I got my order! WHOOOO. I ripped open my package and started sniffing. Want cold sniff reactions? Well, you're getting them anyway. =)

Not tested on my skin yet. =)

Flower and Flame: CUMIN. And Chocolate.

Lunantishee: luscious nectar and flowers, sweet and ripe with a tinge of violet.

Wildflower: I was totally predicting violet for this, but I don't get any. Instead, it reminds me of pina colada! Sweet and light.

Autumn Mist: Reminds me a lot of BPAL blends, that thick sort of foody scent component. Pumpkins, cider, with a fresh note that ends the scent story, like drizzle of sweet autumn rain with the intimation of airy sweetness.

Spectre Potion: Holy muculage, lots of stuff floating around in the ether in this one. Like pulped grass and other natural ingredients.

His4Her: Surprisingly light. No leather. Spicy-sweet.

Wheat Siren: Another one that smells a little thick and glutton-y with lighter edges. Has a sharp note at the end, high, a little like cut grass.

Plenty: MHMMMMM. I think you guys will like this one. Rich with the initial hit of pumpkin, but fruity sweet, too. Very likable.

Blood Martini: I reaaally like sniffing this one in the vial. Something really compelling in the smoooooth red notes that draw you down into the scent.

Happy Water: Like sitting down in the grass in the summer. Not lush grass, but a space that has few flowers around while you're taking a swig of cold water.

Heh, I was thinking Blatant Invitation because yeap, there are the uncomfortably awkward types at my school, but I don't think I'd be wrong to say that upwards of 90% are really just damn workaholics. "Hey, what are you doing tonight? Oh, working? Oh, uh. Yeah...me, too."

So I'm bitter and want to shake things up a bit! And if I'm a little evil and cause everyone a little discomfort while I'm at it?

Haha, I think my bitterness is making me want to turn trickster and incite some incidents, not necessarily get more sexy myself. *g*

What luna65 said about TC's euphoric effects is making me reaaaally tempted to get it, though I don't know if the world would be ready to hear my unvarnished opinions. Or maybe I should, because I tend to censor most of the things I think before I say anything, when I've found that I usually say too little. Hmm....

Do people have favorites?

Hmm... I think I get you. I'm tempted to just get Blatant Invitation because it sounds more extreme, more likely to get more explicit hits. I go to a nerd school, so that'd be interesting....

Or does anyone have objection to Blatant Invitation on a college campus?

What's the difference between Sexy and Blatant Invitation? I get that the vibe is different, but both are essentially sexy-enhancers. Different kind of hits? Degree of hits?

This is a drier, more herbal-resin blend for me. Reminds me of BPAL's Red Lantern, and its "Asian spice" and opium notes quite a lot. Dries down sweeter, with a light berry scent.

Oh, I feel guilty and excited at once. Guilty x2...3, as that's the number of separate orders I made when I kept discovering new stuff I really wanted. Extra work for Mara and Danna during a busy time--sorry! Also the fact that I placed that many orders in the first place.

But yeah, I really want to smell LP sweet. I've got a craving and the only cure is...!

Any chance Love Potion Pink could come back?

This...ends up smelling like potpourri violets on me. *sigh*

I'm really looking forward to reading the description pages for the new releases so I can find out for sure what's in these suckers. =)

Yeah, it usually softens into something sweeter and warmer, but the first couple minutes is kind of tough. I wonder if aging will improve this--my sample vial didn't have this problem, or as much of one, maybe.

I'm glad I'm not the only one, though. =) Solidarity in finicky skin chemistry!

Does anyone else have the problem of Sugared Honeycomb going on kind of weird and plastic-y?

Early this year, Mara re-blended LP Red so that it'd match the fruitier, less dark reincarnation I fell in love with, and it aged into that blend just this month! It's the same creamy, heady, fruity-spicy with tinge of rose scent that I fell in love with, so I just thought I'd commemorate by posting in this thread again. I also found out that the bottle had been steadily leaking and I lost at least a third/one half of the bottle so I need to watch out for it. But oh man, I never thought I'd be able to recapture that first love--so much hearts and <33333 for the two-woman operation. At least I have more than half a mL like last time!

Also, I am hyped up on rum and Malibu, so extra extra love.

That's intense, Countess. I felt guilty just getting the sampler. =) And...I can't wait to receive my order, either. I'm really interested in finding out what frankencense and myrrh smells like.

My sample vial is almost gone. WHAT.

When it first goes on, it smells like the flat ultra-smooth sweetness of pink bubblegum, but it settles down into a really rich, sugar-grain with an underside of musk and what almost smells as creamy as vanilla.

I don't think it really smells like honey, though. Maybe the most delicate suggestion of it, with a sweetness that's almost floral or fruit, but mostly just a combination of nose-individual sensuals you can't really describe.

I put some on today, though, and it reminded me of plastic. =( I really hope it's not a skin chemistry change or my actual nose changing smell perception, because I went ahead and just got a bottle. Oh well, I'll bathe in it once a month then.

EDIT: AHA. No, it just took a bit longer for the scent to soften up and it's so pettably sweet-soft now. <3 Love this stuff.

(I realize I LOVE the sugared note--it's my favorite part in the blends I love; I'm thinking of trying the Pure Sugar next time I get around to it.)

Argh. I'm in Australia (AMAZING) and I am trying to put myself on a budget. ...but I still got a full bottle. It's going to be a bit tortuous to wait for my package to be forwarded to me.

I need to email Mara to ask for a forum special sample of the original love potion. I love the apricot/vanilla in the other potions so I really need to try this. <3

No, thank you! I'm really excited to hear that! I was sad because I thought I got the sport version of LP:R, and the blend was usually as dark and sultry as the sample I received.

I don't say this to rush you at all, but do you think I'll have it in my hands by the 25th? I'll be leaving the country for several months, so... I ask so I can brace myself for the wait.

I've actually been holding off on trying the original because I've heard separate mentions that it smells like maple syrup... Can I get opinions on this? I've tried Red and Black and I don't think they smell like pancakes...

That is a really mindblowing idea! I'm sure tons of people would be super intrigued to be able to add in a pheremone to their favorite blend--I know I am. Kind of like Jamba Juice's "boosts." =)
