  1. The Sigils landed. My top five have changed.

Velvet and Steel/Bonnie/Gretna Green..now sold out. Boo Hoo

    Revised list as follows:

    One True Love

    Sugared Hay

    Eve of Darkness

    Protection Potion

221B/Steamy Daydreams (depends on the day/setting)

  2. Coconut! I love coconut. I love pecans, all toasty. Citrus..oh my. Delicate sugary dairy.. wait..this is so much like a pastry our local bakery used to serve. I used to stop in before high school began on Wednesday mornings, bought two dozen glazed yeast donuts for our theatre class, and one yummy Gone Nuts pastry with vanilla tangerine glaze (which I ate/snarfed before I arrived at school). This is that pastry, but unbelievably richer. How does that happen?

  3. Dang it! I so do love roses. I grow old antique rose bushes and cannot get enough of them. On my skin this becomes amped into the ozone..perhaps the combo of fruits and roses are having a tift. This one is absolutely going into the new scent lockets. I know this is swoonalicious. If it won't play nice on my skin, then into the beautiful filigree cage it goes. Bwaahahah!

  4. Sample set B has absolutely sent me spinning into the aether (in a good way)! Scents I was certain could never work have become favourites. Scents I was positive would be full bottles..are headed for full bottles. Only one has not worked with my crazy skin. Enter Mara's Scent Lockets to the rescue! Now, I need to narrow down the must haves vs. the want so badlies (is that a word?). This is a near impossible task.

  5. Bless. Sending best wishes and peaceful landings. What did you decide? I was thinking Peaceful Home or Mother Goddess if you have either of those, or Empathy Potion. If you're concerned about scents being off putting to the 'powers that be' (for whatever reason), I'd maybe go with a warm or down to earth scented soap or body wash to mask the phero. All the best to you and yours.

  6. Maililyahn, that is a great idea! Every scent deserves to be celebrated in colour. This gives all sorts of options to add a pop of colour to clothing, or to express a particular element in a perfume, to switch colours seasonally/for holidays, or even to assign the colour one feels the scent of choice represents on any given day. Thank you for suggestioning yet another way to enjoy LPMP!

  7. My order, including Sampler Set B Sigils arrived. Such a beautiful, thoughtful, affirming set of potions. I am going to have an incredibly difficult time choosing full bottles. Time to concentrate on the true intentions of each each scent potion.

Elizabeth, Before I had your Peaceful Home print framed, I traced the entire Sigil with the scent potion. I let it dry turned it over and traced a scented heart shape on the back. All of this whilst repeating the intention. Tomorrow, I should have the print back to hang in our foyer. Thank you, and to Mara and all of LPMP.

  8. I'll take a black glass orb. I had a scent locket in my car during college (got it at at little shop in Chicago's China Town), but it gave up the ghost years ago. So happy to see these! The sun warms the scent and even during the winter the scent carries nicely, so long as the sun shines. You can always put a clip through the bail and attach it to the heat vent uprights. Works like a dream.

  9. Received a sniffy of this little gem. Forgot to review it last week. It stayed truly freshly peach for four hours. Could have sworn I was sitting in the cool grass, leaning against my dad's peach tree. Made me want some peaches in my granola.

  10. Well, I ended up ordering a Sample Set B, a bottle of Road Opener and a (fingers crossed Mara has bayberry) Sugared Bayberry. On Etsy, I ordered the Patience Potion with Balm Bomb. On Amazon, Open Windows goes on the order today. Once the Set B Samples arrive, I'll know whether I have to add to my next order..Protection Potion and yet another 'fingers crossed' Sugared Oats. I ordered a sample of Lucky Lucky Van Oil with the last order and fell hard for that as well. Just have to try the set and see what steals my heart.

  11. By now, it is probably obvious I'm a big clove fan. Last night, with an ice storm pending, I wore Eve of Darkness to bed. About three hours later, I had to take one of the dogs outside. The cloves had faded a bit, so I rolled some Sugared Cloves over the top. It was like adding a drizzle of icing atop the already softened scent. 'Scent' me right back to dream land. This morning, there's the faintest whiff of cloves remains and a warmth lingers. The ice is glaring at me, but I don't care. I'm going to do domestic chores today, and be grateful that I don't need or have to get out in this slickery mess. I may even bake some shortbread and put a clove glaze on top. BAH! Winter, do your worst. This woman is content to start spring cleaning a bit ahead of schedule.

  12. Amalthea, glad to meet you! Painful memory..earache and Grandma's Clove Oil. Great for toothaches, or after pulling teeth for the tooth fairy. Cloves were always associated with comfort and healing..and of course, the kitchen, everything from hams to cookies and breads, to the orange pomanders we placed on the tree at Christmas.

  13. Oh my golly! I am at grandma and grandpa's farm! I grew up in the Midwest and one of my favourite scents is freshly cut hay. I used to sneak up to the hay loft and watch the hay baler in action. On a warm day, the scent would carry in your clothes, and if you were lucky, grandma had hung sheets and cases to dry on the line. You'd drift to sleep in the feather bed with hay-scented breezes on fresh sheets and pillow cases.
