  1. This was one I was sad to have missed.. for the honeysuckle, the intent and the label

Me too, I missed this one. I hesitated because of the honeysuckle. I was about to order the last bottle and it was gone the next day.

  2. I so wanted LP Red to work for me, but as much as I love cinnamon in food or as a home scent, I just can't wear it on my skin. ( Amps like CRAZY! I have the same prob with certain Vanillas). Good ideas here. I have a trial vial from years ago that I had sort of written off. Maybe I can play with it and blend with something else to quiet that cinnamon right on down. MAYBE... just maybe, some Phero Girl with it?

What about something sweet or vanilla? Pherogirl turns out as floral baby talcum on my skin and I'm uncertain if it will make Red better on my skin.

  3. OMG really?!?! I just swiped on some LP Red for the heck of it. It's usually too spicy and I'm about to shower anyway. And.... It actually is behaving? It smells sweet and creamy but delicious! My scent chemistry must be on point today because this smells good! Usually it's soooo spicy it stings my throat and tends to go incensey. Maybe Im finally getting used to it? ... Idk but I need to keep testing this because it smells really amazing today - so weird!

I think you are just getting bit by the LP Red bug! It took me and a few others here a while to get it for some reason. I didn't buy my first bottle until a whole year after I tried it! Then I got another sample and couldn't believe I didn't love it when I first tried it! Now it is a staple of course.

Me too, I didn't like it at the beginning. It was simply too spicy when I got my first sample. I returned to the sample a could of months later and fell in love with it, particularly when I use it with OCCO Red. I haven't used it as often as I like but I make sure I don't run out of it.

  4. I really can't decide on this one. I didn't like it one bit when I first receive this. It was the floral aspect which turned me off. I retested this a couple of nights ago and wore this to work today. It's very light and sophiscated and I like it. I can imagine wearing this now and a few years down the road. This is so light and has minimal throw as noted above and I foresee that I will refresh more often than most of my fruit and floral scents.

  5. I thought LP Red has apricot too though?

I have never tried Red Lace as I took it for granted that it was LP Red with Lace. A while back, I added a dab of Sugared Apricots to LP Red. It makes it sweeter and a different dimension to the scent, just as adding OCCO Red does but in different direction.

  6. Joc, I think you were the one that told me to use SWS for interviewing and WOW, it really helped, so I knew I had to have it...

I have had Honeyed LP on my FB list for awhile and I was happy that I lucked out a few were left for the sale for me to purchase....

I like to use SWS at work but I'm pretty sure many ladies advised you to use that for your interview.

With the NRs, I'll have to look through my notes on what I really need. I hope I do not need to change my freebie list as a result. I really don't want to make it difficult for the elves at LP.

I really don't mind getting the full set but the shipping cost is going to cost me a bomb. Gotta find out if anyone if heading out here recently.

  7. Congrats! Where and who will you be driving on your first trip?

I took a spin the very night I passed my test (as our license is issued immediately). A few non regular driver girlfriends came over to my place and we went out for late night supper. Guess what? I was so nervous and excited that I didn't switch on the headlights! I could do that as our streets are very well lit from 7pm to 7am each day.

  8. Hi Blackcat! Welcome to the forum!

I rely heavily on the product reviews to buy full bottles unsniffed. I'm really bad at with my own reviews though. As I'm very much a fruity, flora and musk lover and as the way these perfumes turn out differently due to skin chemistry, I tend to look up to a few ladies' reviews to make my purchase decisions.

I have a huge but narrow collection as I tend to hoard items which I enjoy. This is just my shopping habit. I used to guard my spare bottles very carefully, worried of using them up but I think I have loosen up quite a bit recently. As your collection grows, you will realize that it takes a while to finish a bottle. I read in a thread that if you continously use a single LP bottle, it should last you about a month or so.

New scents are released every month and like some ladies say, there's always new scents which they will fall in love with. Rare gems can be found on the trade lists here and I used to camp there, pressing the refresh button every couple of minutes.

Most importantly, have plenty of fun!

  9. Although the weather is hot and humid all year around, you mentioned that you rarely stand near him unless you have to work with him and assuming that your work area is indoors and in office building s with decent air-conditioning services, I'd go with 60/40 or even 100% alcohol.

What did you finally get at the sale? You're here at the right time. Enjoy your arsenal and remember to report back!

  10. On wet, Insight Potion kept creeping into my mind, perhaps it's the pecan. I'm glad that I don't amp the sesame as sesame oil is a staple in my diet. After dry down, it becomes a slightly sweet musky scent. Interesting. Will need a bottle for its intent.

  11. Like Maiea, I ordered this out of curiosity of its intent, hoping that I could wear it. I tested it very lightly last night. It is extremely masculine and I doubt I will leave home wearing this. However, I really like the scent. I kept sniffing my arm. On me, it was green, earthy, woodsy and a little smoke undercurrent. I'd love to smell this on a man though. I'm undecided if I will get a bottle for now.

  12. How do you both find the throw in oils during cold weather?

Most of my UNs are in oil. I love using UN SWS, SS4W and PP and this have them in silicone and 100% alcohol for layering. I don't have a problem with the throw of oils in cold weather. I still wear about the same amount all four seasons although I must say that I wear cops and pheros less often in summer as its an average of 40C out here in the day. Indoor a/c are not at full blast due to the restriction set by the government so the sweat stench in some indoor places can be overpowering and I dont want to be "hit" by my pheros all day long.

Anyway, if you need more throw, perhaps you can consider using slightly less oil and add a spray of alcohol.
