@ bumbob- That is a really pretty diffuser. I always wanted one, I used to use Young Living essential oils but they are too expensive for me. I do buy from Rocky Mountain Oils sometimes and they are very nicely priced. But these are just single essential oils that I use for therapeutic and health benefits. They also sell really nice vaporizer diffusers I believe, but this one you found looks relaxing with the light glow it gives off, thanks for sharing. I haven't really been into essential oils ever since I found LP, it's more practical because they all smell divine AND make me happy and relaxed from the pheros and I use them almost every day unlike the essential oils. I don't collect many EO's anymore except the ones I use for my skin care. Anyway, hopefully you can find one that your Dad will feel more at ease : )

 

@ Luna- I didn't know Michaels ' sold them, I'll have to check it out, thanks. The reason I started this topic is because I have one and I wasn't sure if I was using it correctly. I have the ceramic one where you put the tea light inside. I found out yesterday that I have been using cheapo oils/melts and thats why it's been smelling wonky. I also found out that the flame should not be touching the bottom of the bowl so I tested it out last night and for about a 1/2 hour into it the flame was just under it, everything was smelling good, then it started to smell like something else was burning tho. I checked the flame and it looked tall and somehow suctioned to the bottom curve of the bowl. I blew it out and found some black ashy, waxy film covering the bottom of the bowl and got some off with a razor but only a bit because my hand doesn't fit. So I think that's what might have been making it smell weird (and because I wasn't' using good quality melts). Has anyone else had any problems with theirs? I have no idea why the flame got so big, maybe because there was no air movement and heat rises so it just grew? Hmmmm.......... it just really bothers me because it'll smell so good and then turns into a wierd smell like someone is burning something they shouldn't be and that smell lingers .

maybe try snipping the wick in the tea light to a shorter lenght/height?

Fawn, I think I will have them avail for order around the middle of the week. I'm still making them, still making labels for them, and still have to program the cart, so prob around Wednesday I'm thinking.

 

Yup, they are in plastic containers, and if you live in a warm climate, you might want to keep them in the fridge.

I'm burning that one now, w/Focus Potion. I added a touch of Frankincense and Myrrh to create a little bit of bottom for the scent. As I anticipated, the lightness of the minty ingredients is not as strong in the air as the heavier resinous ones, but there's enough in the air so that I can taste the minty-ness and feel it in my sinuses. I used organic essential oils for the Rosemary, Eucalyptus and Peppermint; the F&M, Lavender and Grass are candle oils. It smells delicate and lovely, and not as intense as Winter Woody or LP Black. I expect that the minty part will burn off faster than the resinous part of the scent.

Honeybee, I will be offering a couple of mixed batches, but the sets are pretty small and inexpensive anyway. This whole exercise is a test. I think I'll sell them in larger batches if we continue them in the future.

That's a really interesting idea. What do you think about adding to that a little scent of fresh cut grass and maybe a drop of lavender to really create a *spa* kind of feel?

It is closer to Celestial Dream, only not as sweet to me. I really amp the cinnamon is JoAnna's Xmas Candy, this is softer. I have been alternating between the two for days now...lol

This stuff is the bomb for dry, chapped, cracked, sore cuticles & hands !!!

Mara you truely are a generous soul. Today I received a package from another perfume company, what a dissapointment! (shakes empty upsidedown box) Inside was the bottle I ordered & 2 sniffees of their other scents.

This was more of a fun purchase, as the scent is named after a famous NJ Ledgend. It smells nice and I enjoy it, but I have not received the WOW you smell so good comment that I get with my most beloved LP's (subliminal message for constant craving)

Tyvey, I stink at discriptions but, I got a bottle & love it !! I tried it before bed, strong spiciness when wet...soft on drydown, still present in the morning. I am going to wear this again tonight. I am so glad I got a bottle at the last minute

Haven't tried it with PP, but I have worn a TON of OW, with no OD effects.....my beta is 2X, and is scented with Constant Cravings.....

I love my OW too Dolly...but yours is mixed in my most fav potion of all time, I am down to percious few drops.
