  1. Is this one like Honeyed LP at all?

DD, others may have different takes on it, but I'm not seeing (smelling?) any similarity to Honeyed LP. Poudre is soft, powdery in a VERY good way, without the tangy LP notes.

  2. I did not like this one at all. Where was all the honey softness?? This smelled like something a guy would wear. Way too strong!

    Then I checked the vial.

Hah. Both Poudre and Captain Fantastic have similar blue labels with females legs sticking out on the left. I had grabbed the wrong vial.

Poudre is beautiful!!!!!! So soft, so pretty! My checkbook is quaking because I'm seeing FB for this one, too.

Now if you'll excuse me, my other arm has a date with soap and water. . . . darn men's colognes, anyway. . .

  3. Well, after testing my NRs samples, I decided I need a FB of Fairy Musk too.

Right with ya, Hearts! Love the greenpink. Cute how many of these Valentine's Day scents are "couplets" -- lemonmaple for Moon Sugar Candy, greenpink for Fairy Musk, orangespice for Orangzipan, choconut for The Trouble with Truffles, etc. Is Mara being playful again?!? (Or am I just seeing unicorns in my sock drawer again? I hate when that happens.)

  4. Oh my, this is so much more interesting and delicious than the original LP White! LP White Original was a delicate floral, but it lacked substance. It was a bit . . . flat, perhaps??

This new version is va-voom! It grabs your attention and keeps it. For sure, it's white, it's delicate, it's floral, but it's fuller, more complex than the original. The apricot adds zip, and the florals are way more crisp and bouncy. The dry down is softer than when wet, but no less compelling.

The word "gorgeous" was created for this scent. I have found a signature scent at long last!

  5. Is this similar to the orange almond hydrating water?

To my nose, the orange and almond are more pronounced than in the HW.

This one is fun, but then, I'm an orange ho. On initial application, the orange and almond are fairly even, but after a minute my skin seems to amp the almond just a tad more. About three or four minutes after application, the nutmeg starts making its appearance and everything turns a mouth-watering spiced orange.

Hearts, you nailed it with the "makes your mouth water" comment. Yes, it does, doesn't it!

Such a clever and perfectly morphed name for this clever and perfectly morphed scent!

  6. How evocative of the cold, bright moon!

The name is spot on for the scent. On my skin, the notes are lemonmaple -- yes, one word and in that order. The touch of amber is a gravitational force holding the notes together so everything doesn't fly off into the void.

It's a very simple, but not a bit simplistic, scent. I bought it FB outright, and am very glad I did. There's something about this one that leaves me . . . contemplative.

  7. This one smells High Strawberry in the vial. I must have sniffed that vial about a dozen times before finally using it!

If you were fortunate enough to have scored a bottle of Sweet Jessica, this is a very subtle version of it. Sweet Jessica was a very, well, sweet strawberry cream. This is Sweet Jessica Lite -- it won't raise your blood sugar or decay your teeth sniffing it.

It's soft, yummy, strawberry cream, emphasis on the soft. Unlike the screams given off by the annual strawberry shower gel from BBW, this whispers.

    I like it.

  8. This one will take a few minutes to settle down and bloom into the full nutty deliciousness that it is. At the three minute mark, it's now smelling like one of those famous round chocolate-peanut-vanilla cream candy bars I used to eat by the dozen. Luckily, Mara keeps it grounded and it's a very grown-up candy bar scent.

This may become a FB order for me, depending on how fast I go through the sample vi . . . well, okay. FB it is.

  9. Yes, yes it is PERFECT! Exactly what you all dreamed about!

The cherry is an intense initial tidal wave, then simmers down and lets the other players have their spot. Because it's a white chocolate, it doesn't veer off into Special Delivery territory. On my skin, the amber is fairly up front, which I like because it keeps the whole thing from toppling over into uber sweet. The dry down is very soft, and my nose keeps wandering to my arm unbidden.

This one is my favorite of the NRs. Part foodie, part amber, totally luscious.

  10. LOVE it! I detect no green, StacyK, just delicious, soft peach, a bit of apricot to give it a bump, and the background notes of cream and something sparkly, which must be the champagne. There's only the teensiest of a alcoholic beverage nip to it.

The champagne note had scared me on paper. On skin, it is delicious.

Overall, it reminds me of a sparkling peach wine cooler.

This has all the markings of becoming a FB purchase for me.

  11. ok...I am REAL late in on this one. Once upon a time, back in 2011 when I joined and was reading all over this forum, I saw about the credit thingie. I've also noticed that the name over my avi changes now and again too. Now, I have been accused of being unobservant...and it's true...but am I understanding that our titles over the avis change as often as our ranks? (I'm actually hoping there's no correlation because I'm only realizing this 1 & 1/2 years LATER!)

Oh, NuTrix girl, can't hide anything from ya, can we! :Emoticons04263:

Yep, the new titles represent your change in rank.

And don't feel bad -- a LOT of us took our sweet time in making that discovery!!!!!!

  12. JD, thanks to Hearts I got the chance to try Honey Bunny and that ended up being one of my first January orders. It smells soooooo good! As much as I can't wait for NRs to arrive, I almost dread it... I know my resolve will start to slip!

Doesn't it smell heavenly???! I spray it all over my room at night and it helps me sleep really well. It's like a big warm, cozy feather comforter.

Yeah, the sampler platter has a way of washing my checkbook out with the tide, too. Who'd ever believe those sweet li'l innocent tubes of glass and plastic could be so darn dangerous?!
