Ravenwing's White Forest Cake

ok, here is the sister to my black forest cake. This one is a little sweeter and almost creamier in the feel of it. The cherry blends in really well. This is a calm casual scent that could work for the office too. On wet the cherry really is the headliner but it all melds beautifully.

wonderful creation!! thank you so much Mara. I love it!!!

for those who want a guilty treat without the calories this is so the way to go

I wore this to dance class and everyone was telling me how good i smelled. At first someone thought that the kitchens were baking, until i confessed that all the yumminess was me. It has some good reach that's for sure

I get sheetcake-frosting and maraschino cherries. No chocolate, no cake. Delicious, but skin gobbled it up. Has been very dry lately- ymmv. What I get now is faintly similar to late drydown of occo white.

ETA DANGER WARNING sweet foody scents have always, always, in all my going on 2 years here, destroyed my appetite for the real thing. This is an exception. I am desperately craving cake frosting now.

This is like the angel food cake version of Special D! I get all white cakey yummy white chocolate with that delicious cherry note that I adore from Special D. It's very creamy and thick and white.. ( sounded so pornish ) then it bursts into cherry. It does fade a bit fast though, but I don't mnd reapplying because it is sooo heavenly!

I keep putting off reviewing this one because I can't figure it out. It smells different all the time. The first time I wore it it was almost all white chocolate. Which I adore but I was thinking hmm where's the cherry. The next time I wore it it was sort of chocolate, little cherry, lotta frosting kinda blend. Finally one time I wore it and got a blast of cherry. Next time white chocolate comes back crazy strong. Most of the times it the kinda blendy one but I just never know whiat I am gonna get from this one. I agree with Tyvey though I get more of a frosting vibe than a strong cakey note. I am good with that though because certain cake notes bug me. All in all a very fun bottle to own!

This one is primarily white chocolate cake on me, at least for now, whereas Black Forest Cake is candied cherry and the suggestion of chocolate cake...so I'm wondering what will happen with I layer them (which I will soon).

But this one really sticks on me more than the other, it's yummy!

Rwing, just wanted to let you know that this is the bottle I've gone through fastest in my 2+ years with LPMP. Probably because I cover every square inch of my person with it almost nightly. :) Can't get enough o' that sheetcake frosting and maraschinos!

Is any of this confection still hiding back in some dark, dusty corner somewhere?

OK, Luna! I took you up and ordered it! I'm sure others around these parts would be interested in bottles, too, so Mara may want to whip up a little extra!

. . .

Is it done yet??? :jumpforjoy:

*Reviewing the 2012 rebrew -- *swoon*

Take a slice of delicious white cake, smoosh some maraschino cherries into it with a dash of whipped cream frosting, zap in some cocoa butter for that little extra sparkle -- now squeeeeeze it really hard over a bottle (you may have to squeeze a couple dozen cakes) -- and PRESTO!! Ravenwing's White Forest Cake! I don't smell any candles, but YMMV.

I have been slathering this delicious confection all over me for a couple days now and can see that my two-bottle investment is not going to last longer than the next celebrity marriage. It reminds me of a sweeter version of Halo's Angelique with a cherry on top, but that's probably just the cocoa butter talking.

Thank you for remaking this one, Mara! I may try pairing it with a happy phero, like Topper or Popularity Potion, because the fragrance really makes people move in for the sniff.

Wore this the other day to work. A co worker was talking to me and standing really close. She declared "someone must be brewing coffee! Do you smell coffee?!" Now, I know she was talking about White Forest Cake. We were in the cosmetic dept at a dept store! There is no coffee! Lol!

Weird that she interpreted this as coffee though... This totally smells like cake and frosting to me.

LOL it's incredible the cross-references that the nose makes the brain make. I've noted before that a friend always says when I'm wearing G&L -- which is an eggnog gingerbread fest -- that I smell like "maple syrup covered flowers". Err what? - I think the egg + g-bread makes him think of breakfast, hence the maple syrup at least. no idea about the flowers. :D

COFFEE?!?!! Now that's a new one! I've gotten comments about cake, cupcakes, ice cream, chocolate pop tarts (yep!), generic "food" and, of course, the ubiquitous candle while wearing White Forest Cake, but never coffee!! How funny!

ETA: Last week there were 11 bottles of this confection on the Artfire site, today there are only 5! And I plan on buying at least two more bottles soon. GGG, peeps!

Lovely crumbly cupcake base, with a white chocolate note. Actual white chocolate, not coco butter. This is a similar scent to Lick of Cream, but is more crumbly and cakey than soft and creamy. I'm so very glad this works on me!

Is this similar to Joanna's White Chocolate Frosting but with cherries?

It's more cake-like than that one, IMO.

Heather -- this is one of my favorites. It's very sweet, full of vanilla, cake, and icing notes. As Luna mentioned, there's a wee bit of cherry, but it overpowers nothing. The overall fragrance has some depth to it -- it's not a drugstore bubble bath scent by any means.

But Tyvey made a good suggestion -- read the other reviews on this thread and they'll provide you with a lot of info.
