Ahh, got a sample of Dangerous Games a few days ago and finally gave it a shot yesterday. Well, it's not a good one for me. Oh well.

The berry is just too berry somehow and it turns kinda soapy on my skin. Great staying power though, I agree with previous reviews!

I felt slightly bitchy and irritated when wearing it -probably Leather- and started to have a migraine by the end of the day. I got really sick but I don't think it was related to the Leather. I am just not sure this mix is for me, I might prefer something more happy/upbeat (I put some LAM on later and felt a little more myself).

I wore CB the other day, and it was interesting, I was wearing some cut little outfit, with kick ass lace up booties, and OMG, I got soooo many compliments from women. Really. Guys were staring, but women were being super friendly. I guess I remembered that EST affects both gender. I felt that it softened me up a little, and it seemed that people looked at me as more approachable.

Yeah, same here. I think the carrier scent in G&L is so powerful and diffusive, that it really brings out the phero effect. Or it could be that a lower dose is better with this mix. Although I can slather on G&L no problem, like really wear a LOT of it, withouth OD-ing whatsoever

Wow, great post and clarification Mara- I gotta say that now I think less in terms on mcg I'm putting on, because I have gotten a feel of how much I need of which blend.

Like the fact that I get such great results with G&L (with a scented phero blend and has 1/3rd the amount of phero of the "Lace" mix) tells me that with Lace, I don't necessarily need the full force mix.

I can slather on G&L, but I don't think slathering on "Lace" would be such a smart idea! ;-)

But anyway, yeah, I don't think it's necessarily that chemical/scent signals travel to people who can't smell them, but that scents, potions and pheros have an effect on the wearer's energy and aura, and it's THAT which travels beyond the scope of the scent.

I was working in a little boutique in France, a few years ago, selling exotic jewelry and scarves. I remember being able to "feel" sometimes the energy of the person coming in this small place, sometimes very strongly, like a wave. I can totally relate to your story. Good for you for trusting your instincts.

Ive wondered about this too. Sometimes when I spritz on a sexy blend Ive seen men from WAY down the street to double-takes? I mean sure Im cute (LOL) but without the sexy blend on I just do not recieve that kind of attention, unless its the day after Ive worn pheros and they are all scrubbed off and I still get attention sometimes even moreso, its almost like the residue is affecting the aura somehow. Id like to find out what this could be.

Yes, yes and YES!!! I totally agree. I have been wanting to write about this as a matter of fact. I notice the same phenomenon, I get blatant hits from people walking in my direction sometimes, or from accross a room, or from guys driving in their cars etc.

I get hits from people who basically cannot be affected by the pheros I am wearing, and yet, I know it is somehow phero related. I do get reactions from guys without pheros when I have my hair /makeup done, but I know when it's a phero festival of attention!! It's a like a sci fi movie, with everyone acting weird lol.

My theory is that it's a lot about self effects. I believe when we feel sexy or bubbly or ---- -feel in the blank- we communicate it through our body language in ways that we are not aware of, but they're picked up by people around us. We're sending "good vibes" basically. I think there's a whole range of communication that eludes us but that forms an "unconscious" language out there. This unconscious body language can probably not be faked, because again, it's probably like "microexpressions" people have when they talk, it's beyond our awareness. So it isn't as simple as "feel sexy and you will get hits as if you're wearing a phero bomb". Nope, I think, again, that when we wear pheromones that work for us, we'll display a powerful body language that we can not mimic, that complements the mood / biological message (= I'm young, I'm fertile, Don't fuck w/ me etc).

It is also possible that people unconsciously "read" the body language of people around us, who themselves ARE affected by the pheromones we're wearing. Take for example a guy in a car, he might notice you walking down the street partly because he noticed people's body language around you.

I have read similar posts at the other forum, where members noticed that exact same thing. Getting hits when driving, in their cars, or getting hits from people who should be beyond reach of their pheromones.

In the end we can only speculate, but I draw my conclusions from my own experience, science I am sure, will make interesting discoveries in the future.

I'd say Lace and BAM. ... LAM is fun and sexy too, it's Anol +cops. Great for a night out. BAM will help him open up more.

And LAce is the bomb.

I get such blatant reactions with this mix, that it would be criminal not to share. It is a whole lotta fun to wear!!

Another great night last night with G&L, first batch. I paired it with a healthy dose of cops that I had mixed with some vanilla perfume oil.

I had to go to an event yesterday evening, so put on some G&L late in the afternoon. I felt the calming soothing effects after about 30 mn, my day was a tiny bit stressful, so it was a great addition.

I decided to experiment with my application points, I have been doing so lately, and I noticed a spot that works GREAT for me, as far as diffusion goes... the top of my head!... I usually put on perfume on my hair, as I have it to my waist, but it's been a couple days that I have been putting a few drops of perfume on top of my head. It lasts a long time and diffuses really well. Kinda like a candle! lol

Anyway- it was definitely one of these nights where I got DIHL reactions at every corners, the famous "stop and stare" slightly creepy reaction. It happend all night, seriously. In the subway, DIHL everwhere, and interestinlgy enough, I even felt this mix was affecting women as well. I went to this art gallery, and definitely got a lot of attention. The main speaker wouldn't stop chatting with me, and I got so many stares. lol After saying goodbye to a couple friends of mine, I walked by this woman who gave me the nicest smile, as if she knew me. There's something about Lace that make people act as if they knew me, or recognized me from somewhere, and it's like they automatically know I'm a nice person. All in all, it was a fun night out.

Ok, another quick store w/ Garland and Lace V1. I wore it this afternoon, and I had a G&L cloud around me, especially the first 2-3 hours after application. I went to the post office, had to send something to the homeland. A man was waiting in front of me in the line, he took a good look at me, I had to borrow a pen from him to fill up a form. I could tell that he was happy I talked to him. While he was being served at the cashier, he turned around, a good 360, to look at me. So funny. Turned out he was a celebrity. I'm so bad at this stuff.

When it was my turn to being helped, the lady at the post office was super friendly, she always always is though. What a sweetheart. She told me that I smelled so good, which was funny, because there was a window in between us, with a tiny opening to communicate. She said it smelt like "baby powder", which I thought was odd at first, but then I wondered if it wasn't connected to the fact G&L is a happy calming phero, so it would make sense that unconsciously, she would have associated it with a soothing scent like baby powder.

I get out of the post office, this lady runs after me, and tells me "oh, I heard you're from France, and I'm going to Paris next Monday". She then asks me to give her a few restaurant names or places she should visit. She is a beautiful middle aged woman, with a very gracious smile. I'm thinking it is sort of odd, that she would give up her place in line to just talk to me outside. But she's acting like she likes me very much already, and is so very friendly to me. I give her a few places that I like in Paris, and then she tells me that actually she wanted to talk me because she has a casting agency, and "I would have been perfect for that Clinique commercial"... . Now that's news. And damn it feels good, cause I just turned 30!! I cannot help but thinking that G&L must have helped a little here! ;-)

Oh and by the way, scent wise, I think the G&L V2 actually lasts longer on my skin.

OH, he does that, ALWAYS!! And, repeatedly! LOL

It's the ultimate self-confidence booster while having some kind of relaxing effect like maybe DYG had. Or maybe when you feel self-confident you are more relaxed and your guard is dropped rather than always being on defense.

Nice post Starlitegirl. I love how you describe self effects from this mix. Makes me want to try it real bad. I often wear a mix purely for self effects. If it affects you in the end it affects others.

This one is BIG success!! I mean yay!! Yummy super duper yummy scent! I got a sniffie today and wow, I will see how it behaves on my skin, but out of the sample, it's pretty unbelieable. Very foody spicy rich. Yum. Did I say "yum"?

Just wanted to drop a quick note since I received my Garland & Lace V2 sample today. It is definitely different from the first version, maybe a little spicier and a little less overtly sweet. It is still a very rich and sweet scent, and I totally love this version. It is super diffusive, and smells so damn good aarrrrgh!!!

There's something about Lace & this mix that makes it super effective phero-wise too. I feel so relaxed and happy, little butterflies in the stomach kind of feeling. I smell some kind of pumpkin note a little more, or maybe it's just me. Or maybe it's the pumpkin.

Interesting Luna! My BF works in a high pressure environment for sure, and he needs to be the alpha guy at work. I am just not sure it is his true personality though. I noticed that sometimes he seems to respond well to mixes with EST and other times, he seems to be put off by EST. I'm wondering if EST, with its "take care of me"-vibe, is the last thing he needs sometimes lol!... Anything too sexual just doesn't work whatsoever, it turns ME on but that's it lol.

But B nol seems to have a comforting vibe without the 'please be nice to me' message. It's still early for me to be sure, I'll wear more of it this week end.

Hey I might have found a phero that puts my man at ease (b-nol, that is), finally! ;-)

I went out for a drink with my BF last night. Sometimes I find myself doing most of the conversation, especially when we're both tired with our work, but last night I thought I'd try something to make HIM talk. lol

I wore LAM honey vanilla + BAM pink amber. It was a great combo. He was very relaxed and a little more chatty than usual. I'm very pleased with the results! Sometimes it is good to go back to the basics. ;-)

I have to share with you my experience with this mix. Which I loooove!!

I got a sample for Christmas, and my first try was quite a shock for me, and I knew I couldn't keep the story to myself. I'm just sorry it takes me so long. Work is kinda crazy. Anyway...

Back to Christmas time, I am, as everyone else, super busy during this time of year. Probably more last year than usual, because I had to take care of my boyfriend who just had surgery. So I played nurse for a couple weeks, and was way behind my own work and my christmas shopping.

I had a week-end to do a million things before taking a train to CT. It was one of the times where you feel like you need 36 hours in the day.

So I decided to try the sample of Garland and Lace for my last day of Christmas shopping, and poured quite a bit of it, maybe a third of the big sample, I don't know...

I just remember that during the whole evening, I could smell this delicious and relaxing scent. I fell in love with it. I felt like I had my own little cloud of scent around me that would protect me and keep me happy no matter what.

The subway ride was relaxing. A time for me to calm down before the craziness in Midtown. That's where I got out. By the time I exited the subway, I was in the happiest of the happy places. I bet I had a little smile on my face.

I had such a wonderful wonderful time. Walking around 5th Avenue with all its Christmas decorations felt like walking through a beautiful fairy tale. I was enchanted. So so happy. Still surrounded by my Garland & Lace cloud. Wow.

I was wearing a casual outfit with jeans + snowboots. It was very snowy and the sidewalks were kind of a mess. But everything was just a blissful adventure.

I got the last present I wanted to find, everything went so smoothly.

And let me tell you about the DIHL reactions I got... it was UN-BELIEVABLE!!!... seriously...

I thought my mind was playing tricks on me, as I felt like EVERY SINGLE MAN was staring at me... and believe me, it was crowded... even women were giving me looks!!

At some point I sense this woman walking right by my side, looking at me, she finally touches my arm gently and tells me : "I have been walking behind you for the last 5 minutes, and every single man was checking you out!"... I laughed and she added "yes, because you're such a beautiful woman"... I told her I'd have to tell that story to my BF, and she's like "oh he's a lucky man".... no gay vibe from this young woman whatsoever, it was just a confirmation of this surreal feeling...

I remember crossing a big intersection, still around 5th Ave, and getting a sense that people were "feeling" me... like there were people litteraly turning around to look at me... it is SO not New York city, where people walk fast and just do what they have to do...

So yep, I felt like some kind of celebrity doing my shopping in the big apple...lol..

When I came back home the first thing I did was to take a good look at myself in the mirror. And nope, it was just me. I didn't look particularly look good that day. My hair was even kind of messy from the snowy weather.

But guess what? I didn't give a damn. I was just a happy camper!

My experience playing with the mix now, is that the Garland & Lace mix seems to work better than the Lace unscented. Probably because it is more diffusive with a scent. I plan on mixing it with relaxing overly sweet scents, like Christmas Clove Cookies and Eggnog Riot.

When I started reading the reviews from all of you about Garland and Lace, my experience with it made more sense. I wasn't ready for such a happy happy phero! Thanks Mara, Dana and Stone research!!

I have had my eyes on this one for a long long time. I asked for a sample a couple months ago and I think this one wasn't available as a free monthly sample. I decided to wait and see what the reviews would say... I am not surprised. The ingredients list just sounds so nice! The cocount part especially!!

i thought mine were fine too untill i noticed the smell being different.

there actually was a burnt-rubber scent to little amounts of the cap/dropper seal melting and then melding with the EoW.

 

mine was only a year old.

 

maybe different batches have different seals.

Ok, thanks for the tips. I am gonna have to check my older bottles then. Haven't heard back from LS yet.

What's weird is that I have some older EoW bottles that are still unopened, and nothing's wrong with them. I might have like a 2 or three, about a year old, totally fine. Go figure.

I have some bottles to transfer the EoW to, I'm not too worried about that.

At least I know the melting rubber cap has happend to other customers. Hopefully they can fix it soon. A separate dropper wouldn't be such a bad idea.

Well then, I guess I'll just get some newer bottles that haven't been eaten up by the fatty acids. I like the EoW from LS and it is such a reasonably priced product too!

I have ordered 2 bottles of EoW from Lovescents recently, well, last week to be precise. Both bottles had a weird identical problem. They were leaking because the rubber cap started to stick to the glass bottle, and kind of tear appart. I informed LS of that, and they were great as usual, and sent me another batch.

The two other bottles I got as replacement had the same issue again. One leaking, one about to. On both bottles the rubber part was loose and coming off. I sent the four bottles back to LS, I wonder if it has to do with the super cold weather, maybe something froze, or maybe it's a manufacturer problem.

I haven't heard back from them, but they might just be going through their inventory right now, to make sure they don't sell faulty bottles.

Who knows?...
