I tested this one over two days.

 

Sugar Plum Fae smells like sugar and plums in the bottle. When I put this on I got a mix of rose and sugar. I didn't smell the plum as I did in the bottle. The fragrance is very delicate and feminine. It smells evenly blended or at least my skin allows me to smell everything in this at one time. It's a really nice fragrance that kind of reminds me of commercial perfume. When it died down it died down into something really pretty, but almost imperceptible on me. I reapplied and others told me I smelled of a sweet-musk. It doesn't seem to last that long on my skin.

I have a sample of this one but haven't had the time to test it out yet...

I like this but I keep forgetting to put it on before putting my clothes on. The brown color is a bit too strong and it keeps getting on my clothes.

Luckily I don't care that much but my boyfriend makes fun of me.

This one is dark and stains as Mara and others have mentioned.

I mentioned this a while back but I added some BAM to it and it smelled really good after that.

Stalk the trade pages because that is where I picked up my bottle, it’s a very yummy blend and since I was looking for another chocolate blend that would satisfy me since I’m almost out of Odalisque, I grabbed this one when it was available.

 

Obviously this is a completely different chocolate note than is in Odalisque but the staying power of this on my skin is amazing and I use this in conjunction with AVV to get more of the vanilla going…

I just did not smell anything. My skin chemistry is weird sometimes.

Oidhche Shamhna smells sweet like nommy cookies. I get whiffs of some rich and creamy chocolate and a little bit of caramel. I'm going to need more of this...unfortunately I think it's sold out!

I got a sample of this a while back. I must say this is very fruity and sweet on my skin.

On first application I smell wonderful sweet pears with a touch of spices, maybe it's the cinnamon and nutmeg. On drydown it's lovely sweet and fruity.

This reminds me of another LP blend which I cannot remember the name of right now.

I'm guessing by later tonight or early tomorrow we might see something...

Would like to hear that maybe there is a possibilty of a rebrew in the near future as well...if possible?

This is one I have for magical potion intent only.... I would never wear this out and about....The notes in this are very nutty but a light nutty, I have only worn this once and I have not seen any effects but I want to try it out again

I would love to know when u retest it if you saw any effects.

I know, I'm very happy that this is on the permanent list as well, I really love the staying power of this one...

I wore this to work today. I utterly adore it. The coconut comes through beautifully, and the scent is wonderfully fresh and clean with a sexy edge to it. Notes in this remind me of imperial leather.

This sounds like something I might like.

Got some Drop Your Guard in a trade. It's so fun! I put some on before a dr's appt, hoping the dr would really talk to me. He did, even stayed to do my bloodwork himself. But with my girlfriend that I was hanging out with before the appt, we were both super chatty and agreeable. We always get along but this was just different. Like neither of us could wait to tell the other one the next "thing" I am sad this is sold out and will treasure my 1/2 bottle.

Trying to be patient but everytime someone posts here it's like

It depends. Some stuff ripens or blooms more with age and some stuff mellows. So if it was the part that mellows that you really loved then you would think it was getting worse. For example my beloved Flying Potion was all marshmallow when it was first released, now the marshmallow is fading and the other notes are more forward. It's still really pretty but it's not what I fell in love with.

I'm still learning, but there seems to be something to the aging. Or my nose getting used to the sophisticated scents that Mara and her talented people create!

I think some have a shelf life of 5, 6 or 7 years, or something like that?

Of course everything has to be kept in a cool, dry place too.

Yes but it used to be the end of the month BEFORE the month that they were for for, for example May's releases used to be released the last week of April. That's why I said they have been moved back a few weeks. Make sense?

This one, for me at least, IS very aromatic and noticeable...not a knock you over in a bad way though...it's like becoming a tasty treat and everyone you walk by WILL turn to try to figure out where that yummy smell is coming from. People go NUTS over it when I wear it. You should at least try the sample if you think you'll like it. For me, the ginger is like a "gingersnap" on me, like that delicious cinnamon butter vanilla cream cookie goodness I ALWAYS slather this one

It can really vary depending on how busy Mara is. It used to be the last week of the month for a long time but it's gotten pushed back a bit in recent months.

I had this same thing happen with Sex and Violins. Identically, lol, the "not for me" but then just put a dab on last weekend from one and was like, "wow, this is really nice" Go figure! Does this mean we should just buy fbs of everything cuz we're just going to love everything anyway?!

Don't most oils age better with time in general?

That's a great question because I had always thought it would be the beginning of the month but it seems it can be anywhere from a week to 2 weeks into the month. But Mara's been super busy lately so maybe that isn't the norm? Could more seasoned LPers shed some light on this?
