I just tried this today and you hit the nail on the head, this is a great scent - one of my faves as i seem to like the tombsy smells as i call them, it smells like a light airy hot cross bun with tons of raisins and currants with a great staying power.

I never expected to like, never mind LOVE ;) this scent..BREAD being listed as a prominent note did not sound too promising. But the idea behind it was appealing.

I forget whether I ordered this as a sample or was it given as a sample in one of my orders but once I decided to try it,there was NO WAY I would be without lots of it. I ordered a bottle immediately.

As noted above, the "bread" note is more of a sweeter, richer bread note..maybe like panettone or that star-shaped Italian holiday bread I can't recall the name of at the moment. The honey note in this is wonderful. (and this is a note that is horrid on me in some other perfumer's formulations.) The incense aspect of the scent is not earthy or headshoppy but definitely ethereal and spiritual in nature.

The wine note in this is not cloying..it is barely detectable to me, to be honest. Maybe that is because I'm used to more highly boozy notes in perfume blends that feature wine as part of the bouquet.

This lasts and lasts on me also...always a notable thing for me since my skin eats scent quickly.

It is a very unusual scent, comforting, peaceful and does indeed evoke higher spiritual feelings for me.

    I love this.

Because of the sale i am trying as many of my samples as i can [half price bottles - can't let that slip past]

Nox is wonderful and now in my top 5, i love the soft berry with a warm comforting smell underneath. I totally agree - it is not a cloying sickening sweet smell but a delicious dark fresh berry scent but i don't have the wind down affect that others mentioned, i get the get up and go feeling when i wear this - although it could just be my excitement of discovering new scents that are true to their descriptions and wonderful [even one - (cleo's blend) i gave a not so good review the other day has grown on me - it has moved from my no pile to maybe pile]

Since there is a great sale going on, i found more body parts and started some more samplin'

I seem to like all of the tomby scents i have tried so far, since i am a newbie the list is short but growing [hathor, sacrament, kemet]

This scent is wonderful on me, as others have said, complex but divine, it is dusky, sweet and sensual. for those that found hator to be nutty or insensy , give this one a try as it is a bit more sweet [lightly floral]. Not only can i not stop smelling myself, it is soothing to cranky children, my almost 2yr old cousin stopped her fit when i walked into the room, crawled into my lap and snuggled in for a nap

I just tried La Boom and Zigeunerwein

La Boom - love it, in the bottle it smells like sweet chocolate, on it goes from fresh chocolate, to milk chocolate, to bittersweet chocolate to dark chocolate, the rasperry is very light and not too discernable - but it keeps the creamy chocalate floating in and out of different versions of chocolate, definitely for chocolate lovers [a good chocolate smell without smelling like a candy bar]

Zigeunerwein - in the bottle it smelled like fresh stomped grapes, real strong wine smell, on the wine smell intensified and i smelled like a wino, then the undertones of dirt (not earth but dirt) came in and i smelled like a dirty wino, not for me, very strong alcoholic smell
