  1. I still have them, Ladies! :)

Bats, it's really gold, not copper, but it's gorgeous with that little dot of red. A really pretty one.

My laptop monitor shifts colors a bit. Gold is great! In fact, I was thinking I wanted a gold one, too :) Is it okay to GC you for it since it's $15?

  2. Mara, may I acquire an Orb E? I lurrrrve copper! May I have an invoice as soon as it's convenient, please? Or since it's $15, would you like me to do GCs, since I'm going to order some perfume?

Wait, wait, wait! I just looked at the dates in here. Imma email you. :)

 And right now I am wearing my new silver orb! It's BEEEYOOOTEEEEFULLL! I put some Lucky Van Van Oil on the green pom pom and stuck it in there--works great! I may hang it on the side of my easel later this evening.

  3. OMG! I am only the third reviewer??? DUDES. This stuff is WONDERFUL!!!!!! It's a sweet Dragon's Blood, but definitely resinous and no fruit! Hee! On me, it's got a soft, sweet, almost rosy feel to it...and yet it's still completely incensey. It doesn't have the feel of *burning* incense; it's more like sniffing incense sticks in their box. I can't get over how beautiful it is. I want to dance around and then throw myself down and roll in the stuff! *Ahhhhhhhh!* :belly-dancer: :belly-dancer: :belly-dancer:

  4. This is like standing in the sun and eating a grapefruit. REALLY. I snoof it and am at the little school here on the mountain, a little while back, and the kids are sharing some ruby grapefruit with me outside before art class. WOW. Perfect, uplifting, beautiful grapefruit. LOVE!

Oh and I forgot to add: on long drydown, the overt grapefruit burns off, and I'm left with this subtle, creamy-sweet, slight breath of citrus skin scent. Gorgeous and...well, kinda sophisticated! :)

    :burning-heart:

  5. Woo-Hoo "grand opening of the brick & mortar store",eeeeeeee,I've some catching up to do :) Awesome!!!!

as alsways LunaChick,an enjoyable romp :abfx: :abfx: :abfx:

...which suffused his imagination with its nectarous yet ephemerial flavor.

If you catch a Fae whose lips have been stained by the juice of a cherry, their kiss can enthrall you for eternity...

It is not unusual to find a bee and a fairy napping within the same flower, curled up and dusted with pollen, gently snoring

... all in a fae’s work!

YESSS!!! SQUEE!!! And Hi Calii!!!

You know me and puns! :D Thank you as always Calii Sunshine.

I love writing about fairies, so this was a lot of fun for me...and I finally got to write about my sentient singing orchids. Someday I might even write an entire story about the Kingdom of the Orchids. I kinda wanna have Null and Pov and Katerina end up in the jungle with them.

Puh-LEEEZE Ms Luna!?? *drool* I wanna see Null & Pov & Kat with the Orchids!!!!!!!!!

    *dances from foot to foot*

    Oh Gods, these are good!!!

    :burning-heart:

  6. DANG! Y'all, I was just talking about the EXACT SAME THING with Mr. Matt tonight. The same stuff is happening to me and mine! My life is being readjusted in ways that are much needed. It's seemingly coming out of nowhere, and then I realize which potion I've been wearing. WOW!!! There are indeed no coincidences.

  7. I was just gifted a vial of this by Bella *THANKS, Woman!* and I LOVE it. Like Invi, I smell the cookies with jam! Mine are the Thumbprint Cookies my Mom and I always made as part of our Christmas Baking Extravaganza. :xmas735: I still aim to make them every year. I want to make some NOW and eat half the batch! Aside from that, this scent gives me a goofy grin and my eyes roll back *every time* I put it on and snoof. As it wears, the berries slip into the background and I have that oaty ambery vanillary thang going on. Gods, but this is a comfort scent. I'm with Luna on an oatmeal-amber scent being "A Delicious Thing Indeed." :)

  8. Not sure if this is the proper place to post this, but am confused as to where else it would be at home, and I really wanted to hit upon this topic. Many of you may be familiar with the research of Dr. Masaru Emoto, whose book I have. I love his work. Some have claimed to have debunked it, but I am a believer.

He suggests that water has memory and retains things such as positive and negative intent and emotions. Everyone here knows that Mara's Magickal Potions WORK, and they work some mad magick!!! I know this all too well also, and this left me wondering why this batch of Spell Potions seemed even stronger than usual. I mean STRONG and with fast results!

It occurred to me that having ElizabethOSP's beautiful and powerful sigil labels on the bottles must be working very much the same way that Dr. Emoto's theories on water do. Even if you have not read his work, so many of us have seen, and used the little reusable positive message labels that you can stick on water, ( or any liquid) bottles) which are believed to impart positive intent. Words such as health, love, energy, light, etc. The words, or in this case sigils, impart additional power to that which is already good for us.

So I am thinking that just the presence of these magickal labels on the bottles, combined with Mara's own magick has amplified the intensity and speed with which these potions work. I really do believe they are somehow different and on a higher level. Here I am, STILL gushing about these Sigil Spell Potions, but I truly am in awe and more than a little mystified. If you are interested, check out the following video on Dr. Emoto's work. It isn't very long, and you'll get the message. Thanks again to Mara and ElizabethOSP!!! If this was your intent, it was a stroke of genius. If it wasn't your intent, it is still a stroke of genius! :)

 Rose, I love Dr. Emoto's work. And what you're saying--and other Ladies *waves at other Ladies* *hi Ladies!* have been agreeing--about the "oomph" these potions have? OH, YAY-YUH!!! I was thrilled to see your post! I talk to my water. I'll thank it before I drink it :) I thank jars of it and keep it on my windowsills as a house blessing.

Mara was very specific to keep the mantras worded positively, which I LOVE. I think that she and the LP Peeps put a great deal of good energies into these potions!

I haven't gotten through the entire collection yet, but I've been wearing them one by one as I work on the art for the prints. Some I've worn for days in a row, and some I've just tested. I've probably worn about 3/4s of the collection now. ALL OF THEM are packing a magickal punch. Every single one. They're working quickly, too. I hadn't really thought of what it would do to them to have sigils on the labels. Dangitty-dang!!! Stuff is charged, charged again, and *then* charged yet *again* by the wearer. Woot!

Each time I wear one, I read its mantra, sort of muse it into place in my head, and then let it go.. So, I'm using them with intent...but it's the kind of almost subconscious intent that works best for me when working on things in this life. This is creating a veeerrry interesting journey! Also, I've enjoyed every one of these as a perfume, too. Wasn't expecting that. BONUS! :)

Also--and I'm trying to think how to best say this--I'm not afraid of over-zestful effects from these potions. This is a new thing for me. Many, many years ago, I dove into some workings and got huge, wonderful, quick effects...that were really too much to handle at the time. It was the "be careful what you ask for" thing, good results notwithstanding. Thus, I taught myself to lay back, get focussed properly, exercise some caution, and all that. But with these Spell Potions, the focussing and centering seems to be built-in for me. Maybe it's because I drew those sigils? Maybe not. Maybe the potions are already tempered with positiveness.

And Everyone? THANK YOU for the compliments!!! This project is an ongoing life-changer and blessing!

    :burning-heart:

  9. And on another note...

I'm going to start putting up sigil prints in my Etsy shop tonight!

    https://www.etsy.com/shop/ElizabethOSP

    :BananaRow: :BananaRow: :BananaRow:

Being a total crazy, I HAD to burn my own parchment to photograph for the background image in the prints. 'Cause, you know...FIRE!!!! I was on my studio floor with my propane torch and a container of water, scorching, burning, and blowing-out like a maniac. Of course, I forgot to turn off my smoke detector. Heh. In the end, it was well worth it. I love the way these prints are looking. :) I'll be adding them in one-by-one as I go. First up: Peaceful Home!

And my apologies! Any prints ordered this week will have a longer-than-usual turnaround time, because we're waiting for mats and shipping supplies. They should all be here by the end of the week.

  10. I'd love to see the originals Elizabeth! A question about your walnut ink - do you make it yourself? I recently came across a post with instructions for making it, and wondered if people actually take the time to do that. (I'm guessing they do!).

Hey, Girl! I don't make my own...yet. I plan to do it *one of these days*! Heh. I did find out, though, that the ink I have IS made from the shells. But they say it's not acidic, and I have not seen it eat any of my drawings or my pens over the years. I just ordered a bottle of a different brand--Daniel Smith's Walnut Ink--so I can keep my promise to the mold in my old bottle. :)

  11. O M Deity, these and the entire process are so intrinsically beautiful ...Bats you are blessed with many gifts, and deservedly so . I am proud to know you :):abfx: ...Mara the concepts for the collection and final renderings are stunning

...ps B,your unique garden blessings candle still graces my home, and still has scent !!!!!!!!

 Awwww, THANKS Miz Calii!

AND :w00t: DUDE! You still have it! I am so glad! Do you...*burn* it? B) 'Cause if you don't, and if the surface scent starts to back off, give it a shot with a blow dryer or let it sit somewhere warmish and it'll suck more scent out to the surface again. This last Christmas, I pulled out a Christmas candle I'd made and packed in a bag 10 years previously to check scent *9* years previously, which I hadn't done. It still smells great. I aim to REEK. Hee!!!

P.S. STILL can't figure out where those 10 years went. I know I'm absentminded, but that's ridiculous. *gigglesnort*

  12. Thanks for the info Bats! Peaceful Home turned out perfect, what where some of the others that played nice and which ones didn't? Just wondering if any were calling out louder as signal to pay close mind to. Peaceful Home I could see being a great energy to work with cause you always need a great base to work from and I've done major clearing on my place because of that. Were there any potions that you really liked from the last collection? I took inventory the other day and I still have the 2013 collection, but none from any other collection like Road Opener.

Is there a u tube vid on Sigils I could study up on? I'll look up Gordon White in the meantime. Man I got some homework to do, it's all fascinating but I'm starting from scratch I don't even have real pen, damn!

You know, Cherise, I found it VERY interesting which ones argued with me and which ones just sang perfectly. They gave me some unexpected and not always comfortable insights on my state of mind while I was drawing them! But then, that is one of the reasons I love working with sigils.

One True Love, Lucky Van Van, Fascination, and Harmonious Self probably fought me the hardest. Fascination just wouldn't form itself properly...until Mara asked for it to have a hole in the middle to write a name. I put pen to paper and WHAM! There it was. :) One True Love was acting weird in multiple versions until I turned it *upside down* and voila! All happy. Lucky Van Van confused me. And I couldn't even decide which Harmonious Self to use! I made Mara pick. Heh.

On the other hand, Peaceful Home reeeeally wanted to be a house. Determination was almost instant, as was Hex Deflection. Blessing insisted on being easy-to-see letters all dancing in a bunch. Glamour surprised the hell outta me--she wanted to be what she wanted to be. Road Opener was pretty quick to show itself, but was kinda persnickety about its style. When you see the drawings with their accompanying scritches and comments, you can tell how they all acted.

From the older Spell Collection, Road Opener, Blessing Oil, and Love Drawing are go-to oils for me. I only use Road Opener if I'm truly ready to shake things up, but the other two I wear as perfumes along with using them magickally. From more recent Collection, I use BFF, ProCreate, Glamour Puss, and Sweet Dreams & Comfort a LOT. :) And there are ones that weren't in the spell collections--like Leprechaun Luck and the older Ashes to Dust--that I find *extremely* useful. Plus they all SMELL SO GOOOOOD!!!

:heart:I can't wait to smell these new ones!

P.S. I've not seen sigil videos on youtube, but I'll bet there are a ton of them. And really, you just have to find a technique that resonates with you, as who you are *right now*. Know what I mean? And I think it should be fun...but that's just what works for me. :)

  13. :burning-heart: 'Kayso...Hi everyone! I need to tell you how I made these sigils! :) ~I *didn't* design the labels--Mara made them and they are BEEEYOOOOOTEEEEFULLLLL, yes?!!! I am so honored to be a part of this wonderful set!!!!!!!!!!!!

When Mara and I started talking about them, I took pics of some sigils I'd made and we just kinda flew from there. When I make sigils, I usually put them on parchment-style paper and I burn the edges when I'm done to make them look wizardly. ;) I didn't burn the edges of these sigils, but Mara did it for us on the labels!

~~Which reminds me! XEV!!! Are you around? Xev, I'm thinking it was you who put up a link to Gordon White's blog a year or two ago, and I've been reading him ever since. One of his posts got me using sigils as standard practice. I'd always used them once in a great while, but my method was convoluted and frankly from a different time in my life. Gordon's method resonated with me and I've used it ever since.

Part of his method is to do what he calls "shoaling." You make sigils in groups. Some of them will be way more important than others in any given group, but you let them work together and the fact that they *are* a group allows you forget which one is which...thus nicely sidestepping the lust for success that can derail our magickal work. A while back, I stumbled on a list of stuff I'd done sigils on--this was like a year after I made them--and they'd *all* come to fruition. I LIKE sigils. :)

So anyway...! I used an OLD dip pen with a vintage nib. I think the pen is from the 1940s or maybe the 30s. The nib could be 80 to 100 years old. I collect weird shit like that 'cause I wub them! And old nibs are made way better than new ones. The ink was Walnut Drawing Ink (which is a substitute for the actual ink made from burnt walnut shells which is so acidic that it eventually eats your paper. Heh). And as an added life-energy-boost, there's a nice glob of mold growing in the bottom of the ink bottle. It's been there for years and I'd just thought it was sediment until recently. I promised I'd put it outside when I was done and thanked it for being part of the project (I also carry spiders outside *gigglesnort* but really, I do).

I don't pencil sigils before inking. Sometimes I sketch them first in ink...and sometimes I SCRIBBLE THE LITTLE FUCKERS OUT and start over again! *ahem!* Wiping the fresh ink sideways with my hand is always really satisfying, too, when they argue. I did a bit of both with these. Most of them, though, just sort of flowed out onto the paper and said "HI! Let's play!"

I created sacred space every time I worked--burned sage, then sweetgrass...played various musics, burned candles, burned incense, sang while drawing...even bellydanced a bit while some dried. I made an oil lamp jar using a floating mechita wick, herbs, olive oil, and three of Mara's previous spell oils: the old Road Opener and Blessing Oil, and the newer ProCreate. Wowsers, but those three smell GREAT together!!! I do use ProCreate a LOT when doing arts. It's excellent!

Sometimes...hell, MOST of the time the sigil drawings call out to be turned in circles or upside down while I'm drawing. These critters truly have their own personalities and preferences. And some insist on being pictures, like the little house. :)

Well, I'm talked out for now. If anyone's interested in seeing the originals, which are scattered aaaallll over the papers with tons of scritches, crap, and notes (!), I can post them. Questions? I'm around.

    Thanks for Listening, and

    Love You Guys,

    Bats

  14. Somewhat, in terms of being a success potion, but in terms of intent it's a new version of the previous Road Opener.

    http://www.lovepotionperfume.com/perfumerie/potion/SSRoadOpener/

OH EMM GEEEE!!! I did not realize that...but was hoping for it!!! The old Road Opener is one of my top five magickal oils. It smells soooooo good on my skin, but I only use it with careful, solid intent because it works like a fucking bulldozer, with dynamite added, and a goodly dose of Glinda the Good Witch, to boot!!! :cat690::cheers04251::cat690::cheers04251::cat690:

    Elizabeth,

These sigils would look really cool painted on wood...IMO

:burning-heart: Oh YAY-YUH!!! Gods, John--you brought all sorts of versions bursting into my head!!! I will definitely do some on wood. Over the summer, I did a series of encaustic/mixed media paintings on weathered old wood from our oldest woodpile at the edge of the forest, and I LOVE working that way!
