I truly love reading your descriptions Luna, and I love how involved you are with the forum!
And no, I'm not trying to butter you up for inside info, just wanted you to know
What she said...

OOO! I am a Thaumaturgist now! (Had to look it up, but it's cool!)
Man I remember when I was a squib and going, "OMG how am I ever gonna break the 1000 post mark?" I think I done it...

Now see, this doesn't remind me of Portmanteau at all, this seems like something completely different, scent-wise. But yes, that very self-assured, cocked-eyebrow, Holmes' grey eyes gazing steadily and calmly. I see it as SO HOLMES.
I'm one of those writers whose characters become nearly real to 'em, and Mara made just a beautiful rendition of Holmes on this one. I liked the 2010 version but I ADORE this. Because it just invokes Holmes to me. I can wear this and sit down and I will go to town on the next book, I can tell.

Leather or PP, and a raised eyebrow that says, "WHO has the science degrees here?"
That usually shuts 'em up.
ETA: REALLY glad it went well, and I'm LMBO that he went all approval-y on you! I knew that's what would happen as soon as you hit the right spot!

I may have to have some of that soap...I surely like the sound of it. Are all of the essential oils in all the bars, or are there choices of those oils per bar?

I JUST got my September scents! I will wait awhile to stalk yet. I know it's getting close, but it will wait while I revel in my new smellies!

Elementary Chapter 4: Oh my. This immediately conjures Holmes to my mind. A sopisticated male scent, headed in the slightly androgynous direction but still, on the right man, ALL man. And Holmes would be that man.
On the other hand, the sophistication is such that a strong woman can wear it as well. This is absolutely lovely. In a handsome kind of way.

Watson: This is a manly fragrance, simple and evocative of a barbershop, with its shaving cream, clean fresh skin, and a brisk simple aftershave. Nice.
But still something I might be able to get away with wearing on occasion. Even better if I can manage to swipe it on hubby.

Luna's Miss Autumn: AH! Right out of my childhood! Instantly the scent of caramel apples with burning leaf smoke in the background! WUB!
-
Gilded Season: Instant fruitiness, maybe a hint of woodsy, like being in an orchard during harvest-time. Very delicate fragrance. I held the bottle so close to my nose for the first smell I actually hit my nose with it. (Didn't contaminate my sense of smell, bc the rollerball didn't hit my nose.) Very very nice transition fragrance from late summer/early autumn. I'm like Calii; labdanum could whop me upside the head with a 2x4 and I wouldn't recognize it.

Popularity Potion FTW. Not only does it put you up on a pedestal, it's a friendly pedestal so he doesn't feel threatened by you.

I vote for all of it. I wanna hear more pad/hot air balloon designs.
On with the show, then! I do steampunk...

Wait- AC is that thread just for accents or can we continue our LP dream pad discussion there as well?
Well, I was doing a regional accent and food thing there. I dunno. What does everyone WANT to do there?

Is there anything left of the very first Elementary brew, enough for a sample perhaps, so that I can smell what it was like? I am just curious.
-
Are you sure you mean Desire Me and not Jouir De?
Yeah, Luna, wasn't from LP, I assure you. It was before I even came over here.

I will say that I was given a sample of Desire Me as a freebie to try and I have never been able to wear it. No offense to anyone, but... to me, and unlike the stuff Mara brews, it smells like dirty cat butt. I simply can't bring myself to hardly open the bottle. The first time I did, I actually gagged. I didn't dare put it on because I was afraid I'd smell like I'd had a bout of the runs and hadn't cleaned up after. I still have it but I don't know what to do with it.
I usually layer OCCO...but not always. *EG*

I finally got my durn Paypal account working again, so I can't wait for my full bottles of these! OOOOOO! *jumps up and down*

I'd start a thread but dunno where to start it...
I love scones and lemon curd. Earl Grey, hot, with cream - delightful. Often how I wind down my evenings.
And as someone truly descended of Scots...did I mention I love haggis? I also like Vegemite (there used to be an Aussie restaurant in town, it was yummy) but have not had opportunity to try Marmite. Bangers & mash. Scotch eggs. Whisky (scotch or Irish, makes no never mind as long as it's the good stuff)...
I have English, Irish, Welsh, Scots, Norse Viking, French, Spanish, Italian and Cherokee in my ancestry that my mom has found so far.
ETA: Do you just wanna put it in my journal area for the time being?
Watson

And that's exactly why I wrote the little storyline I did. And I think you're exactly right.
