  1. Mara is no flasher! Everything is posted ahead of time, and we all circle the boat waiting for the chum to drop. The initial rush is everyone reading the rules and checking out the available bottles, and plotting . . . plotting . . . plotting!

ETA: Oh, and grabbing what you really really want before it's all gone, of course!

  2. Thanks to Halo, I finally got to try this. It's wonderful! The initial jab of lavender lasts about five seconds and then it morphs into this CLOUD (there's just no better word for it) of soft comfort as the other notes weave in. I've never been able to describe a fragrance as "welcoming" before, but this about sums it up. It slowly wraps around you and envelops you in this soft, downy cloud of relaxation and carries you off to a warm, dreamy place you never want to leave. I slept so well last night wearing this!

I am so happy I was able to nab a FB. BC, you done good! Very very good! :Goingtobed-1:

  3. This is what I've got:

It looks like you only ever redeemed once. Does that sound right?

Yes, only once. I keep forgetting about your generous offer! My oversight shall soon be corrected. Thank you, Mara!

ETA: I see where I was getting the 1,300 -- that's how many points I can spend. WHOOOP!!!

*waddles off with pencil in beak to plot new order*

  4. Great googly moogly...have'nt been here in a while!

:w00t: CONGRATS to all Movers of Up! :w00t:

I recently noticed (and am well on my way to being something else) that I have become a Cuddle Bunny. Imagine that! B)

Yes, we've missed you, dear Batsy Cuddle Bunny!

:vampire2: Don't disappear on us like that -- we worry!

  5.

I asked for a variant of Hot and Sticky.....less grapefruit (which my skins amps like crazy), less pineapple, and more mandarin orange......still with a drop of dark honey. Still a big ol' citrASS salad.....I told her she could change the name so people wouldn't think it was the same as Hot and Sticky.

OOOOOoooooo -- Dolly, this sounds absolutely wonderful! I want a FB just based on your description!

  6.

Mark's Tonka Tobacum, I don't know why but I'm interested. Any chance a lady can wear this?

CuR -- I LOVE wearing this one when I'm in the mood for something totally different. Have you ever tried the commercial unisex fragrance, Chergui? It's a bit on the masculine side, too, and Mark's Tonka Tobacum lends that same kind of vibe for me. Except I like Mark's Tonka Tobacum better than the Chergui.

  7. I tried this one when it first arrived, gave it a quick "meh" sniff, and stuck it back in its cute little holder. Yesterday I saw it again, dabbed a bit, inhaled, and was immediately transported to Purple Heaven! This stuff is GORGEOUS! I do not like violets, and am thrilled purple that my chemistry hides the violet in this one and lets the other scents bloom. It is a full-bodied, well-rounded fragrance that puts a smile on my face.

It's just a gosh-darn HAPPY scent! This one definitely gets added to my FB list.

  8. Wow Ducky, that's a high rating! Did you buy the sampler to test all the other Totems as well? Is Totem: Goat the highest on the EA Scale?

Hi, CuR! Yes, I bought both sets of the Totem samples. Goat definitely has gotten the highest rating on the EA Scale. Panda and Beaver came in close behind, at about 7 and 8, respectively. The others received their share of attention, but Goat ALWAYS got rave elevator reviews. :)

  9. Out of all of the Totems, this one garners the most Elevator Attention. Each time I wear this, peeps on the elevator ask me what I'm wearing, or they sniff the air around me, or just look at me without saying anything, trying to place the scent. Of course, when I tell them what it is, I will ALWAYS get some wise guy who makes some less-than-clever comment about goat perfume . . . Others, however, make careful note of the LPMP name!

So, on the EA (Elevator Attention) Scale, Totem Goat rates a clear 9 out of 10.

  10. This one lives up to its namesake, as it is such a sneaky sleeper. You think slow, plodding, lumbering. But right when you think it's a pretty unexciting scent, it wakes up! And it's suddenly an elephant dancing on its toes, graceful, powerful, and awesome. The brightness lasts for a bit, then moves into an inexplicably uplifting yet ineffable fragrance that continues its metamorphosis through several more delightful phases. Does it ever "settle"? We're at the 30 minute mark and it's still playing strong. Very fresh.

I never thought I'd be wanting a bottle of perfume called "Elephant." Thanks to the enigmatic Mara, I still don't -- I want two bottles of a perfume called "Elephant"!

Thanks for creating this one, Mara! It's quite an olfactory journey!
