  1. Though I am not a dancer I ordered this anyway. Hearing that it had some pretty special attars in it made me very curious.

I DO like this but I also experience this as more mild than I was expecting. I was expecting something with a bit more throw and longevity..sorta like Raven De La Croix's Secret weapon. There are some notes in common to both,so if you like the Secret weapon scent you will probably like this too.

The scent is wonderful..I must try it a few more times this month to determine if there is some cyclic skin chemistry thing affecting the strength of the scent right now before deciding if this is a bottle purchase for me.

  2. I tried to edit my post to add this but the board was being wonky and ,well, here are some additional details that might help those of you thinking about this scent.

The rose starts off bright but quickly softens and mellows and for the duration of the scent, is a deep, full rose. I get a mental picture of gorgeous velvety dark red blooms. No greenery. The chocolate note is perfectly balanced with the rose. It is a dark-chocolate thins sort of chocolate (to my nose). Sophisticated..not a "foody" chocolate note. The sugar notes seem on the lighter side. They support the rose, chocolate ,coffee and orris but do not compete much for attention. Hopefully more details help get a fuller "picture" of this very nice scent. The more I wear it today the more I'm falling in love with it.

  3. The phero-effects of this blend made me pause about ordering this, because I wonder if combined with whatever natural dominant vibes I already put out will the addition of this make for "too much"..but the scent notes of this blend intrigued me. I love rose blends (when done right),chocolate, coffee and combinations of the above.

When first applied there is a sharpness that commands attention. Is that any of the phermones I wonder? Very quickly that sharpness fades (or one gets used to it?) and the rose blooms brightly forth. The chocolate begins to gain in emphasis as the rose settles down a bit and the coffee stays a bit discreetly in the background compared to the other dominant notes.

I do very much like this. It lasts a long time also..always a plus for me. I will try it a few more days and see if the phero-effects make for any obnoxious perceptions among my family and friends. I would guess there is a fine line between being pleasantly alpha (which I flatter myself in imagining is my usual case) and tiresomely overbearing.

If all works out, I would definitely get a full bottle based soley on scent properties alone.

  4. I've actually bought a back-up bottle of this..I love it that much. What I most love about it is it blends well with so many other perfumes I have, without getting lost itself. I apply this in different areas from where I apply whatever other scent I may pair it with that day and both scents will waft in and out..a dance of an olfactory sort. FOR ME this scent has no "baby powdery" feel to it, but somehow does evoke the cozy feling of vanilla without having it as an ingredient. Maybe its the musk and sugars together. Once again, this was a free gift sample, not one I'd have choosen for myself based on scent description...or even the magickal properties. I consider myself more a "protector" type than one in need of protection or nurturing. So, I'm glad to have tried it. I own 2 bottles of it now.

I wear this a lot because my husband and others DO seem more indulgent. The scientist in me says "You are just noticing such behavior because you are subconsciously expecting it anyway." but the mystical (superstitious?) side of me thinks back on the fact that the very fisrt day I wore this, my husband took me into a jewelry store and in addition to happily buying me a special piece I've wanted, also INSISTED on getting me another piece he thought I should have..despite MY hesistating about the extravagance.

Later that same week my usually argumentative sister did NOT get on my case about anything and seemed to enjoy more our time together. I wore it to a party a few days later and people I didn't even know were mixing me drinks, telling me what to eat and such forth.

It seemed to me to be more people doing this than usual, tho to be honest, I do get treated nicely at parties anyway. Its just there was MORE niceness coming my way, from strangers as well as my old buds.

So, maybe I am strongly associating this scent with nice behavior from others in a Pavlovian way, hence my strong liking for it..maybe there is more to it than that. All I know is I love it for it's ability to dance nicely with other scents and my pleasant emotional associations with it.

    *edited for spelling error.

  5. The new releases look very interesting and I've ordered samples of several,as well as a few others here suggested I try.

Some of the samples I'm testing for bottle potential for myself, some for gift bottle(s?) for a good friend's Valentine Birthday.

I so love the idea of crystal additions to some of the new bottles also.

Eagerly awaiting my shipment and testing. :(

    *edited for a spelling mistake.

  6. I am eagerly awaiting the February blends because one of my best friends sampled my Love Potions perfumes when she visited during Christmas and loves many of the scents. She wants me to get her some for her birthday, which is on Valentine's Day,so I am waiting to try the upcoming blends so I can order some for her in time for her birthday.

  7. I've tended lately to think of myself as "too old" for certain florals. Many floral scents I once loved now seem harsh. Maybe its a changing skin chemistry thing, maybe my nose is less accepting of poorly done commercial scents. And so,even though my husband loves the scent of wisteria, lilacs and freesias, I had stopped wearing those scents in perfumes. I have bouquets of such flowers in my home when in season.

And now, prelude out of the way,let me discuss the scent Wishcraft.

I looked at the description and decided NOT to get a sample because of those florals which have betrayed my love in recent years. *gets out tiny violin* But, as chance would have it, I got gifted with a sample of this in my most recent order. (thanks!) There is no harshness to the wisteria/lilac notes in this. The sugars "round" this out and make it softer, deeper and gently sweeter. Flower scents on a breeze. My husband calls freesia "the candy flower"..maybe some of that gentle sugar candy scent backing the florals comes from the freesia notes.

This also lasts longer than many florals do without going harsh or chemical. So now it seems I CAN once again wear these flower scents I loved so much. Husband is happy about that as well..he prefers me to wear florals rather than foody scents.

I'm going to go order a full bottle tonight before others discover how nice it is and buy it all up. :)

  8. I never expected to like, never mind LOVE :) this scent..BREAD being listed as a prominent note did not sound too promising. But the idea behind it was appealing.

I forget whether I ordered this as a sample or was it given as a sample in one of my orders but once I decided to try it,there was NO WAY I would be without lots of it. I ordered a bottle immediately.

As noted above, the "bread" note is more of a sweeter, richer bread note..maybe like panettone or that star-shaped Italian holiday bread I can't recall the name of at the moment. The honey note in this is wonderful. (and this is a note that is horrid on me in some other perfumer's formulations.) The incense aspect of the scent is not earthy or headshoppy but definitely ethereal and spiritual in nature.

The wine note in this is not cloying..it is barely detectable to me, to be honest. Maybe that is because I'm used to more highly boozy notes in perfume blends that feature wine as part of the bouquet.

This lasts and lasts on me also...always a notable thing for me since my skin eats scent quickly.

It is a very unusual scent, comforting, peaceful and does indeed evoke higher spiritual feelings for me.

    I love this.

  9. My husband has been wearing his sample of pheroboy a few weeks now and loves it. I love the way it smells on him and so do others. He wore it to a dinner with friends last week and many of the women noticed and complimented his scent.

I have to order him a full bottle..or two. He now wears it daily.

  10. Good topic.

    1. Raven De La Croix's Secret Weapon

    2. Cleopatra's Blend (my husband's fave )

    3. Original Love potion

    4. Love potion Black

    5. Tough choice: Spider Silk or Medium..can't decide.

  11. I had a sample of this and tried it daily for several days. I agree with the above review as to characteristics of the scent.

I decided that I like this scent..and my daughter loves it,so decided to go for the full bottle.

  12. Yes, I do detect the Calvin Klein resemblance. This wasn't one of my favorite Lp scents because it smells a bit too "department store men's cologne" on me but my daughter loves it so I gave her my sample. I guess it does not work with my chemistry.

  13. I hope it is ok to start a thread on this since I didn't see one yet?

This scent is really special. What I find most intriguing about it is that there are several distinct and long lasting layers that emanate from this scent once it is applied. A hypnotically sweet, but not fruity or sugary incence-like scent moves away from the skin and hovers lightly in the air around one like an aura. A bit closer, one smells the sandalwood and resins and a different sort of incense.

This lasts a very long time and smells good all the while. I adore it! :)
