  1. Well it's not the brain, after all, it's the way culture informs and imprints on the brain. But I've been fortunate to know people from all walks of life and treasure the differences in those I encounter; it's one aspect of the Internet I thoroughly enjoy.

Yes, having the internet is, so far, the best thing that has happened in my life.

  2. Here's an update on the EoW situation in my house. I applied 2 stripes of 3" of EoW on my arm (in my bathroom) and my son, who was in my bedroom, asked where the stench came from. Twenty minutes later and with a cover, he still asked why the room was so smelly.

A few days later, I was alone at home and decided to test the EoW again. I turned on the fan to help the dry down process. I applied a cover scent thinking that it's completely safe. Then the bathroom was 'properly ventilated'. My kids identified the scent the moment they came home.

EoW is now officially known as the caterpillar perfume in my family. I'll either add a couple of drops of EoW into my scents, leave the job to the capable hands of Mara or depend on my OCCOs, LAM and BAM.

Oh by the way, EoW doesn't smell that bad to me.

  3. I find this scent interesting. It's like an onion, i.e. multiple layers. On application, there was some sort of lemony and flora scent. Then the vanilla and cinnamon slowly creeped to the foreground. However, this is not a scent for me.

  4. Another scent which I didn't want to try due to the presence of coconut and mango. A giant bottle of Coppertone suntan oil or glass of pina colada (with an orchid and a mini paper umbrella) walking around, no way ......

Christine's Tropical Musk convinced me to give this a try. IMO this smelled extremely sweet and loud. 20 minutes later it mellowed down tremendously. Yes, I like this. I'll probably wear this during the weekends or for casual gatherings.

  5. Lovely musky coconut; wet there is a certain watery freshness from the bamboo, not exactly green, just like fresh water, but on me that quickly fades and the coconutty musk, with a hint of pineapple comes and and just takes me away on vactaion.

I was not keen on this one due to the coconut and pineapple content. I don't want to smell like a bottle of suntan lotion or pina colada.

The colour of the fragrance caught my eye (my assumption isthe lighter the colour of the fragrance, the lighter/fresher the scent is). It smelled so soft and 'cozy' that I decided to slather on before going to bed. I love it for its lightness and I didn't detect the 'green' component.

Yes, although this will not become my signature fragrance but it is something which I would like to use so 2 full bottles coming my way!

  6. Well, not every scent works for every person.....some will work with your chemistry, and some just will not....

So, with the gold you couldn't stop huffing yourself but then it turned "repulsive"? I didn't quite understand what you were saying.....just remember that these scents are HEAVY on the copulins, which STINK. If you wear an OCCO and the scent wears down for whatever reason, you may smell cops lingering.....

Totally aware that not every scent works for every one and the body/skin chemistry thingy.

Re the 'repulsive scent', I hit the "Add Reply" button too quickly.

I applied OCCO Gold at 6pm last night and it smelled perfect thr' the evening. The faint 'repulsive' scent appeared the next day.

I don't think it came from the cops as I don't have any problem with neat EoW, UN BI, other OCCOs or other cops products I have. I'm just wondering if it came from the honey as I get this from Shelly's Lascivious Peach about 3 hours after initial application.

  7. IMO:

OCCO Pink - sweet and lovely. Reminds me of a young bubbly girl.

OCCO Red - sweet cinnamon scent. Nice but I'm not (at the moment) a foody scent addict. Will try it again when the opportunity arise.

OCCO Black - I really didn't like this at the first go. The Indian musk was way too strong. I gave it a good shake before applying the next time and it's much sweeter and 'rounder'.

OCCO Purple - hmmmm ..... nice. Turns powdery and this can work well on its own on my skin or under other scents.

OCCO White - vanilla, vanilla, vanilla. Something which I have to get used to. Will give it a try again.

OCCO Gold - so this is how honey smells, huh? I like it and I couldn't stop huffing at my own arm however I get a weird and replusive scent on the place where I applied OCCO Gold. Will the coffee soap clean this smell off?

OCCO Green - smells better in the bottle than on my skin. Flora and strong chemical scent on my skin. Will definitely have to put in under some scents to cover the scent.

    OCCO Blue - I don't like this and I don't know why.

  8. I have been ignoring my bottle of 60/40 UN BI for a while due to the numerous posts on how it stinks.

As I finished my dinner early (and the kids were still eating), I decided to give the UN BI a go. I couldn't decide whether to apply it in my bedroom or bathroom but in the end I did it in the bathroom.

The good news (or bad news) is that I can barely smell it on my arm. I look forward to trying this out the next time I go out for dinner.
