  1. Finally made my first order in a loooong time ("thanks Christmas money!"). Actually my first order from LP's Etsy shop, too.

    -Halloween Grab Bag

    -Winter Grab Bag

-Alien Cake bottle (I already have Honey Lavender... sadly I am too scared of the reviews of MB:Persuasion to complete the set. >.>)

I'm so excited! New LPs! And I'm going to have SO MANY SURPRISES!

  2. I wouldn't have necessarily picked out caramel in this, it's just a pleasant powdery-soft scent, cool but still cozy. And though I huffed the bejesus out of this, personally I wouldn't be worried about babbling like a fool or anything, haha! I got a little more talkative with my hairdresser than I'd otherwise be, which was nice.

  3. The superfoodie! If you are not down to smell just like food, steer clear. Otherwise, this one is gold: you’ll smell like a warm and buttery oatmeal cookie. I won't lie to you, I was compelled to eat maple oatmeal for breakfast this morning, haha.

Not a massive throw but great wear length; I could still get a hint of it on my wrists 12 hours later.

  4. I forgot about this one and left it in my "to test" box for a long time, but I'm so glad I pulled it out again! The florals are more obvious in the vial, but on me (and on my pillow) the drydown is just soft and fruity and absolutely delicious.

  5. I've never noticed much of a phero effect with this one, although I also can't say I've been watching too closely. But I don't mind at all, because I love the smell of Sneaky Clean! It reminds me of one of LUSH's Easter bath bombs, the Immaculate Eggception -- so much so that I keep thinking, really? There's NO ylang ylang in this?? I suppose I'm just mixing up my florals. Anyway, Sneaky Clean is exactly what you'd want in a clean, "post-bath" blend without the blandness that sometimes goes with a soapy perfume. The scent of SC alone is downright enticing! :)

  6. Aww, who knew Nosferatu was such a romantic? Nothing more classic than roses and chocolate! I'm actually not a huge rose fan in most cases, but this proves an exception. It's elegant but not old-fashioned.

  7. I am starting to lose hope... :(...it has now been a month for me.... :( Mara is making NOCO Pink for me (OCCO w/o the cops) and I guess that is why it has been delayed so long....heading to bed....

I got my notice today for an August 6th order; I think they've just been dealing with about ten million sales orders over there. But you can reach out to LP customer service if you're really concerned! I heard back within 24 hours (and I e-mailed on Labor Day): lpfragrancescustomersrvc@ymail.com

  8. Wow, that is sweet. Holy moly, that is SWEET. Straight-up cotton candy sweet, in an actual little girl way. Yeah. It’s not that I don’t like it, I do, but I can’t see myself wearing this very much. Smelling like a can of pink frosting might just be too much for me.

  9. I understand the comparison upthread to I Scream for Halloween. It's that same butter/cream note... which unfortunately is why this one didn't work out. For some reason this note just consistently smells fake on me (sadly, because I adore foodies). Where it was paired with pumpkin spice in ISfH, in Tasty Tease it comes with caramel at first, then later the chai spices come out. It's not bad but it rings a little flat to me.

  10. This one is a big gorgeous peach (more than any of the other fruit notes) over subtler wood notes (full disclosure: no way can I distinguish between them to say which comes out the strongest!). That makes it a mixed bag for me, as I lovelovelove peach, but I find the wood undertone sort of dull. If you like both, you'll probably be very pleased with A Treasure of Copper. Personally, I do lean toward liking it, as the peach note is by far the most obvious. You can tell something else is there, but you might not know what without reading the description.

Try this if you enjoy BPAL's Diable en Boite-- they share the peach and redwood, and I think it gives a similar vibe. Not middle-of-the-road unisex, but as Luna said, it has an interesting duality.

  11. I'm with hearts and Eggers on this one-- the mango is noticeable, but understated rather than the bold, juicy note you might expect. Sandalwood was a teeny bit shrill, but it eased up over time. Mango Tango isn't overtly floral, and most of the notes roll together smoothly. It's a very palatable scent; I don't think I could find too many people who would object to the way this smells on me. Not an insta-fave, but it's a keeper.

  12. Ahh, god, this smell is my new favorite thing in the world. Herbal and floral and foody and DROOLING FOREVER. Then again, I love the smell of good weed. With fudge too? Dear sweet baby Jesus.

I adore this both in the sample and wet. It has such depth, it's just such a ripe, gorgeous scent. Unfortunately, after maybe half an hour or so, it dries down to basically straight pot-- not quite what I want in a perfume. But really, I don't even care that much, because the first part is so dang good. Reason #3711 why I need a scent locket.

  13. 2010 version: Milk chocolate, definitely. Interesting, this smells sort of boozy to me, not sure what note is giving that impression. On my skin, it loses its chocolate quality and became straight-up cotton with a little vanilla, then over time the balance shifts the other way and vanilla comes out more. It's fine, but it's more of a soft clean scent rather than the sexy one I expected!

  14. Ahh, this is so depressing, everyone's getting some kind of sexy incense and I'm getting smoky barbecue in the sample, then bacon and bubblegum on my skin. Clearly... not for me...

As it dries I get occasional whiffs of vanilla, and they are nice, but they're not enough to save this. Damn.
