On skin: mmm, this smells delicious! It smells primarily like Werther’s Originals (English buttery hard sweets, sort of like butterscotch) but I also smell toffee and also coffee? Maybe even a hint of Irish cream? But mainly toffee and butterscotch with extra brown sugar. I also, strangely, smell a kind of woody note, like oak, underneath the caramelised sugar. The scent reminds me of that toffee that sticks to the teeth and has to broken with a hammer. It’s delicious. Over time I get more coffee than toffee, and it smells almost like caramel coffee stirred with one of those swizzle sticks covered in brown sugar crystals. And served with Werther’s Originals. The mellow and delightful scent of caramel latte and butterscotch lingers and makes me think of Starbucks. It’s a very cosy, comforting scent and one of the nicer caramel scents-some caramel notes can be too much, and I’m sure there will be days when this will be too foody for me (I have to be in the mood for the really gourmand caramels) but this is really lovely stuff. And I’ll probably keep it for the Werthers scent…love those little buttery sweets.

Oh my goodness. This IS English Toffee...whoa! As whiskerswhispers says, it is like Werthers, but I also get a hint of Irish Cream and/or coffee as well, which I couldn't place till I read her review. The drydown on me is like a dark vanilla. Yum!
