Mara, I think I ordered Melissa's Creamy Iris without cops but received one with 'enhanced with eow copulins' sticker. I don't care if mine has cops in it or not, I can even pay you for that extra addition. But I hope this does not mean LadyV got the wrong one too as she specifically asked for the one with cops.

Out of this month's PEs I have only tested Mel's Lightness Of Being so far and it is absolutely lovely indeed!

This PE sounds so perfect! I ALMOST ordered it, but for some reason then thought this would be more cakey pumpkin, not creamy/buttery one. Can't imagine why I thought that.

I hope last bottles of this PE won't get sold out by the time I'll be ready to place my November order.

No need to be sad. I'm actually surprised how rare that is here that a scent does not work for me. Most LP potions are just fab and I can have any of them with SS4W added, isn't that something to be happy about?

Thanks for the review! I was eyeing Dom for a while now, and after reading this I think I'll finally get some to try myself.

I know here are ladies who have tried this both in oil/silicone roll-on and in spray, in which form do you like it better?

IIRC Dolly wrote somewhere that Dom acts differently depending on its medium and diffusion rate.

I love SS4W phero blend but Sneaky Clean smells like concentrated laundry detergent on me. Can't wear it at all, even though I generally like light florals.

Is the smoke note your talking about the Burnt Sugar Note in this? Dang this sounds so good

There are both Smoke and Burnt Brown Sugar notes in this PE. I do smell the burnt sugar, it is similar to regular brown sugar but just slightly darker and less sweet. And it is very pretty combined with vanilla and tea notes. But I don't really detect the smoke except when it is wet. As soon as the oil dries on skin, the smoke is gone. Must be my wonky skin chemistry doing that.

I think my skin eats the smoke completely. I'm not sure if my nose is fully recovered yet, but it is better than last week. The black tea note in master version is to die for, so deep and gorgeous, but I barely detect any smoke. And then vanilla and sugar start to come out, just as Mara described. This is definitely a shifter, it slowly changes to almost a complete opposite of the initial scent. And every phase during that change is just beautiful. i envisioned my PE slightly sharper with the smoke note, but I do love the way it turned out on me.

Vanilla note in this is one of those that last on my skin to the next day. I've noticed that with vanilla in Lady Frost and couple other scents that I can't remember right now. After other notes are gone, that vanilla just stays on my skin forever.

I'll definitely snag couple more bottles with my November order. I do want to have them all, but my bank account disagrees. That means that there will be some left for you BlackCat and DD!

Cant wait to review this one! Everything about this PE is tickling my fancy and im impatiently waiting for my order to ship out and come to me :U

I also noticed that it is quite long lasting on me. It's been 8 hours since I applied it on my arm, and it is still there, only much softer and more vanilla-y.

I have a flu at the moment, so my scent review can be quite inaccurate, but I just could not wait any longer. Based on what I can smell, this PE is awesome! Master version starts as tea dominant, deep and sexy night time scent that does not feel heavy. Burnt sugar adds it warmth, and vanilla starts to emerge when it dries. The scent overall is very femme, but in a dark way. I can't detect smoke as a separate note, probably because of the flu, but I do feel that this is more than just a tea.

Lemon version is interesting too. When wet the lemon in it is quite sharp and piercing, but as it dries it settles to a nice bergamot tea scent. Master version is what I initially wanted, and I'd still prefer that if I had to choose, but the lemon one is very good too.

The reason I went with this PE idea is that in every tea based LP scent I tried the tea note was just too sheer and soft for my taste. I like my black tea really strong and unsweetened, and that's what I wanted in my PE. That kind of note is quite demanding though, and I felt that it will work best in a deep scent that is on the darker side. Mara made it exactly that and I am VERY happy with my first PE. This might not be a scent for everyone, but it is awesome and exactly what I wanted.

I will update this thread when my smell sense is fully back.

It's just not my day. I'm sick at home and my package is stuck somewhere between central sorting facility and our local delivery office. Well, I hope I won't have to wait much longer. This is very unusual already, as this is the first time ever when my package is not being delivered to me next day after it's gone through sorting.

ETA: Black Cat magic really helped! Delivery guy just gave me my package 10 minutes ago. I'm so happy I will start the thread for my PE even though I'm not able to smell half of the notes atm.

Just checked the tracking, it will be here tomorrow! BUT apparently I did catch a flu during this weekend. I'm now having a runny nose and everything. I can still smell majority of the notes in my perfumes though, so I hope it won't get worse tomorrow. The timing of it is just awful.

This feels like a love child of Cougar Potion and one of SLF scents with honey/amber/musk notes. Definitely with a slutty vibe, but warm and fruity at the same time. I like that the grapefruit is on the sharp side, otherwise I think it would be totally overpowered by other notes. As is this is balanced and interesting scent, I like it a lot.

The package with my PE has arrived to customs. If it gets through customs clearance with no delays, I might be able to pick it up tomorrow!

I'd also love one Melissa's Creamy Iris, preferably without cops. I will pay for those PEs after this weekend when I get home from my friend's wedding

I can't imagine what this would be like as a masculine scent. 221b is definitely very femme and makes me feel like a true lady. It is mostly sheer and sweet tea/honey/tobacco scent, and combined with other notes those are very complex and elegant.

I boosted mine with SS4W, it's an deal combo.

I wish I did the same. SS4W is a great blend, and would make a perfect addition to 221b.

Fleur! I keep meaning to hop on here and say: congratulations on your first PE, and wow, it sounds AMAZING! Not sure if my budget is going to allow any more LP purchases this month (stupid bills!) but this is awfully tempting. And so cool to have seen the idea tossed around on the Potions thread and now emerging as a real thing!

Thanks BlackCat! I think what really helped me to gain the courage and to order a PE based on my crazy ideas is the encouragement and support from lovely forum members here. I am dying to test it myself, as Mara's description is just perfect.

 

I love this idea - it really does have a "dominatrix" kind of vibe and would team fabulously with the Leather phero blend. It starts out with the tea and smoke forward, bold and a little bitter, and then as it wears on the skin it gets softer and softer with the vanilla and burnt sugar notes coming out...in the end it's like the calm after a storm. It's an interesting blend....you must try it on the skin to get the effect.

I prepared my first brew of it using a beautiful, exotic dark tea oil - or that's what it seemed in the bottle. Once I had diluted it and added it to the other ingredients, it exploded with lemon/bergamot on top. This smelled nice, but it was not what Inna asked for, so I started over again using a different tea note. Thus, the two variations.

So, Inna, I sent you the "Master Version" bottles as requested, but also sent you an additional bottle of the lemony one too. They both have the same label, but I added a sticker to the cap of the other marked LEMON. That's what I shall do with the others as well, folks.

I'm late with my review as it was few weeks ago when I decided that I LOVE Ann's BSBA and have to get a FB. Now the order is shipped out to me and soon I'll have it in my hands. That fact warms my heart, really.

I got a sniffie of this with my July order, I think. And from the vial it appeared to be too dark and resinous, eg something I wouldn't wear. Don't get me wrong, I did try to wear dark scents before, but those either smell like sugared men's feet, or feel really suffocating on me. I don't know if it's my skin chemistry or just scent preferences.

So I put that sniffie aside and forgot about it until the sale begun. At that point I dug out my sniffie bag and started testing them all, and Ann's BSBA was just perfect. Very dark sugary sweet amber, smokey and mysterious. But at the same time not heavy or suffocating at all. Actually it's the opposite, it feels almost airy and definitely very alluring. Like the darkness you enjoy and cannot resist.

Also the scent is quite strong even with small amount applied, so I did get several days of use off that sniffie vial and enjoyed every moment.

I got my shipping notice yesterday, so I'd expect the package to be here next week. Can't describe how happy and excited I am!

Caramel Musk is the TMI scent without pheromones. It is mentioned in Caramel Musk description too. And it has quite a fan club, myself included.

Whats catnip smell like?

I'm curious about that too. All the other notes seem like something I'd like as I am a huge fan of OCCO: SLF. Ever since Luna mentioned that Eye of the Moggie is from the same scent family as SLF, I am super excited about it.
