To me there is an overall fruityness, but then my mindshifts and notes the florals...but yet I can smeel the wood and resin that dolly speaks of. I akso smell a boozy scent like wine in there (and no it isnt me ) There is a spice almost like a light chai or cinnamon. It reminds me of a fruity herbal tea bag...I like this one very much.

Wow, so now we have a Countess *and* a Dutchess...I feel so "unntitled"... WAIT~ I shall now become "Queen of all I survey!"

Mmm, I know this scent is so good. It has definetly gone on my bottle list. I am a huge fan of the LP line...

I wrote this in the potion of the day thread:

21st Century Venus is actually reminding me of the perfume i use to wear all the time before finding this site, The scent was "shi" by alfred sung. But it is not nearly as strong and overpowering (even though I like "Shi" it gives me a slight headache to start). And Venus is so much richer and complex. I can smell the overall lovely scent but I get a hint of the many layers that it holds.

I thoroughly enjoy this one and think it is perfect for a classy dinner or sophisticated business meeting.

THis one reminds me of soap, it is a nice scented soap but I am not sure why I am not loving this scent..OMG I figured it out! It smells like the soap that my mom use to use to wash my mouth out when I said a bad word!!! Well looks like I will have to put this one on the back burner. It has such nice notes in it perhaps I will find a good perfume to mix it with. I dont want to give it away because despite the negative memory the scent is a nice one

The concept for this cracked me up (I love whimsical ideas) though I would have said it wasn't my thing, but I received a small sample in one of my orders, so here we go, whoo doggies!

 

In the vial I get the cherry pie and the spumante, there's a sweet playful kind of quality to it. In the wet stage I can smell the mesquite smoke and the florals, I'm not adverse to a smoky floral...but on drydown it's mostly lilac on me, with a hint of the geranium. Not really for me, but I'm thinking my mom might like it, she loves florals.

A perfect description. In the vial this one reminds me of going into a smoky bingo club, wear the air is stale from smoke and cheap perfume. (To be honest the smell in the vial made my stomach turn, especially cuz id smell a hint of yummy cherry and id want more so id smell deeper :unsure: )

I definetly got the smoke and florals in the wet stage and then in the drydown the geranium was promenant on me with a hint of lilac. Once dry i smell all floral, a slight sweetness in the background. There is a soapy scent to this one. This definetly not a scent I can see myself wearing, but with good skin chemistry this one would definetly be another persons "A" scent. I actually could see one of my aunts weraring this one. I havent been wearing it lng but the scent is fading fast on my skin.

Well I am quite curious to hear how cougar expands on itself!

~sigh~ i will have to add it to my ridiculously long bottle wants list.

Has the cougar potion scent been adjusted like I read it might be in another thread? I heard more pink sugar and red and pink grapfruit if I remember correctly...

Oh and is the pheros the same in cuddle bunny or are they the ones that pharmacom (i think i spelt the name wrong ) mixed up for you?

I put this scent on and I want to breath a sigh of relief. It is calming yet so warm and sweet. I can see my boy just burrying his head in my neck and just relaxing in the sweet aroma. I am not good with describing the different notes, but I definetly reccomend this scent those that love and hate lavender as it is not overpowering at all.

I put a lil description of this scent in the "potion of the day" thread and figured I'd paste it here (sorry for any repeat):

I have decided to try out my sugared lavender tester. OMG this scent is AMAZING. It makes me want to melt into a pool of it and continually slather myself in it The lavenders in it are not super strong and over powering nor is it very flowery. On me the sugars take the front and soften the lavender, making it sweet and irresistable! I am not good with notes, but I would say there has to be a pink sugar in here..mmm, so warm sweet and comforting yet very sexy. Added a bottle of this to my wish list!

A lil additive: the sugars give off a lil bit of a vanilla scent too, nothing to strong just a warm cozy smell. (I think this scent definetly makes me think of bed). From afar there is a slight powdery scent to it, but it isnt overpowering as I am not a huge poder scent fan.

If you havent tried this scent, once again, I highly reccomend a tester of it..mmmmm.

Dolly, I would definitely like a blend with beta -nol rather than the alpha- as I think that would be much better in the classroom. As I mentioned in other posts, I too, have noticed a "cranking up" with alpha-nols (excessively increased chattiness, for instance, which is definitely counter-productive in the classroom). However, at this point, I think all of the blends here have either the alpha- or a combo of alpha- and beta-

 

I do not, however, see such an excessive chattiness with the Drop Your Guard blend, though... perhaps the est helps counter it? The students are definitely more relaxed, and more receptive to discussing issues (for example: the decreased redirection time; rather than arguing, they open up about where they are emotionally and then *listen* to my presenting of alternative and more appropriate means of getting their emotional needs met) but even those students with the greatest degree of impulse control are not *more chatty* (byproduct of my strange brain... I automatically and almost unconsciously "collect data" such as 7 incidences of non-pertinent verbalizations today, 6 yesterday, 8 Friday, and 10 last Thursday... I seriously carry such a data record in my brain...)

I am sooo one of those people that becomes a crazy-mindless chatterbox with a-nols (I try to avoid quite often).

BTW Chai, what grade do you teach? My college profs should wear pheros, are class would totally benefit! (I sometimes wear them to class, but they tend to be more of the"look at me" or self beneficial ones )

Oh, yes... I love using Celestial Lust Dust for layering. It adds a lovely softening/powdery element when layered with Raven's Secret Weapon and I really appreciate its effect when layered with Cougar and/or Cuddle Bunny.

Mmm, those sound like great additions!

I tried Pied Piper over it and it finished quite nicely. I think I will try Cougar next and then the others

I waited as long as I could for my postman earlier this week. I finally left him a note saying leave the package and I'll sign the delivery confirmation and leave it for him tomorrow. Mmmmmmmmm, this scent is surely growing on me! Every LP scent that I initially do not enjoy but give a second chance because of all the wonderful reviews I read on it, I end up LOVING! These scents are so layered giving something new and delightful at every scent, everywhere.

I have my collection sitting beside me at the comp and OMG I love the aroma that wafts up from it!

This is all terribly interesting when you first get into it. I've heard of using pheros, but they've always been so expensive and such.

I wouldnt put copulins in the perfume category in the way the skin amps. It is a whole different animal and I would say it is something that you should try and ignore the stench. The EW users have worked hard to figure ways to cover the stench and those secrets are totally available to you, so I wouldnt let that be the deciding factor. If I were you I would try something like Phero girl rebrew to see what it is like wearing cops. The perfume covers the scent so you wont even know its there!

To most noses.... to some of us it smells pleasant. And, the effect can vary across your cycle. I read some research indicating that there is a gene responsible for "smelling" the copulins and other pheromones... those with the gene smell the cops and some other pheromones as unpleasant, those with a mutated gene smell them as pleasant, and those without the gene can't discern the scent at all (but some without the gene can be "trained" to discern....)

The scent of EoW and cops in general has actually grown on me and I dont mind it. And I get quite "effected" when wearing them on myself.

I havent read the gene scent research in relation to pheros and cops, but I have read similar studies with regard to eating asparagus and having smelly pea and being able to smell it. Its a gift to be able to smell the stench

The study that you refer to makes total sense though from my experience. MY ma is one of those super noses who can smell if pheros or cops are in the house! lol.

I find the scent factor and knowing that some can and cant smell it to be part of the fun
