  1. Aw my goddess! I was too quick to dismiss this one!

Initially I tried it on and was like "hm. not as good as LP Red." and the sample was thrown into the bag. Whatever diabolical reasoning my mind pulled for me to try it on again, I am grateful for!!

I smell a VERY thick, creamy buttery vanilla, laden to the max with honey and purple/bluish/black resins. This is sooooo DECADENT. I love softening this one with Spider Silk. Any more vanilla and it would overflow. The soft sugars and moss of spider silk make this a little more like black velvet.

  2. Bird of Paradise seems like a semi-succulent type of plant?....they grow everywhere here in So Cal...we have some in our yard! I think they also grow wild in Hawaii?

Anyway, yes, Halo is spot on. It smells like fresh cut watery stems. I love it. Crush a BOP leaf in your hand and you will get the aroma. :)

Ah, I was being a little tunnel visioned in thinking that the "flowery" parts had some kind of aroma. Just crumpled one in my hand. It is a very fresh and watery scent! Can't wait to smell it in this perfume blend.

  3. It smells green to me, think stems.

OHHHH, ok. I'll try picking a leaf and smelling it then. Thanks for the clarification! This should be a really fresh scent then. Can't wait!

  4. Ok I'm really looking forward to this too. Just a question: What in the world does bird of paradise smell like??

Is it a "concept" accord? Or is there a fragrant variety of the flower that I don't know of?

  5. I love nuts too; they become nice and toasty and smooth on me. But alas, I am afraid of that fig. When I read the description, My mind somehow scrambled the words so that the apricot and figs chopped me up.

  6. Really hoping this is a floral I can do. Lotus I tend to love, and flowery buttercream...mmmh! Love the idea! Lily of the Valley, play nice with my skin please!

  7. Not my usual choice, but I bought it for the intent. And I'm glad I did. Interestingly, on my neck (which is wear I usually apply it) I get juicy, watery, light peach and orange, with the tiniest bite of ginger. On my wrists however, the juiciness evaporates quickly and I'm left with a dry, powdery, dusty, "musk." Yes, "musk." Not sure where that came from, perhaps the amber and chamomile is going wonky?

I don't mind, though; especially since this one is primarily going straight to my throat chakra. It is very soothing, and gets rid of morning hoarseness quicker in conjunction with water, rather than with just water alone.

  8. woah... I'm really learning to sample now. Skin chemistry really does make a huge difference. I love all the notes on paper, but when I put this on, it's a ZING lemon smell. Very very tart and sour, like fresh lemons concentrated to an eau de parfum potency. I'm so sad it never dials back and lets the greenery peek through.

  9. Ordering right now! I'm in this total "water/aquatics" phase! LOL.

Getting trial vials of: Amphitrite and Galapagos (I was really tempted to go fb unsniffed of Amphitrite but I'm restraining myself. I WILL sniff it first before committing. haha...)

FB of Tarot: Temperance. Then going for forum freebies of Seven Tears and Flowers in the Moat (older releases of aquatics, lol)

    loving the aquatics kick, hehehe!

I'm getting the monthly platter, as well as FB of Flambe and Nekomusume, a sample of Skelly Head Flambe, and hopefully forum freebies of pherogirl and Rocket Fuel III, simply because I've never tried those classics!! My hardcore love is definitely spice, but I like to branch out some. Hoping to find some florals I love in this month's sampler.

  10.

YES! :D If you have at least 5 you want, throw in an extra $5 and get the month's sampler. I've done that some months where I wanted to try a lot of scents, and it's been awesome... strangely I always end up with one I never thought I'd try but end up liking!

Awesome, thanx!! I'll do just that then!!

  11. Myyy goodness. This scent is right up my alley!! I'm loving the melting, gooey brown sugar and cinnamon slurry on me. In drydown the namesake smokiness comes in, and it is absolutely to die for. This layers VERY well with LAM Brown Sugar. Kudos to the story writer, as always.

I'll be getting a full bottle for sure.

  12. Oh my goodness. This has to be the most edible scent I have ever loved. First of all, I love the concept. I'm a huge sucker for Japanese folklore, and especially yokai.

Second, MISS LUNA!! To say I love the description is an understatement. Your written art on this one sold this to me harder than Spider Silk.

Finally, the scent. Miss Danna created this one, no?

Ok, the plum. I wonder if Miss Danna has ever tasted an umeboshi before? Because the ume/plum in this scent reminds me of one, and I love it! It's so tart and sweet.

The grainy sweet rice comes in shortly before the top note dies down, and it is delectable! Truly edible. I had to get some rice crispies to fix my appetite that just welled up. It gets sweetly, faintly alcoholic in the drydown. I will be purchasing a full bottle of this in my next order.

  13. Ahahahaha....ok, be sure to check the weather and surf forecast before wasting pheros, Dinky!!

The boat rocked a little too harshly and everybody was a bit preoccupied with being seasick and throwing up rather than noticing how fun and awesome and sexy I was with my new pheros.

I love the scent of spicy brown sugar though!! To me it smells exactly like Cinnamon Toast Crunch, if I had them crushed up and stuffed into my bra.
