  1. Just wanted to drop a little note to say that I hope everything has been going good with the move. Not the most ideal weather or time of year I'm sure but I'll assume that you are already up there so I hope that everyone is well, the move was as easy as they get, and that you find yourself welcomed thoroughly by your new community. With all the work, hopefully you've had some time to recharge your batteries and enjoy it all.

We all miss you, look forward to hearing your adventures come January and hopefully get to see pictures of your new place called home.

  2. I've got my AJA in both a rollerball bottle and the dropper bottle it came in. I find that on days I just want a hint of AJA or a little more control with the amount, the rollerball version is great. I like the scent enough that today I used the dropper because it does give you more dosage-wise and I was hoping to change up the SS4W MRF a little bit.

I may have missed this so I apologize if I did: Because this is not copulins but an alternative to, do you still tend to wear it like you would cops or do you find you put in places that you normally wouldn't wear cops (i.e. around your head, behind your ears, etc.)

  3. I've done either way. I like it enough by itself that I might not add any other phero (like LP Red w/ AJA). Today, I was sporting MRF(SS4W) with AJA and it was a really nice combo... almost kind of turned it from the brighter notes MRF w/ SS4W usually has into something that reminded me a bit more of the darker Blatant Invitation version.

  4. I'm so sad that I didn't get a sample of this until it was all gone. It's very ethereal to me and the dry down is so lovely. It definitely seems to change as it dries. At first, it reminded me of Washington State - the way the air smells first thing in the morning with grey clouds overhead, damp, woody, a twinge of pine in the air, cool. The dry down shifted it into a sheer, more perfume-like tone, definitely felt unisex to me. It's comforting and peaceful.

Ah well, I will use my little sample and enjoy it while I have it.

  5. I'm with Luna, Cheezy. I think that's a good description. I LOVE Fade to Black but I don't get a LP or OCCO Black feel. It's much softer - Black is much stronger and more intense. Fade to Black, at least on me, is closer to the skin, mildly sweet. The resins are the main note, very organic feeling and the sweetness brings that out without turning into a "sweet" scent. Black is hard for me to wear to work unless I literally dab it on my wrists and that's it. Fade to Black, I have no problems wearing like I normally would. It's more like an aura rather than a full-on broadcast.

  6. Unfortunately no. It's definitely a concern for many but I am one of the fortunate married ones so it doesn't affect me as much as it can affect others. For that, I am thankful. Even if I wasn't married, I would do the overtime when allowed, save it up and still be happy about furlough. Time with my daughter is getting shorter and shorter before she graduates and starts getting more involved with things in her own world. I appreciate having this time with her during the holidays. I know it won't always be like this. :)

  7. It works great and I know my husband likes KC... that was kind of a shocker for me. However, my daughter apparently hates all chocolate smells. Yesterday I had on Treat and she acted like I rolled in manure. Today, when she came home from school, her first comments were "What is that smell?? It's chocolate, isn't it? You're wearing chocolate perfume again, aren't you?" *insert crinkle face*

It's a good thing I didn't buy her any chocolate LPs for Christmas but if I have to choose between her responses and husband's? Sorry babe but I'm taking a shower in this stuff. ;)

ETA: I got sidetracked with husband liking this. What I was going to say is that it was nice to see AJA blend into the background and maybe mellow just a bit a scent like this. I love KS by itself and it was nice to see it remain the same but maybe just a wee bit softer...

  8. Well, now that I am officially on furlough, I decided to pull out a "I'm home alone...weeeeeeeeeeee!" scent and become reacquainted with Katarina Suit. I also slathered on some AJA with this and as I suspected, the two work beautifully together. AJA doesn't change KS at all. There's still the choco/leather/cigar/alcohol combo that I came to love so much but it does have this subtle almost vanilla-like vibe - it might be the chocolate coming out a bit more, a bit creamier. In this blend, I think the AJA, rather than create something "different", lends a softening around the edges feel while still retain all the KS sexy, shirt pulling feel.

Furlough sucks, having three weeks off doesn't and today I'm feeling pretty damn hot in this stuff. ;)

  9. I don't know if you have BBM but a dab of this with this baby and its flipping amazing...

Oh my!!! I had to try this out since basically BBM is my go-to to making everything that much better. Holy cow is this good. Thanks for the tip DD. I'm probably the only one on here but I wasn't in love with La Sylphide. I take it all back now though. With BBM, it makes this such a glorious creamy concoction. :hearts0425:

  10. I'm trying out Acts of Violets with TT this morning before shower. This combo made the medicinal smell really disappear, I actually cannot smell it at all now but now its really floral - smells nice and there's an undercurrent of berry popping through but more floral really.

I'm thinking I may like Cauldron Cake with this a little better once it dries down because I'm still hoping to bring out the foodie background.

Ricotta Sonata actually smells pretty good with this too. The medicinal smell isn't detectable.

  11. I'm heading that direction next. I have some Acts of Violets that I'm thinking of mixing. At the moment, an interesting combo seems to be Cauldron Cake with this (funny you mentioned pumpkin). On first mixing, I thought nah.. but then after it began to dry down, it's smelling pretty good AND the medicine is pretty non existent. I'm thinking Acts of Violets is a good next attempt!

  12. I'm still working with this one since I still get more medicine smell than I wish. So, in my experimentation, today I am trying this with a bit of noco spicy brown sugar and BBM. Together, it definitely brings the medicine to a way-in-the-back simmer. Spicy brown sugar: not the best layer here. BBM as usual though seems to be a good addition.

Something has to give... just not sure yet whether its me or Tickle Tickle.

  13. LOL, MissHazel, I love your pictures! It's coming any day now and then you can go back to the sexiness which is Robert Downey Jr.

If it's any consolation, I whisked my AJA straight out of the box and dabbed some all over my arms. My daughter told me that I smell funny and she could smell me across the room!! LOL She even plugged her nose. :fright04238:

  14. I had to chuckle a little. I made one order a couple of weeks ago but really worried I would run out of AJA so I made a last second order for two more bottles. So I got my mailing notice and was so excited because I've been looking forward to trying out the Sugared Honey and today, I got my box. Little sad... it was only the AJA. So, I must wait a little longer I guess until I get the rest of my order. I'm sure that AJA will cheer me up tremendously in the meantime!! :D

ETA: I almost forgot to add the samples were AWESOME. Ones I love and in another gorgeous bag. I dearly love those bags!!

  15. NuTrix, I think Vicks is a great definition of the smell. I couldn't quite put my finger on it but that is a good one. Interesting thing I just wanted to add though is that you might try shaking the jeebies out of the bottle. I generally try to shake everything a little bit, especially if I haven't worn it in a while. I tried giving this a good shaking - like the type of shaking I would love to give my ex-husband, and believe it or not, the medicinal smell went down tremendously. I can now smell a bakery type goodness and the berries that others mentioned but which I just couldn't get. See if that might help a little. I was about ready to say I need to add this one to my trade list but I think I'm going to wait a bit now.
