  1. Ladies,

    Ya'll need to watch the movie "Serendipity" :)

    Saw it and to an extent am living it. However, what the fairy tales don't tell you is that they take work--the white charger that the prince rides has to have his stall cleaned and those princely garments need to go to the dry cleaners.

    Can it happen? Sure, and it does every day.

    I don't want to burst anyone's bubble and I am a romantic at heart (maybe that's why 7 Minutes to Midnight works so well for me), but the real work of making the fairy tale last starts after you ride off into the sunset.

    For the on-topic portion of the post, I think Eye of the Storm and Tabby for sure, unsniffed, but need to see some of the notes in the others to totally round out the order. Might also get a spray phero--Ail's Cuddlebunny scented with something.

  2. I'm sorry precious girl! The marriage, while mindnumbing and lonely was nothing compared to the hell of the divorce. I guess my advice is don't ever get divorced! The legal and custody aspects are the parts that raped me! I would probably do a commitment ceremony or something, but I would never get into a legal bond where a judge has the right to decide to decide my future or potentially take my babies ever again. Noody will ever have power like that over me again!

    Could we get descriptions on the JALN scents please?

    Agreed. It was the divorce part that totally sucked ass. I changed my name back and had to take my divorce decree to the power company and have some drone look through it before they'd change my name on the bill. Could change my service address with a phone call, but NOOOOOO, I had to go in and have some mouth-breather yell my social security number across the lobby.

    For an on-topic! Glad I'll be able to buy the old JALN scents through here now. I think I need the Naughty but Nice (I think it's got BI now that SS4W is gone?)

  3. You could pull every toenail out with pliers while sticking an icepick in my ear while making me douche with alcohol while putting little fire ants all over my body and then pouring acid in my eyes before I would do it again.

    Not that you feel that strongly about the issue or anything...... :c352-0016:

  4. If anyone is interested, my PE has sweet Turkish chai, sweet amber, sweet cinnamon, and brown sugar. In a word...sweet! :emot103: I had mine boosted with BI. ;)

    Ok - this is something different from moi.

    I asked them to invoke a moment in time rather than giving them specific notes...

    You dear heart - are on a rug in front of the roaring fireplace, Christmas Candles burning - with your favorite man - smelling the warmth of his shirt, longing to touch his skin...and get that sweater off of him.

    As described to the lovely Mara - it's the smell of Christmas Candles, scent of a roaring fire - and lots of delicious musks that evoke bare, warm and sexy skin. That someone needs to get very, very dirty. :666:

    In perfect world - it's the smell that moves you from cuddled together on the couch to naked on the rug.

    JoAnna and Shelly,

    They both sound lovely! Shelly, you evoked a lovely picture with your words. It sounds very nice, very warm and very sexy. JoAnna, yours sounds sweet but spicy at the same time.

  5. Too Funny! I just sent the info on this to DH and told him that the only thing missing is BACON!

    His reply was "DO NOT order a bottle of this for me!"

    I thought he was more adventurous. Perhaps I will just have to be brave like you SWB, and wear it myself. Kinda like buck lure...

    At least we know it'll smell better than your basic buck lure..... <grin>

    This scent is gonna put a whole new level to the phrase "Hey, you smell good enough to eat".

  6. It smells like a meat FEAST! Steak, potatoes, turkey, stuffing, ham, sausage, garlic, corn...

    Truly a novelty. Shockingly disgusting in the bottle at first sniff, but if you're brave enough to actually put it on your skin, it starts to expand into a warm kitchen full of holiday cooking smells.

    Hmmmmm... I know my guy would be on it if it also had notes of BACON, but sausage and garlic might be enough! Y'know I'll give it a shot!

  7. yeah... the alcohol thing is what has me teetering on that proverbial fence, if I'm struggling this badly then it probably isn't for me

    I personally think it's easier to control application strength with the roller balls. However, since my bottle is boosted, I think it would be interesting to see the difference in reaction based on diffusion. That said, I think I'm going to experiment with boosted scents that I happen to have in multiple bottles (l'm going for it with one of my bottles of Mr. Right).

    I think the scent of PdP is light enough without using the spray but I can definitely see why you're teetering.

  8. oka-a-ay.....caving slo-o-wly....but unsure if I should get P de P boosted in regular form OR spray (OW-1x + 5ml perfume oil) ? need feedback on the pros v. cons, please :D

    Got mine boosted in regular form with BI. Might use one of the kits I'm getting to put it in spray form though.

  9. It makes me happy too. I've been laughing uncontrollably at jokes on the radio while stuck in traffic. I just know the other drivers think I'm some deranged woman. I've also found myself remembering funny things and just laughing out loud at the thought. I am considering purchasing another bottle.

    I don't know if it's the scent or the H&S (I have other things amped with H&S and they don't have this effect) but I am totally digging the experience.

  10. I'm slightly with Pony on this. As fantastic as this smelled fresh on the skin for me (and it did...I thought SCORE!). But alas, the love affair wasn't meant to be. This turned into a strong floral "perfumey" smell on me. I was most distressed. :( My bottle, however, did find a lovely home and will be most happy, I'm sure.

    I'll take very good care of your bottle and will think happy thoughts each time I put some of it on. It makes me HAPPY!

  11. Yep was a two bottle for me as well...even before sniffing. I knew it would fly off the shelves.

    I agree with the descriptions. This is lovely...I do get the florals and lucky for me it is not heavy floral. It is not cloying, IMO, it is soft and more or less a come in closer scent. I do have to refresh though as this one does not last on me ( I did not try it with my D5 though, so that may make a difference for me). Lovely enough that I do not mind refreshing. Plus, I love anything with Heart and Soul. Yes, I can see this easily as a daytime scent...which I love because I do not have enough of them.

    Great job on this one ladies.

    be blessed -djac

    Totally agree. I'm thinking it'll be even lovelier as a spray since that will help to fix the scent so maybe that would solve the refresh problem too. I've got two spray kits coming so I think I'll use one on this and see what happens.

  12. Spray! I have ordered way too many! I think I have ordered:

    Cougar 2x in gemini scent

    Open WIndows 2x in Boardwalk

    Cougar 2x Good Witch

    Intellectual Woman 1x in Nox

    Heart & Soul 1x with Seven Minutes til Midnight which I hope will be the equivalent of 2x h&s

    Drop Your Guard 2x in Pomme De Poisin

    BAM 3x Sandalwood and Resins

    And about six sprays to load my old favorite Lp's into!

    Cool beans! I've ordered a couple of spray kits--thinking that it'll help with the diffusion of those scents I have already amped. I think that PdeP will be great in a spray!

  13. Love love LOVE Salem, although I've never been there at the height of their tourist season (i.e. Halloween). But yeah, that's one place where the Haunted New England vibe is very strong, IMO. Steph I'm jealous that you lived in Boston except for the crazy frozen water part, heh.

    It was a good experience--met some good people, as you know. In the Midwest now though so haven't avoided the crazy frozen water. Salem anytime is fantastic but the crazy season--the vibe is just rockin'--good people, having fun. And the pet costume contest on the commons is a blast!!

    Yep.... that's IT exactly ! wearing it again today, SP too !

    Been wearing P de P all day and am loving it. It's light but persistent. Kudos to the ladies for this one!

  14. SWB, are you originaly from New England ?

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------

    but I digress.....back to Pomme de Poison

    Nope, but I lived in Boston for several years and LOVE the vibe in Salem--I used to go up at least once a month and do the rounds of the shops.

    To put this reply on-topic, this scent would be the perfect New England, Salem scent. It's very fall, with a hint of apples but not APPLE. It's not sweet, but has a nice underscent. More like a woody fruit--not juicy but ripe and has a good crunch and flavor and leaves you wanting more, if that makes any sense at all.

  15. WOW !! not at all what I expected, in fact I didn't even plan on sniffing it, apple isn't my thing (unless it's green apple).

    In any case, I went on a day trip to Salem, MA (had a BLAST ! Cheezie YOU would LUV it there), thought I grabbed Sassy Sibylia sample to take and dab in the car....I didn't, it was Pomme de Poison (crap).

    So I tried a sniff of Pomme de Poison, hated it....a few minutes later, sniffed again, hmmm... it's o-kaaay, I kept sniffing it and eventually I started dabbing it every where and the others in the car were asking oooh...what is that ? smells great !

    The apple is light but it's a teasing kind of light, I can smell the fig, pumpkin and amber combo, or I think I can, I wasn't sure of the other ingredients, I only know that the apple in this is enticing (very much like the label)

    think I want..NO NEED a full bottle of this !

    I can't believe how much my nose/tastes have change, scents I would normally pass on are now some of my likes, no doubt the expertise and magickal blending has made a huge influence on me.

    I still can't review as nicely as many of you here but I really like this one. Very NICELY done !

    Great to hear! I got a full bottle unsniffed because Ail had a hand in its creation.

    I'm totally envious of your day trip to Salem--I lived in Boston for several years and made the pilgrimage every fall. It's one of the things I really miss about living in there!

  16. *snickers from the Naughty Corner*

    I'm the annoying type of reviewer who has to experience things one at a time, I will be posting about Skelly Head Flambe today but otherwise it's going to take me a while to seriously describe them.

    djac: Shelly can't fully commit to me, I'm a very High Maintenance kind of mistress.

    I think I'm going to try Sassy Sibylia today. I'm like you Luna, have to go one at a time even though I'd love to slather different ones on; I think I'd get confused as to which is what.

  17. This was a definite 2 bottle purchase for me. It smells slightly floral and a bit wood in the vial. Immediately upon application, the woodiness goes away, and you are left with an elegant perfume that is complex but light. It is floral, but not screaming, and there is depth, I am assuming that is the pumpkin. It is lovely and a perfect choice for work or every day. I ADORE it and look forward to seeing client response to it at work.

    I'm with you on that. As much as I love my other scents, like Mr. Right (and I always get complements on Mr. Right), I just didn't have a good one for everyday/work appropriate. I went with a few bottles on this one as well.

    7 Minutes to Midnight

    Across the ballroom, you see him. Your eyes meet. Your breath catches in your throat. Your heart races. He is The One. But the Ball ends at midnight and the magic goes with it. Seven minutes to win his heart. Just time enough for one fateful dance - fingers entwined, breath mingled, the feel of his body heat radiating around you. Seven minutes that could fill your hearts with the music of love...a symphony that lasts forever. How does one make an impression like that - one that will haunt a person's dreams for a lifetime - in mere moments?

    Magickal Meanings of Ingredients:
    WOODS ~ Enhances perception of beauty, love, sensuality, money, luck, hex-breaking.
    AMBER ~ Fertility, luck, riches, sensuality.
    MUSK ~ Self confidence and strength, sexual attractant, heightens passions and arousal.
    PUMPKIN ~ Fertility, plenty, abundance, prosperity, male sexual stimulant. AIL'S HEART & SOUL PHERO BLEND ~ Estratetreanol, Beta-Androstenol, Alpha-Androstenol, Androsterone, Epi-Androsterone.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    I put this on and immediately fell in love with it. It is light, very light, but complex. It's not foody or spicy but I can detect the pumpkin just underneath. There's some of oriental floral but it's not a screaming floral either (which I can't stand). I feel more feminine wearing it and the Heart and Soul probably helps with that. This could be (and for me, probably will be) an lovely every day scent but is also enough to wear out for an evening. I'm going to get the spray kit and will put one bottle in spray form for better diffusion. It's a very sophisticated scent. Like Luna said, it's not what I expected but I'm overjoyed and immediately bought a few more bottles.
