  1. I say if at first, you don't succeed, try it with Aja!
  2. Such a lovely jasmine. The sugar sweetens & softens it to make it modern/youthful.
  3. Wow, I'm late to the party on this review, lol. I found LP O had a similar effect when I waitressed with it on, no pheros. So if you read this; try using LP O or one of the variants on phero breaks. I haven't been using pheros much, I think I'm gonna drop some OW bombs this weekend!
  4. This is the best jasmine perfume I've ever smelled.
  5. It actually turned into something gorgeous by the time that I got to bed, but the apple-spearmint amped for such a long time on my skin. The beginning was pleasant, just not a "Beccah" scent, but if I could get the end result the whole time I wore it, then I would be all over this.
  6. Well, I'm not sure what to make of this one. It smells really nice & I keep sniffing wrist, but the apple, maybe because of the spearmint, is tricking my nose into assuming there is a cinnamon note hiding somewhere in this. My brain keeps translating this one into a potpourri type of scent.
  7. Too naughty for me, I'm not sure if there is civet in this, but I'm getting a strong note of indole wafting with the florals. This would probably smell lovely on someone that has a chemistry that does well w/ the animalics.
  8. Yes, Saffron Swoon is worthy of the name! Warmly sweet w/ a tinge of amber, & a slight booziness? Might I be reading that from the combo of vanilla & resins? Idk, but Saffron Swoon is an exotic delight to my nose! ETA: Also, if a man wore this, I would probably attach to him like static cling. Don't let the notes or the name fool you, this would read like a sexy vanilla pipe tobacco scent on a man.
  9. The massage butters are awesome. I love to use them as my night-time hand treatment. My hands stay so soft, all the following day.
  10. What an unexpected combination of notes. The florals are preventing Melissa Joy from turning into incense. The Egyptian musk will not bow to the florals so both aspects are front & center. The overall scent comes out to be very exotic & wearable for summer. Also, the tiniest of dabs goes a very long way. I think a full bottle of Melissa Joy will be at least a year's supply. Update: This just gets better as the day wears on.
  11. The Wayward Sisters are very well blended. It's hard to pick out a single note with this one. I'm getting a perfume that's got a warm sweetness w/ a touch of spice, the jasmine shimmers in & out, whilst tuberose is a quiet pervasive presence minding her business in the background.
  12. I like Sultry Kitten it's an SLF but if there's civet in here it's being tempered very well. Normally this type of scent gets too dirty w/my skin's chemistry, but Sultry Kitten is behaving very nicely. I still wouldn't wear a scent like this at random but it smells so nice I might wear it somewhere other than I should.
  13. Tender Seduction comes off as a very classic, yet elegant floral. Thankfully with that LP touch that keeps things from going in the dreaded "old lady" direction.
  14. Well, I didn't think that Lilly of the Valley could go in a sexy direction. I usually think of it as an innocuous white floral, that's safe for work & minds its own business. Hot Memphis Nights manages to capture the hazy way the flowers smell during humid summer nights. Like they smell a bit extra. The white Lilly is there but it's a bit sweeter & extra, giving it a less than an innocent aura.
  15. I went for this one first with the private editions because of my intense dislike of black licorice, especially this kind. This is the PE that I especially want to give a fair shot, lol. In the vial, it smells exactly like that horrible candy. This makes it hard for me to get past because I have a strong sense of smell/taste, but I persevered & applied to my skin. On my skin, the black licorice decided to aggressively amp up & I was feeling slightly nauseous, but at last the breezy sea note broke free to rescue my nose! Indeed, Doppelsalz ultimately becomes an aquatic w/ an herbal tinge. I think this would smell really nice on a man. For me, I personally can't get past the initial blast of that candy because of how intensely I dislike it, but I would like Doppelsalz if I could remove that first part of it.
  16. I unearthed this when I was going through a box in my closet. I can tell the soap is really high-quality w/ a high glycerin content. I find it to be very moisturizing & my skin is extra soft after I use this soap formula.
  17. Well, I almost forgot the power of BANG! Wore this today & I had men rubber necking me at the grocery store. All the male grocery store clerks kept stopping by to check on me, & I had one make a full round of the store, after asking if I needed any help, then come by & ask me again. Better avoid this one at the grocery store in the future, lest anyone think I'm shoplifting from all the attention I keep getting from the staff!
  18. The name means Double Salt, and I made this for a customer who "likes interesting smells" It came to me that sea water and licorice would make a really cool combo, and maybe be like double salted licorice - which tastes awful but smells great. So for this I used anise oil and black licorice extract on a bed of white musk, and blended that with a mix of sea weed and ozone. The result is quite wonderful and more perfumey than you might expect. A salty musk with a splash of licorice on top. Definitely unisex, clean, slightly aquatic. A unique summer blend!
  19. Yummmmm!!! An ultra delicious potion crafted of ingredients that represent fertility, verility, and mother goddess energy. Spicy pumpkin, syrupy sweet mission fig, deliciously round buttercream, and a splash of almond. There's a kind of misty, smokey aura to it, not quite as sweet as you might imagine, and 100% yum!
  20. Sophia presents Act II of her Macbeth series this month, a bewitching brew featuring the glamorous Tuberose, sharing the stage with the more demure but just as lovely, Jasmine! Supporting players include Bourbon Vanilla and Cardamom EO! This will get anyone's cauldron bubbling!
  21. THREE requests for jasmine PEs this month made me realize I was neglecting this beautiful blossom (and inspired me to craft Jasmine Whisper for the NRs). Donna's vision is of a soft and velvety blend of jasmine and ylang ylang, over non-foody vanilla and powdered sugar. A powdery summer creation akin to cool silk lingerie!
  22. Sultry Kitten leans a little more 'come hither' in her approach. We start again with a base of ambergris and other assorted animalic musks but for this version we feature the combination of ylang ylang and orange blossom, sweeten it with sugared vanilla and sex it up with honeycomb and AJA! Mrrrrow!
  23. Black Cat's 2 adorable kittens of the month are from the same litter. What started as one idea became two! Love Kitten starts with a base of ambergris and other assorted animalic musks, made lovably fluffy and round with little drops of neroli and ylang ylang EO, then spectacularly crowned with a tiara of sweet jasmine attar. Fluffy love in a bottle!
  24. Don is another local model! Nope, he and Melissa had no idea the other came in for a perfume, just coincidence, tho they do know each other. And let me tell you, every time he walks into the shop, all the girls go weak in the knees. Serious hottie. ok, ok, stop being distracted, ahem. Don asked for a scent based around Acai berry, and what we came up with is a gorgeous unisex perfume with velvety musky Myrrh as a base, the slightly tart (and not too sweet) Acai berry under the spotlight, and a tiny smidge of peppery orange blossom on the side. Hoxergy is Don's word, and he pronounces it like Honor-gy. A combination of Honor and Integrity.
  25. This is Memphis, Madeleine's handsome tomcat. With smoldering intensity, his masked eyes bore right into your soul and take you on a trip to the heady and humid south for which he is named... Dewy lily of the valley over a cloud of sweetened musks and a humid tropical rain accord, plus a splash of Hedione. Memphis, take me away!
