  1. My two bottles of MRF have been sitting in my spare box of scents for close to two months now. That's because I like to use up my sniffees and samples before hitting the bottles.

I caved in because when I tested Mark's Tonka Tobaccum (sp?) last night and I noted that it was similar to MRF. Don't stone me .... that was how it turned out on me. I decided to ditch the practice to leave spare bottles untouched and I wore both of them and headed off to the spa this morning.

I smelled very much like a semi-burnt cookie with the re-brew and the original had some sweetness/pinkness in it. The other thing which I noticed was that the re-brew was more lasting and eight hours later, I was left a honey trail while the original has disappeared.

Verdict: (1) I like both of them & (2) my beautician definitely didn't like as she raved about MWO throughtout my facial previously and she didn't say a word today.

  2. I'll for sure review the problem scents again once I order it, hope it works!

Oh yeah those OCCO's all sound so good. Haven't tried them yet but sometime in the future I want the sample pack to try a bit of each and then try layering too. Did the CPS tone down the sweetness for the AVV for you you?

I haven't tried CPS yet. As it will create a barrier on the skin, I read on the forum, it will help the fragrance to stay true so your issue might be resolved but I might be wrong. Do a little search or post your issue to cast for a wider response.

I intend to use CPS to stop the honey from coming in contact with my skin and thus avoid the stinky skin effect. As for my AVV, it's relatively untouched so it's going to my daughter.

You should try the OCCO some day if you don't mind using cops. I ordered the entire range as part of my first order but I only started using them recently. Sometimes I use them solo and on other days, they go under my scents. A sampler kit will definitely be helpful to you.

  3. Hey JOC thank you so much for the tip, I actually bought a sample of AVV for that purpose but have realized that some type of vanilla (I think?) go plasticky on me. It's a very yummy vanilla scent at first and then turns into something that doesn't even smell like perfume but instead like some sort of plastic object has been rubbed on my arm. So with Tahitian Temptress I smell like a plastic mango ;) This also happened extremely bad in Fallen Angel, I loved that one wet but it's just so off on me. I will keep trying to find a vanilla based scent that likes me because vanilla is my FAVORITE and I agree that if I layered it with Tahitian T. it would be heavenly. I bought a bunch of new scents from the sale so hopefully I can use something with it. I'll post if find something in case anyone else has the same prob.

Try applying a layer of CPS before the scents. I have a bottle on its way to me as certain honey leaves an awful scent on my skin and it cannot be removed no matter how I scrub the application site.

I have never been a vanilla fan but I'm begining to like it since I started using LP scents in June. I find AVV sweet, perhaps too sweet for my liking so it'll have to be layered under something. I love the way OCCO White smells. I'm uncertain if this will help you resolve the problem and if you want to wear cops.

I've been lucky (or I may have been ignorant) that I do not have the plastic issue. Good luck!

  4. Unfortunately on my skin all I can smell is the mango, thats it. It is extremely sweet on me, way too sweet.

Perhaps you can trying layering it with something such as vanilla to soften the sweetness?

  5. I purchased a bottle in summer and it's still sitting in my box as I have a sample to test out. I haven't worn this scent out of the house. From the sample, I know that this scent will work on me. It turned powdery and I don't have a problem as Queen of Powder.

I've got to give the scent another go and this time, it'll be outside the house!

  6. Nah, knowing where you're from it's not that shocking. :pumpkin:

    You're sooooo understanding ......

    :surprised:

BTW, I like the cold smooth mashed pumpkin they serve in the Korean restuarants. I usually finish up my kids' servings.

The other thing which I have escaped from is carrot cake. I'm old school. The good old chocolate cake will do fine for me. Tell me what I've been missing all my life .........

  7. & don't forget they are just AWESOME, lol. @ JOC do you have a sample of Carolyn's Man Nip, there's a bit of pumpkin in that one. Pumpkin fall scents also (in general) smell like pumpkin pie.

No, I don't have Carolyn's Man Nip. Back home, we do not eat pumpkin on a regular basis. I get lots of this here and while I was living in Seoul. Maybe it's the weather.

As for pumpkin pie, hmmm, I haven't tasted one .... (I can see you guys shaking your heads, rolling your eyes in disbelief and even falling off your chairs) ... I don't care for warm dessert (apple cinnamon, apple pie, crepe, etc) as I prefer ice-cream or cakes if I want a dessert.

  8. I bought a bottle unsniffed and I tested my large sample this evening. I think this one does not work for me. I'll have another go with my sample and if it does not work out well, it'll probably go to my trade list. So sad .....

I had to try this again tonight and I applied Cougar on my other arm for comparison.

This reminds me of Vampire Bait which I didn't quite like. I guess the citrus and cream combo doesn't work on me. Cougar on the otherhand was very much brighter at application.

My unopened bottle and sample will is heading towards my trade post.
