  1. If you find a phero that you really like a lot, you might invest in a bottle of the unscented. Phero-enhanced, now you have a better idea of how much is maybe too much for you and those around you. It'll take a little time of figuring out what that might be in the unscented form but when you do, you won't necessarily be bound to the phero's effects when you really want to wear more of the perfume. I have some perfumes phero-enhanced because they came that way and I've had Mara add some to scents but I've kind of come to like having the phero separate so that I can layer it with whatever I want. There's pros and cons to either method but in the end, it's always about what works best for you.

And, that's just pheros. Truth be told, I think everyone's had some amazing hits just with the perfumes alone!! So don't discount the ability to sway and woo simply with one of the awesome perfumes here.

Glad that the thread helped!! :D

  2. There's not too many discussions here about OD effects, per se, but I did ask a question about it awhile back. Here's the thread: http://lovepotion.invisionzone.com/index.php?showtopic=8291. You might take a look at some of the answers I got because it might give you a few ideas although it may not directly answer your question above.

In terms of a straight across the board reaction, my thought is that more than likely if you are seeing the same reaction in a few, it probably will apply for the many such as with QG's experiment. However, everyone here has required differing amounts before finding what "worked" for them - some only need a dab, others spray or roll on a bit (or quite a bit) more so I have to also think that there are going to be some that will react much quicker to high amounts than others because they have a much higher sensitivity to the pheros.

  3. I finally, FINALLY was able to try a sniffie of OCCO Blue. Ms. Rose Blackthorn was kind enough to share a sample of her lovely Dirty Sexy with me and also sent this along with it. I had been putting off trying OCCO Blue because I just wasn't quite sure whether I would like it but as soon as I opened it, my eyes shot open. Holy cow! It's so good!!! Ok, it is now official, I love the OCCOs.

So, one question: has anyone tried the NOCO version? Unlike OCCO Red/Black/mostly White, this one I can definitely smell the cops in as it dries down. Does the NOCO smell the same or do the cops change the dynamic a lot? I definitely see FB of this in the future, but I'd love to have a virgin bottle for when I don't have time to dry down properly.

  4. That month (March) had an Oz trilogy: Emerald City, Wicked, and Ruby Red. So she's already done that, in a manner of speaking.

Halloween is always the theme for October.

I don't know why Oz came to mind. I wasn't figuring that was a theme. It was just funny in my tired head. Like MDC said, I might be trippin - not from acid but probably continual lack of sleep. Or maybe I need to watch it. Personally, I'm still kind of hoping for a hot buttered rum scent in the future. :D

  5. I was trying to sit here and think of what notes might be in each and for some reason The Wizard of Oz keeps popping in my head. Nip of Autumn could be for the Scarecrow. Tombstone Tart and Flying Potion for the Wicked Witch, Fang - the Cowardly Lion, Apparition for Dorothy, Tara n' Tula would be members of the Lullaby League. Not sure about the Tin Man unless he was melted down and turned into a cauldron. Mara already has an Emerald City scent.

I think it's time for me to go to bed. I'm becoming LP delusional.

  6. I STILL didn't get it - even with the picture...I googled it and there was your picture - oddly enough - under tara n tula...hmmm....except google put it all in one word....I would have NEVER gotten it on my own...like as in never ...ever...ever.....would'a put that together....

You are not alone. It went over my head and flew on by until I read just now. Isn't there a face plant smiley around here somewhere? LOL

Elizabeth, I think you may be right. I have never lived around them at all so it's not something I would think of. I was thinking it was a cool picture of Tara n Tula!!

  7. You're right, Luna. When I think of loud, I think more of annoying human traits. I think loud for us - and maybe just me in particular- meant powerful and a carrier to far off realms. It's a scent that you can dab and smell it but a swipe may be way too much unless you're outside in a wind. Certainly nothing vulgar meant about LP Black! Although I wonder if it's like that for others or is that just another aspect of skin chemistry? I've only got two that carry great distances and therefore I MUST dab or else I will overwhelm everyone and that would be Red and Black. Tiny little dabs have made both total hits at work if I am skimpy on the application.

I guess regarding similarities, I will just chalk it up to my nose and happily remain a minority dissident since I find them a perfect alternative to the LP. :D

  8. NuTrix, I TOTALLY agree with you about LP Black being loud. I didn't think I wore that much and I fumigated the room. I love the smell but dabs are probably what you need if you are anything like me. As much as I like Black, I REALLY like OCCO Black. It's the same situation as LP Red versus OCCO Red: you could absolutely say "yes, this is Red" but it has a sparkly, tiny bit sweeter vibe to it. OCCO Black is the same. It's Black - resins, deep, dark but with a tiny bit of sparkly, sweet vibe. As others have asked, I wonder if the cops don't add a bit to that sense. I'm a huge fan of the OCCOs because I think they do give a bit lighter, brighter alternative.

I've tried LP Red with a dab of LP Black. I liked it ok but it's not one of my personnel faves. If I layer them with something, I've been tending towards BBM or even Lick of Cream now that I have it. Those two I love because they help to tone down the loudness but also lend a creamy smoothness that isn't necessarily foody.

  9.

But pheromone month is best in my book, followed by sale month!!

Ohhh - look - a present for me from me!

Don't you know that if you don't learn to love yourself first, you can't really learn to love others? I am REALLY learning to like myself. I think it'll take a more LP's before I love so I'm all for self presents. ;)

  10. That's great that you can share it with your man! I'd get some for my husband but he doesn't hardly wear any. When he does, I actually question why? LOL As long as I've known him he's been a shampoo and deodorant guy - that's all I smell. I'd love to cuddle to some men's LP and see if I get phero'd by him! Oh well.

  11. Whereas I envision Katarina Suit as a undercover sex bomb scent (no pun intended), this one is straight up sex bomb on fire. Literally. It's fire, smoldering embers, smoky wood like feel and sweet burnt sugar, just a touch of spice. I have been up since 2 am for work and I feel like a little sexy thing 15 hours later smelling this stuff!! I desperately want to wear this when the weather FINALLY turns cold. I want to be snuggled in this stuff. It's got a great feel for layering though too. Any thoughts for good combos? LaLa, I love the idea of LAM Brown Sugar... these two seem like a perfect fit!! Just wondering if anyone's tried any other combos?

  12. Heck yeah Storemy! This stuff was one of the first ones I tried. It is good enough to eat! MRF Club unites! Lol.

I wore this last night, and every time I do, I feel like Wonder Woman or Catwoman or Supergirl or any badass female in pop culture. Like if I were the CEO of a corporation and just loving life, this is what my molecules would be made of. It is just pure confidence, and I love it.

And the Rocket Fuel portion of things, the creamy goodness as always. Never overpowering in its mapleness and just a wonderful scent for autumn.

It's so good when I hear the love for this. I wore this today after taking some time off since... well... I have a "few" to choose from. It reminded me of why I fell in love with it in the beginning. Brown sugar goodness, creamy with just a pinch of spice. It's nice to come back to one and realize "Yeah... this is still just as good as I remember". Happy Friday MRF clubbers!!
