I can hold on for about a month because Mara and Danna do such amazing jobs with the scents. It's always worth it to me as much as I have no patience and want it yesterday, but that's just how I am with most things it seems.

Meanwhile, I'm excited with anticipation everyday when the mailman stops at my box. In fact, right now I'm thinking of that old (nearly ancient) ketchup commercial... anticipation... it's making you wait la la la...

But the waits are always worth it, though most of us go bonkers during the interim only because we're so excited. And THEN if you have a few orders with a bunch of bottles and samples, it's like OD heaven for at least 2 days (that short for me because I have to test all the samples right away). Then I go into a calm happy zone for a few days until I place my next order. Vicious circle that it is, it's worth the excitement and anticipation.

Nothing yet and it's driving me batty! Same from Magical Omaha. Everyday I get hopeful and excited that my goodies will come, and everyday I am sad when they don't, but then I go to hope again for the next day, except on sunday.

Have an awesome moment! Or several - hoping it's more than a moment.

Have you received my email addy ? I was considering joining the decant circle, read the specifics twice, I don't get it ! There wouldn't be much I can contribute, everyone seems to have it covered, mine would just be dups.

I didn't get your email addy yet. Were the ladies going to send it? They might just be busy with orders right now.

As for the decant circle, you don't have to have any of the scents to join. A few other members in it don't have scents either, and it's not a problem since it's not a large circle. It's just a way for people to sample them because they don't have samples of them available, and this way it's fun and easy.

And actually, you could help with one I think... sin city is one I think you have, isn't it? My decant on that is a little low so if we put you a few people after me you could top it off. How does that sound? Then you've contributed, and if not, no problem. Those of us that are contributing are doing it because we have them and we want everyone to get sniffs and tests.

Shelly B, if you want to join we can just put you at the end of the circle, and you can mail a decant of your scent into the circle, and we'll add you to the end of all the lists so that you get them at the end and don't have to worry about mailing them to anyone else unless the original contributors want their vials back, but probably not. Does that sound cool?

This is such a nice scent that smells similar to coca-cola on me. Not completely but I think the fig and musk mix in a way that it's giving me some aroma that's similar to soda. And yet, I kind of like it. I don't dislike it. I'm just reminded of soda when I smell it, which is kind of funny. Maybe if I blend it will vanilla or layer it with another scent the soda part will go and leave the pretty Holle part behind with a layer of whatever I choose.

Verra nice! Isn't it scary how long our lists get. The will be a sweet order. Don't forget to throw in random samples because they're so much fun.

You should see the list I'm working on. This place is so dangerous for me. I don't know how I'll manage to wear all these LPs during my lifetime, but what I've discovered is that hoarding aan extra one lots of people (including myself) really like can work to my advantage if I ever want a new one and don't want to spend the extra $$. Someone gets something precious to them that was gone and I get something I really want to use in favor of one that I realize I'm not going to use enough. There's only a few bottles I go through at lightening speed. Right now it's LP WS 08 and Oidhche Shamhna for bedtime scents. I even have the bottles on my nightstand!!! Otherwise, I'm not going through the others too fast, but I'm usually not doing much reapplication during the day. Yet I always want new ones. So in short, I'm bonkers for LP scents.

I only make about $70 a week, but that still doesn't stop me from spending more than I should on these! Maybe there should be a pheromone enhanced perfume to establish or enhance money saving abilities?

They are simple florals, so you may have more success. How did the Oriental Gardenia change on you? The single florals usually play nice. I don't even have these loviles yet and there already available for everyone else.

The Oriental Gardenia became very strong on me, like the myrrh and cardamom took over I think. I'm not even sure I smelled the gardenia at all. Any rich, resinous or incense type scent usually trumps the florals on me unless there are a lot of florals and the other scent is very minor component.

With all the bottles I have coming, I think I'm going to be buried under LPMPs for at least a week with testing and trying the different scents. There's only a handful that I've actually tried on the way. And that's not even counting the samples I got from last month and this month. But this time I will try to limit my bottle purchasing. No really. I will.

You almost had me buying the ones I already bought. There are a few extra yummys I must snag.

It's so cool to see everyone's customs and have them available to other people. I'm really looking at the one you and Christine did! Seriously considering buying it. You're floral customs look good too only I know the way florals go on me.

They are all awesome, and they make them sound even better in the descriptions. I'm tempted to order another bottle of the three I did, plus a few others.

Actually it's not on the low stock. Sinister Girl cleared that up so no worries about it. I don't think anything is that low that it would sell out before the links are even completed.

man you guys are LP wild, you guys seem to be ordering dozens of bottles a week from what I read in your posts. I guess the recession hasnt been hitting you guys much lol. I know when I first joined I bought alot but then it tempers off once you have most of what you want then its easier to purchase as the new releases come out.

 

I know I'll purchase maybe 2 or 3 at the most this month and then mostly older scents before they sell out.

My past orders are just me catching up with older ones that I just tried and really liked. Or getting multiple bottles of ones I do wear frequently or had also just tried and liked and they were on the GGG list - 9 bottles were simply due to GGG list. Of the newer scents, I'm much more selective now that I know what I like and can eliminate quickly by telling what I'll wear and won't wear often from samples I choose. Then there are the 3 custom blends. I don't really know where they fit into my arsenal building.

I think with the exception of maybe three possible bottles from older ones that I still haven't tried, I'm up to date at this point and it's going to be just a few new scents every month, the ones I like the most that I'll wear regularly. I have a lot of bottles, and yet there's only so much I can wear on any given day, so there's going to be some drop off now especially if there are any similarity to scents I have.

I have a ton of stuff coming. My regular orders include: Sexology (bottle), LP with BI (bottle), Scarlet Silk (bottle), monthly sampler, Figgin Awesome (bottle), Yin Ylang (2 bottles), Just a Little Naughty, PG: Dominance (trade), Raven Moon 2008 (bottle), Scandalous 2009 (2 bottles), Rocket Fuel (am splitting with knjsavy), Custom Sugared (bottles), Time Travel Potion (bottle) and 5 unscented pheros that I am splitting with some other gals.

 

Whew, I think I need to hold off on any more orders until these all come in!

I don't know. I think I have you beat. For bottles: 3 Native soil, 2 LP WS 08, Holle, Sugared Magi, Une, 2 Ashes to Dust II, 3 custom sugars (vanilla/honey/sugared patchouli; vanilla/honey/cinnamon; and sugared patchouli, cinnamon, maple, brown sugar), Raven moon 2008, scandalous 2009, Sogni Incantati, Carpe Noctum, Pink Emeralds, Sexology, and a bunch of samples from last month and this month. Then there are the 3 other bottles I got in swap for my unused pheros, but those aren't really bought so I don't count them. I'm not ordering anything else until these orders come in since some of them go back to around the 4th or 5th. Plus, I have to sample the samples. I will say that 5 of them are purely for magickal purposes of protection and banishing/renewal, but that excuse really only works to a degree.

edited to add that I just counted that, and unless my math is off, I have 19 bottles coming. Holy bejezus! But again, 5 are purely for magickal purposes of protection and banishing/renewal. So uh... 14? If we don't count magickal purposes even though I do like native soil for scent too. Does that make it even a little less crazy?

Too much ! yesterday Jan New Releases sampler and Sexology......today Morrocan Nights and LP:Original (Phero Enhanced)

Too much is right (for me I mean!). I won't even say all the stuff I haven't gotten yet. That's insane. But the most recent order is a bottle of custom sugar, 4 samples, and a bottle of sexology. Out of the samples, I'm pretty sure I'll get a bottle of Scarlet Silk. Then I have around 5 samples coming that I have to sample between last month and this month, but I think I'm going to be more picky on what I buy now because I have so many perfumes, I'm not sure I'm ever even going to use them all. I seem to go to the same ones most regularly, probably because I'm just simple at heart.

I'm still trying to figure out what the "equivalent of a silky négligée" is in Scarlet Silk.

This sounds like bliss in a bottle. You will need to let me know how this turns out.

It is NOT there. I'm not crazy; I swear!! I've tried it several different times. I even went to the sample screen and back (sometimes that recharges the screen and new things show up). I even "refreshed" the screen and nothing. F**king Mercury Retrograde!
