Black Cat
I tried this one out last night, and wow! Another lavender amazement. On me, it was one of the lavenders that goes a little bit herby/medicinal, but as it dried down it got softer and the vanilla and amber created a wonderful pillow-y effect. I've only tried Balm Bomb once before, in one of the spell potions... it's a little hard to judge the effect because I put this on shortly before turning out the lights and I was asleep almost instantly!! I have so many LP lavenders I told myself that I wouldn't need this one, but I think I might. I've had a rough couple of days and my sleep has been very disturbed (and I've been forgetting that my LPs can help with that!) -- this gave me my first sleeping through night and waking feeling refreshed in quite a bit. vladmyra
Blackcat, have you got The Big Easy as well? I'd love to know how the two scents compare. Is it a different type of lavender?
seajammarket
I love this. The amber is so smooth and the vanillas are very soft. The lavender from the start is perfect and is not at all medicinal (which can often happen on me with some lavenders). I use un balm bomb a lot for bedtime and am always looking for the perfect restful lavender. This is a winner for me

Black Cat
Blackcat, have you got The Big Easy as well? I'd love to know how the two scents compare. Is it a different type of lavender? Hi Vlad, I don't have the Big Easy in my possession any longer, but my memory of that one is that it was more herbally and unisex. I tried this again last night and did not have such instant sleep, which was kind of a bummer, but also allowed me to experience the dry down for Beautiful Dreamer, and it was heavenly! It goes on a bit herbal but as it dries down that element disappears and the vanilla comes out more and makes it sweet and smooth. It gets prettier and prettier the longer I have it on. donsie
I am crossing my fingers that this lavender does not go in a medicinal direction on me. Tickle, Tickle, which also has the vanilla and amber, does not work on me: it reminds me of cough medicine for hours, though this does dissipate after a *very* long dry-down (four hours, say). Sounds like it could go either way.
NuTrix
Big Easy was too much on the masculine side for me and Tickle Tickle did the medicinal thing on me too. After several hours of dry down it was ok but we never quite made friends. Â BUT! For Beautiful Dreamer: While wet, at the very first, springing from the vile, I got the blast of lavender with a bit of bite but it quickly - like less than a few minutes - changes to an almost floral, powdery note. Really soft and pretty. The vanilla adds a pillow of softness and isn't a foodie vanilla to my nose at all. I seem to love most things amber but I can't quite pick it out. The amber and vanilla seem to float right along with the lavender and make for a lovely well blended fragrance. This isn't a me scent, but I think a lot of you will really like it, especially those of you who like clean floral fragrances Edited November 12, 2014 by NuTrix
WnG
LOVE LOVE LOVE this one! Â The amber is softened beautifully by the vanilla. They're soulmates in this one! The phero/fragrance is wonderful and are soooooo soothing. I didn't realize I had tension until feeling it melt away after this beauty! Mmmmmm .... Â I can't smell the lavender, but I often use lav essential oil neat ... soooo, it may be too subtle for this hard core lav user to detect. Â Really loving everything I've tried so far .... ah, not enough spots on my arm to try them all at once. Hey, is there a patience phero? Hahaha .... donsie
Oh, thanks for allaying my fears, NuTrix. I found the Big Easy a bit dusty/powdery smelling. luna65
I love this for the same reason I love NEW and the Lavender Vanilla FHW - that blend of lavender and vanilla is so sweetly soft and cuddly, wonderful! hearts
Mmm a perfect snuggle time scent. It's a slightly herbal lavender, cushioned on the softest, most pillowy clouds of vanilla. This smells so soothing and comfortable- I want to cuddle up in a big plush blanket and smell this. This will be absolutely heaven sent during PMS or whenever I'm not feeling too happy. Balm Bomb tends to set me back to "neutral" when I'm not usual happy self.
Invidiana
I really thought I had enough lavender vanilla scents, so I just got a sample of this. I was wrong. Â It's the luscious vanilla and amber combo that sets this apart from every other single lavender-vanilla scent I have, and yes, I do have quite a few of them. The vanilla is just so deliciously creamy, and the amber warm and inviting, like a luxury pillow you just sink deeper and deeper into. And the lavender? Not sharp or overwhelming at all. It's just what I want lavender to behave like: soft and calming, without stepping on the other notes (like some other lavenders do on me). A bottle is in order. androstenol
And another two thumbs up from me. The unscented phero in oil blended over another LP never did anything for me, perhaps I was using too much, or the intent of the phero wasn't jiving with the scent of the other LP. ANYWAY, this is soooooo soothing. It's my first lavender-heavy scent and it has me wondering how come I don't have more of this goodness in my life. Probably end up with 1 or 2 FB for this one. ssupytalp
Mmmm, this is lovely and sweet and soothing and yummie! Â Very relaxing and comforting, but very pretty as well; for some reason this comes across as extremely feminine to me, perhaps even girlish. There is something innocent and light about it - although the scent itself has good throw and lasts quite a while.
Lainey
I tried this a couple of nights ago. I found it somewhat masculine-smelling, although I couldn't figure out why since I don't consider any of the ingredients to be "masculine." But like WnG, I have been known to use Lavender EO all by itself, so maybe that's why this seemed different to me. I didn't really get a distinct "lavender" scent that I could pick out. Still, I found the scent comforting, especially after it dried down a bit. Once it did, it softened somewhat. Â What it did do, though, was put me out like a light! I often have trouble sleeping and staying asleep, and I have no self-control so I can often be found playing Facebook games at 2 a.m. But with this, I could not stay awake! That was delightful, and for that alone, I'm considering a full bottle (and now you've got me worried by saying there are only 11 left--surely it can't be sold out already!?). Â I didn't put it on last night, but the scent was still on my PJs, and again I fell asleep much faster than I usually do. My Facebook games might suffer with this stuff, but at least I will be healthier and well-rested! I love it in the same way I love Flying Potion--except whereas that one helps me with motivation and daytime things, this one is calming and helps me sleep. StacyK
Can anyone who has lavender velouté compare the two for me? I loved that but the amber took over the whole thing. Other than the fact that they both contain Lavender, they are very different. This is more grounding, with smooth vanilla. On my skin the Lav is fresh and bright'ish when first applied. Not overtly medicinal (nothing like "Tickle") not super soft & floral either.  I hardly smell the amber in "Velouté" so I'm not sure I can make the exact comparison for you but the Amber in this is soft and warming on my skin. The notes ultimately blend together and create a soft, pretty & soothing scent. A great scent for BB.

girlfriday
I'm usually not a fan of lavender as it goes all medicinal on my skin. But this past Saturday the red river was flowing, and since I'd never tried BB, I figured this would be an excellent time to try it. Â This is the first lavender scent that I've immediately fallen in love with. It's sweet and thick and rich, riding on a creamy vanilla cloud. I actually think it's kinda sexy. I only had a swipe on my hand and I laid in the bed with that magical hand close to my nose. I was asleep with drool on the pillow in 5 minutes! And that's with no pain killers, so Balm Bomb appears to be sedative to me. Â The good thing is when I woke up an hour later, I felt like a million bucks. I was relaxed and happy as a mofo even though I was still crampy. Â So for beating my period blues, Beautiful Dreamer gets 4 tampons up and a FB purchase. (I'm a recovering energy drink addict.) But this one surprisingly appeals to me. I'm about to lie down now and yup, I'm reaching for my little trial vial. Curious to see what I'll feel like in the morning after a full night with Beautiful Dreamer.
