  1. This was in my arsenal at a recent business smoozathon. Basically, everytime I wear Rocket Fuel, people blurt out odd compliments...like their social controls take a little slip...this time we were at the "gala" *yawn* and I was standing patiently listening to some CEO give us his state of the industry speech - when suddenly he stops dead, and says "I gotta say, someone smells FANTASTIC! I mean, FANTASTIC!" Thanks, SS4W.

At the end of the 3 days, I asked DH which of the perfumes he liked best. "That Rocket one...I don't know what it is about it." Yeah, me neither *gigglesnort*.

This is one I am going to take a precious bit of and put in an atomizer for max diffusion.

  2. This is just fabulous! A perfect, soft but spicy wintertime scent. I have mine amped with Intellectual Woman, which is a lovely match for this scent.

It is blended beautifully, so it's hard to pick out individual spices. The impression is overall smooth and spicy, just enough to tickle the nose, not sharp, with just a touch of brown sugar (a favorite sugar of mine). The amber must be what gives it a grounding that to my nose almost feels woody...

Just fantastic! If you like Gothic Latte, or La Vie, I think you'd like this - it has a feel much like them, although it doesn't smell like them...does that make sense?

  3. This is another beautiful variant on Dark Seductions. The lavender adds a distinctly clean edge to it, without crossing over into aromatic/medicinal. I wore this Saturday and the scent just wafted around me all day. The original Dark Seductions base is still paramount, but the lavender brightens compared to the deep darkness of the violet original.

DH will have to try this one, as Dark Seductions was one he wore alot.

  4. There's a note in there my nose is definitely addicted to. Must be the cocaleaf, lol.

:D I nearly snorted Dr Pepper out of my nose....

Am I to understand that TT actually LIKED a scent?!? Quick - slather both of yourselves in it before he changes his mind!!

  5. I like honeys as a rule, and this is a very nice one. The florals add a spicy warmness to the richness of the honey. Takes it about 1/2 hour to quiet down on my skin before I get the true effect. Smooth and warm and cozy.

  6. Tabby has notes that I was completely unfamiliar with, so I was very curious to find out how it sat with me.

Oh yeah, this one I really like! Goes on with a faint greenness, that warms up what I picture as a blond wood. Different than my usual, but verrrry pleasant. Has a plesant tanginess and maybe it was purely suggestions, but an hour or so after drydown I think I caught a whiff of soft kitty fur...

And of course the Dominance does it's job even at the lower concentration - DH came home, sniffed all the proffered spots, commented that he liked this one, and soon I was trying to peel him off of me so I could finish dinner. We barely made it through dinner. Now, he is always ready and willing, but he was just crazy insistent.

  7. Buns of Cinn was exactly as I imagined - Cinnamon Bun but also wearable perfume, not too gooey. I got mine amped with BI, since I thought it would be strong enough to cover the BI (BI reeks to my nose). Buns of Cinn admirably drowned the BI in a gooey glob of cinnamon sugar and dough.

This is fun and since I seem to be on a gourmand scent binge lately, I'm sure it will get plenty of cold weather wear.

  8. This is a surprise love of mine this month. I wasn't sure what to expect and you generally lose me with "bergamot" and "tea leaves"....Earl Grey be damned.

But this is gorgeous! At first a blast of sweetened tea, yes, but then the berries and the musk become evident. "Glowing" is a good description. On drydown it has a soft, glowing feel to it, feminine and silvered.

    I love it!

  9. This is less unisex than I expected, and I don't get anything smoky out of it. Hard to say, as I am not familiar with dogwood, but I definitely get tobacco flower (they have a wonderful fragrance) and a touch of tobacco. On my skin, it is actually rather brighter than expected, and has excellent sillage. Surprisingly, on drydown it was floral. I want DH to try it, too.

  10. I dabbed a bit on yesterday at work. Yes, it does indeed smell like dinner. Meat. Gravy. Stuffing, I think. And corn & peas or some side dish. Honestly, really like a kitchen smells after cooking.

I don't think I'll be wearing it around town, you understand. But it is a very accurate representation of a holiday dinner.

Katz, I just wondered this morning if my animals would react to...I'll have to try when I get home.

  11. Ack-I'll order those in a little bit here. My package just came! I'm Overdosing!

I am SOOO stalking the poor little maildude. I think today will be the day...

If it weren't so freakin' cold I would go stroll about the neighborhood and try to locate him, he never gets to my office until almost 5! I can't wait 4 more hours!

Then of course post-OD I will order some November stuff.

  12. OK having sneaked a tiny peek at the descriptions (which, by the way, Luna, are lovely) I think I need Blood on Snow & Offering - for my collection of "offering" scents, marigolds are a bonus. Oh but then there is Garland & Lace (eggnog!gingerbread!!), Mistress Christmas (gingerpear!) - the ginger 'ho in me is overwhelmed.

Then of course Vamp Cafe (dare I dream of more coffee goodness?)...

And Boddice Ripper for the DH - violets are good.

Dangit. Better wait for the sampler.

  13. I smelled canned peas in the vial. On my skin it turned to roast beef, & corn bread. TT's response was, nobody should walk around smelling like that!

Oh my...when I get my packy, I am going to give this one a whirl, but this scares me, truly. Canned peas, roast beef and corned bread. Truly??

I can always put it in my big old humidifier and the whole house will smell like dinner for a couple weeks at least...

  14. SUPER for Men...DH never wears in public b/c it makes him self-conscious. Possibly because of the strange women following him around with blank stares and vacant smiles...one of them is usually me.

Woodland Man - basically a get your groove on thing

Til Death - I am mesmerized and follow him like a drunk puppy

DH likes the lighter/gree/floral scents himself. He likes Merlin's Blend, Sweet Revenge, Miss Right Now, Frog, etc...This weekend he wore Eleven, which he hadn't worn in a while, and I nearly jumped him in public.

Elementary is one he wears to work often, and it still smells wonderful at the end of the day. Not really sexual though, if that's what you are looking for.

He swears all the pheros smell like stinky sweat...which they kind of do...so it's a struggle to get him to wear them, but occasionally he will use some Intellectual Man or A314.

  15. OK time for an update....what I've been reaching for quite a bit lately...not really for workdays but for "my time":

    LP Winter Solstice 2009

    WANT

    Marcy's Wheat Siren

    Blessed Sacrament

    Mara's Rocket Fuel

    DH has been wearing:

    Sweet Revenge

    Pony's DH

    Essence of Luck

Eleven (oh has that ever aged well....ravishment ensues)

    Elementary

  16. Yes I like WANT a lot too. Unfortunately when I tried to review it, the search feature doesn't like that word...and I was too lazy to manually go back that far in the threads.

At first I get big yellow banana - sort of like banana candy - but then it goes to a rich honey scent, and stays all night long. I wear it in the evenings quite a bit, and the next morning I still can smell the honeyed goodness. Plays well with other scents too to add a little sweet zing.

  17. Same here! I ordered a full bottle unsniffed. And a bottle of Fallen Angel. Fell in love with the label right away :thbf54f4bf:

Yup me too. I was evidently hungry when I ordered - bottles of Buns of Cinn, Fallen Angel and JoAnnas Sweet Winter Chai all found themselves in my cart. I'm like a bear preparing for hibernation...

  18. Holy....Fallen Angel is up...Strawberry creme cake!!!!!

Is it wrong that I am getting hungry and a little horny reading this? DH will nom nom nom me....

What do men really want? A good girl? A bad girl? The answer is: YES. They want heavenly innocence mixed with the wicked naughtiness that can only be found on the north shore of the River Styx. Elements of Italian creme cake, strawberries and buttercream evoke the pure, shy schoolgirl while traces of orange spice liqeur and skin musk unleash the wanton harlot within. Good and Bad, all rolled into one. A halo replaced by a top hat, white wings replaced by black, a smile replaced by...a smile, a knowing smile.

Strawberry infused Italian Crème Cake, Sugary Butter Cream, and the hint of white, bright, angelic Musk defiled with Dark Musks and Orange Spiced Liquor.

ITALIAN CRÈME CAKE~ Eaten at the end of a ritual or celebration, often used as wedding cake. This is also a favorite for the Wigilia or Vigil feast.

STRAWBERRY ~ Attraction, draws fortunate circumstances in all areas of your life.

VANILLA ~ Aphrodisiac, inspires happiness, playfulness, sexual arousal, lust, vitalizing.

MILK/BUTTER/CREAM ~ Nurturing, soothing, eases troubled relationships. Goddess energy.

SUGAR ~ Attracts love, luck, sweetness and riches. Lust inducing.

ORANGE SPICE LIQUOR ~ Eternal Love, Magnetizing, Intoxicant, Lowers Inhibitions, Lust.

MUSK ~ Self confidence and strength, sexual attractant, heightens passions and arousal.

  19. The wait is killing me. Then when I get descriptions, my bank account will be killing me.

If you type in the name in the gift shoppe section, brief descriptions are up for everything but DS: Lavender and Fallen Angel. But we haven't gotten the go-ahead on ordering them yet...I think we have to wait to order until they "appear" in new releases.
