  1. Wet - a hint of pumpkin (i agree with the "dry" description), clove and cinnamon

After it dries down, the pumpkin moves to the back and the clove tones down. The musk and the nutmeg come to the front in a soft wave without any powder.

    • Oh, and I am just about to whip up a custom sugared for someone else that sounds soooo gooood, I might as well offer reservations for it now...

      White Sugar, Honey, Cinnamon.

Any takers? I'll make enough for all of us if I know how much to brew.

Please add me to the list... Will you send invoices?

  2. Another HUGE hooray, and thanks to the ladies of LP! Even though I really *should not* have ordered the samples this month, I'm SO happy I did!! It came through on a day I really needed a cheer up - and oh how cute the package was! From the candy-corn cellophane bag to the hilarious pumpkin whoopee cushion - I had a big smile, and still do.

I immediately tried out the Native Soil, and am walking around doing chores sniffing this amazing scent! Cinnamon-woodsy deliciousness...oh, if I love the rest as much as this, I may be asking for my X-mas present sooner than usual! I'm torn between trying them ALL on now, and just allowing myself 1/day...what to do?

Amazing month Mara and Danna! Thanks again!

I have found that I enjoy trying two per day when I have new samples. One in the morning and then I take one sample to work with me and try it on just before I leave the office.

I am sooo looking forward to my package. It may have arrived today, but I am on a committee that is planning a conference (which is tomorrow). Soo, I am staying the night at the hotel since it will be a very late night for me and a very early morning tomorrow... I'll have to go pick them up at the PO on Saturday morning.

  3. Join the monthly subscription service. :thumb_up11:

I am signed up for a year. I actually save money and don't have to worry about what to order. If I really like a particular fragrance that I received in my monthly order, I just order a full bottle later. I'd really advise everyone to do this. :)

Congrats! Welcome to the land of the truely addicted...

  4. I tried this tonight and was pleasantly pleased. It was smokey and sugary. Wet, it was very marshmellowy. As it dried, it smoothed into a smokey sugar with a hint of spice. It smells just like catching faint whiff of burnt marshmellow as the campfire dies down. I can almost feel the crisp air and in the base of the scent you can catch a hint of the damp decaying leaves on the forest floor.

  5. On me, the cocoa butter is a soft and creamy undertone. Wet, I could really smell the bergamot and carnation. Very nice spice. After about 20 minutes, I get a soft musky rose with a subtle hint of spice. It makes me feel feminine.

My husband said it was nice with a subtle undertone of "incense" (which is probably the musk).

  6. I wore this today and had quite the interesting reaction from my husband. He sniffed it and wrinkled his nose and said that I smelled like a carnival gone bad. He said it was like a really bad mix of chocolate, popcorn, cotton candy and vomit (yes, he said vomit). I think the last was the pheremone scent. After about 20 minutes I had him resniff. He said it still smelled like a stale carnival. I told him about the pheremones and he said "well, this one did not work on me... I was sooo not turned on by it."

So, this one is apparently not working with my chemistry the way it has worked with others... How sad!

  7. Hi there. I ordered a dram of Dominance. If it has not been sent out yet, I'd like to add $3 samples of the following:

    Soulmate

    Swimming with the Sharks

    Treasured Hearts

    Intellectual Woman

Do you still have enough of those? The total would be $12. How much do I need to add for shipping?

  8. I do enjoy a lot of water related stuff. Especially streams and ponds in the woods. When I was thirteen or fourteen I nearly drown in a wave pool. While I imagine most people would be shaken up by the experiance, I simply jumped back in to swim some more (although more carefully this time).

Perhaps we are guided by the same hand so to speak. I am my most peaceful at night under a full moon on or near a natural water source.

  9. :)

I found it interesting how much the post I quoted from seemed like it was describing myself. I also studied psychology and criminology with the intention of working in the FBI's profiling unit (though my major changed along the way. Now I'm not too far off from a business degree instead.)

Then the mention of horror movies and Stephen King books. I figured yep now one of my other personalities is posting here as well. :)

Well, that would make sense. If we really are from the same mold, it would only be a matter of time before I found you somewhere like this... Hmmm... let's test the theory... Do you also love anything related to water (ocean, lakes, rivers, rain, etc)?

  10. Try a scent locket.....whenever I have one that my skin chemistry does ugly things with, I can still enjoy the scent in my locket.....

    That is a great idea!

  11. I really enjoyed this scent. It was a very nice and light citrus and fruity scent on me. It faded pretty fast on me (4 hours later and it was totally gone). Despite the fast fade, it is still worth purchasing.

It is a great pick-me-up sent for the morning. The fade factor is actually nice. It allows you to touch-up with another scent in the afternoon and not have to worry about mixing with the citrus notes in this one.

  12. I was sooo looking forward to trying this one. In the bottle, I loved the scent. When I put it on, however, it did something funky with my chemistry. All I could smell were the smokey notes and a very acrid overture. I was so sad. I even left it on to try it a few hours later, and no luck. It smelled the same...

I am going to set it aside and try it again in a week or two and see if it will smell better on me when I am not having an influx of monthy hormones...

  13. JoAnna - I have a sample of the 2nd one (Goblin Market Collection: Chapter 2 ~ Seduction) coming that you can try when it gets here... We need to coordinate a night of wine and LP trials... How about next Thursday? All of my packages should be here by then.

  14. An LP Cruise would be fantastic! I am so excited to see what is coming. I have decided that I am intensly excited to have purchased the yearly sample subscription. Now I don't have to worry about not having cash that month, they will just come! Christmas every month...

  15. You two are awesome! I thought I was the only obsessed weirdo... I actually almost joined the FBI to get into the psych profiling unit (my undergrad is psychology and criminal justice). Good to know there are kindred spirits out there.

As for the horror movies... I started reading Stephen King as a teenager, and my imagination is much worse than any horror movie that I have seen so far. After reading my first SK book, I slept with the lights on for a week. Some people get their rush out of jumping out of planes, mine is from a much safer fear (movies and books).

  16. I LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! My momthly subscription. It is great, a lot of times I fall in love with scents I never would have chosen to get. Well worth getting it, if any of you ladies are thinking about it....I highly reccomend it! :)

Well, now am glad I did it. Broke down I mean. Using my logic, that means on top of any order that I would have placed I now have $30 more a month to spend!

JoAnna, I am sure that you noticed - but I changed my avatar. I am also sure you are not surprised by my choice since this image totally fits the "other" side of my personality (to let the rest of you in on a secret, I spent my entire undergraduate degree writing all of my term papers on serial killers and am a die hard fan of horror movies).
