  2. I am on vacation spending my time in Montana at a lakefront house looking up archived fragrances in a total state of anxiety. WTF is wrong with me? I am supposed to be relaxing!

  3. I am convinced that this decade is responsible for the hole in the ozone. How much Final Net hair spray did we all use? Remember dreading rain because your hair would turn into a glob of goo? The big perms..The big everything. Ugh!

OMG I'd forgotten how my hair would glob!!! And when I'd scrunch it up again, my *hands* would be all globbed! :w00t:

I don't remember King Cobra but I remember White Snake from the 80s and last night..

    Smartass puppy. :kiss43:

I didn't have big hair in the 80s. I did have a sort of mullet though, for about a year in college. Layered on the sides, long in the back. My mother was horrified that I had a "boy's haircut."

I had one, too, luna!!! Hee! I kept my permed poufed long hair, and had a crew cut on top! It was really comfortable. :)

I went from BIG hair to Annie Lennox in one hour's time. Drove to Note Dame to see the hubby and he promptly shut the door in my face. Being a then theatre/Sociology major, I was unphased by such high drama.

    Heeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

I never had big hair, I was a kid in the 80s. But I did have some biiiig shoulder pads! They looked so ridiculous on me. I was a scrawny little toothpick of a kid with linebacker shoulders in my school pictures.

Ahhhh, the shoulder pads. We wore some weird sh*t. I recently resurrected an old top from the back of my closet and had to cut the damn shoulder pads out of it!

Sorry for the wait. We are almost done bottling. Will have numbers for you in a few hours, and descripts too. :)

    WOOT!

~Did you ever get any SLEEP?!!?

  4.

And merely for your edification, this is King Kobra.

    LOL You're welcome.

    king-kobra.jpg

    THANK YOU!! Heeeeeeeeeeeeee!!! Good one!!!

And may I reserve a bottle of Lorien's Sugared Darkness, please?

I about spit my coffee when I saw King Cobra, then squeeed loudly when I saw the new Sugared Darkness! Thank you for making it again!!! :w00t:

ETA: Gods. What the hell were we doing to our hair in those days? I had the blonde curly poof style (and the soulful pout). Heh. B)

  5. Yes.

And thanks all for Saying Nice Things...Wendylynne, wow, I appreciate the compliment but maybe in another lifetime I might be as good as F. Scott...maybe.

We're quantum. You *are* as good as F right now!!! Great Scott, woman!!! ~couldn't resist :) Your poetry moved me to tears. You are hitting on deep experiences with these. Licking the honeysuckle? That's a thing I learned from my Dad! I just thought about it the other day...blinked, turned around, and there it was in your poem. Tears. Beautiful!!! You ever going to publish that glorious stuff...on paper..to hold in our hands...???

    *shakes self*

And the scents!!! This is quite a collection. I'm gonna have to get a full sampler because I certainly cannot choose between them!

    :burning-heart::burning-heart::burning-heart:

  6. Elizabeth I would friggin LOVE to meet you and listen to your presentation on the sigils. There has to be a way to make this happen ~~~ :purr:

I look forward to meeting you, too! I AM going to make it up there in the next few months. :)

Ayyyy, matey. Where be the descriptions? :D

ARRRRrrrrr, QG, me hearty! Ye will observe that our lady Luna has nae shown her pretty face since this mornin'. Me heart tells me that this bodes WELL! Thar be treasure afoot here!

    :money1668::pirate291::toast:

  7. Gods! You know, I read the Demeter description...why in the world would you want to smell like a plate of lobster? Dirt, yes! Greenery, yes! Tons of stuff...YES. But a plate of seafood? :buried-in-sand::shark825: I keep thinking I'd smell like I truly needed a shower. *gigglesnort*

More CRUSH than lobster. That's my hint. :)

    Really? Orange Crush??? YUMMY!

I just finished the descriptions last night, so it's going to be at least a couple days I imagine.

LOL okay, my "Lobster babes" comment has nothing to do with The B-52s, it was just a visual pun. My hint is: one of these scents is not quite what you think it is, but you will love it anyway (probably).

Okay, then!!! :D Gonna put my wild speculation cap on. Oh wait. I wear that one all the time... B)

  8. You mean "lobster babes" wasn't enough of a hint?! :P

Hee!!! Ummmmm...Well, since the B52s ladies would wear beehive hairdos...does it have honey? Does it perhaps smell like a Farfisa organ, or the back of an amp...or hairspray???

    H2000 is someone different.

YES! Sniffathon every month if we can, that's the plan!

Another plan, when you can, is to have you up here for a First Friday to display your sigils and talk about your artwork. The FF events are all about artists!

OMG that will be fun!!! Eeeeee-YESSS!!!

~And, too, I can pick everyone's brains about southern WA. :)

And is the cutie on H2OOO someone I would recognize from slightly more recent times? Actress? Musician?

  9.

    OO I think I know! Squee !!

Tyvey. Do we get a hint, or is that a question I shouldn't be asking...? :kiss43:

And as for Marilyn! Since I do not refrain from asking dumb questions--as you all know by now :):):) --is that Marylin in both Kissed by the Sun and H2O Oh Oh??? The H2O chick actually reminds me of Shirley Temple as a teenager, but I don't think she would ever have posed so sexy... :Emoticons0424:

And MARA!!! Are you going to do a Sniffathon at the store for every set of NRs??? Gonna have to bear that in mind, if so... B)

    P.S. I WANT A LOBSTER COSTUME.

    *gigglesnort*

    *scuttles off making lobstery pincer-hands*

ETA: Actually, my younger daughter and I have this thing we do saying "crab crab crab" in Japanese and dancing around like crabs...a lobster costume would sorta slide right in there...

Fun stuff! What great labels Mara, as always. :) I love all the vintage labels you find, but Ms. Norma Jean Baker and Bettie Page? Whoo! And Lobster people??? I'm so excited about these new releases - my first in a few months! I guess that means I'll have to get the sampler. Hee!

I'm chomping at the bit for notes, but I know Luna has been busy! (Thank you, Luna! :D )

EGGERS! Who is that in your avi? :D

And for my last dumb question...

Oh, Luuuunnnnaaaa!!! Do we get any hints yet...? :greensmilies-024:

  10. OMG OMG HONEYSUCKLE!!! Delicious delicious delicious delicious delicious. I love both Leprechaun Luck and Sugared Honeysuckle. And I ADORE this one. It's all honeysuckle on me, and it lasts and lasts. Honeysuckles are one of my favorite flowers. My Dad grew them, and my Mom has them along one-and-a-half sides of her house. This perfume smells like when the vines are completely in bloom, thousands of flowers scenting the breeze wherever you go in the yard. It's definitely a euphoric for me. The other day I wore it layered with Sugared Honeysuckle. The two intensified each other, which I would not have thought possible. I am addicted.

    :burning-heart::burning-heart::burning-heart:

  11. This is totally my Mom's glazed orange bundt cake on me. Which is a WONDERFUL thing! I tend to fall on my back and roll around in desserts and, well, anything that smell like this. *snort!*

~Memorare now has me wanting to acquire Sugared Black Musk--'cause it's on my list of MOAR sugareds to buy--and cinch up that corset on Ms Orange Fairy Cake. Sounds yummm. :)

  12. This comes off as wonderful apple perfume on me. I've only worn it once, so this part may change, but I never got any cake. It may round out the scent, but I don't perceive it as a distinct note. I just get a satisfying version of apple, natural, with that edge of what it smells like in an apple shed at one of our local orchards in the fall. It's delicious. >>
